Hi there! We were hearing some uncertainty about Death Policies on DDD and we'd like to reiterate what we have set and let you guys know upfront what's up.
The biggest issue is some have decided to kill off their characters under the assumption they can bring them back whenever and haven't really given any thought to how they're going to be brought back so please keep that in mind. Also, if you only kill your character off for a few hours/a day, maybe you should think about why you even want to? Some plots call for it, and thats understandable but it cheapens the affect of death on other characters. We don't want the attitude of death to be "Oh, ____ died? Yeah, they'll be back soon." That being said, we also don't want to put any limitations on death because they really don't happen that often (more than they used to, but still!) but consider this a friendly reminder to put more thought into your plots. As fun as angst is, well thought out angst is better!
Also, we kindly request that should you kill and revive a character, that the revival technique be in some way related to your character's world. Please mind that not all worlds are connected through their underworld/hell/heaven! It's different and realistically it should be hard for someone not from that world to revive them because of that. Feel free to continue using techniques (for example, the revival ring) to get around that, just don't abuse them.
Death plots -- even if they're small and/or affect maybe one character-- need to be approved by a moderator.

Whenever I come back, I really want to get the PW characters through the third game canon, but the death of one of the characters (who we do have here) is integral to the plot. I don't want the mun to have to give up her character, but the PW universe doesn't have any, um... resurrection process. The most they have is spirit channeling, which allows a soul to temporarily inhabit the body of a medium.
What could we do in that case?

Any thoughts or input (not just from mods) would be incredibly fantastic.

In X, Sorata's ultimate destiny is to die for the woman he loves, despite being duty-bound to protect Kamui. Anyway, in an attempt to free her from that, Arashi joined the opposite side and was told to kill Kamui in order to save Sorata.
...that didn't turn out so well. That (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRAcOBRNY7Y&feature=related) is the canonical result of it. And we've talked with Yue about it, and she's willing to have Easter resurrect Sora afterward once he and Arashi have talked with her because she's not going to resurrect a complete stranger. The revival will probably happen a few weeks after Sora's deathpost so that we can wrap up the series' canon.
Nobody really came back to me about it, so I'm assuming it's alright? I just wanted to double-check to make sure.
