History:
Warning - spoilers for Heroes through 4x09 Shadowboxing.
History:
► born the second child to Angela and Arthur (a wealthy businessman and socialite) Petrelli on 28 December, 1979.
► was tested for the genetic code that codes for abilities because apparently this technology existed in '79 according to Heroes.
► disappointed his father by becoming a nurse.
► is the caretaker of Charles Deveaux, who has (at the time unrealized) connections to the Petrelli through Primatech, and befriends (read: sleeps with and dates) his daughter Simone.
► tells his brother they can fly, tries to jump off a building to prove it, winds up getting saved by Nathan and they both flyoff into the sunset together.
► Nathan tries to convince Peter he is nuts. Eventually gives into Peter's demands and admits that they have ~*abilities*~. Peter decides they should be heroes.
► is visited by future!Hiro Nakamura who gives him the cryptic message "save the cheerleader, save the world".
► visits Isaac, Simone's ex-boyfriend, and sponges his ability to see the future, confirming his ability as an empath and discovering that Isaac has predicted that New York will blow up.
► Peter fights with his brother about WANTING TO SAVE THE WORLD by getting a painting of Isaac's that Simone mentioned from Linderman. Spares his brother's adultery coming out by lying about being in a mental hospital in Vegas.
► decides to go to Odessa, Texas to find Claire Bennet after seeing a photograph of aforementioned painting. Sylar attacks Claire at homecoming and kills her fellow cheerleader instead. Peter saves her, and himself by taking her ability through osmosis. He's ~*her hero*~.
► questioned by LAPD regarding the attack at Union Wells. Doesn't say shit to Matt Parkman, but has his mind read, and gains the ability to do the same. They telepathically exchange information about the save the cheerleader, save the world plot.
► Nathan breaks Peter out of LAPD holding, Peter goes into a coma where he sees visions of Claude and visions of himself exploding. When he wakes up, he tries to go to a place where nuclear testing is done, but instead runs into Claude when he sees him steal a woman's purse. He inadvertently stole Claude's invisibility power, making it also possible for him to see Claude.
► Claude teaches Peter to use his power, including that he adapted some of Sylar's abilities from their short exchange.
► confronts Isaac, gets Simone shot, sobs tenderly over her corpse.
► goes to see Mohinder Suresh, but gets assaulted by Sylar. Goes invisible, gets stabbed in the back of the head with a shard of glass and "dies" until Claire pulls it out because she knew it worked for her. He recovers fully.
► asks Claire to be ready to shoot him if he goes nuclear in Kirby Plaza where he helps fight to stop Sylar and inadvertently inherits Ted's ability and goes nuclear himself. He gets flown into the sky by Nathan, presumed dead.
► actually brought Nathan to the hospital to get him healed, then dragged to a Primatech facility by Bob and Elle Bishop. He's incarcerated in a cell beside Adam Monroe. Establishes a terse "relationship" with Elle. He breaks out with Adam and goes to cure his brother. Gets caught by Primatech, but helped out by the Haitian who simply erases his memory and puts him in a shipping crate with a box of things that may help his memory return. Such a bro.
► shipped to Ireland where he has drama with a family there and ~*loves Caitlin*~. They go to Montreal to uncover his past together and he accidentally leaves her in a dystopian future where the Shanti Virus has decimated the world. Oops. He forgets about her promptly and goes on to help destroy the virus. He is manipulated by Adam Monroe into helping him get his hands on the most dangerous and incurable strain of the virus, uses Hiros' timestop ability to get it back from Adam and destroy it with concentrated nuclear force.

Current Characters: Birkin, James, Krauser, and Dojima
Character: Roderich Edelstein/Austria
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia
Character Notes:
History: Thanks to the Habsburg family which ruled Austria, and by extension the Holy Roman Empire, from the end of the 13th century to the start of WWI, Austria has long been associated with wealth and opulence. For most of its history, Austria was a Duchy, which was only changed after WWI thanks to the trouble that Archduke Franz Ferdinand caused to the rest of the world. Thanks to the Treaty of Carlowitz signed in 1699, Hungary became joined with Austria.
Before Marie Theresa (a Habsburg) could ascend to the throne as Archduchess, a series of wars broke out to control the German-speaking people began between Austria and Prussia, the two largest Germanic states at the time. The whole thing was started when Prussia, who was allied with France, decided that a woman was forbidden to rule. Austria, knowing that there was no such law ever stated, wasn’t willing to interrupt the Habsburgs’ power, thus starting the War of Austrian Succession. During the first year of the war, Prussia invaded Silesia, which was taken very personally. Austria essentially fought with Prussia until he was kicked out of the German Federation after being defeated in the last decisive battle of the Austro-Prussian War. It’s important to note that there were an additional four wars between Austrian Succession and the Austro-Prussian thus prompting the two countries to hate each other forever and ever. Or at least until Germany later engulfed Prussia in 1934.
After Ferdinand’s assassination and the completion of WWI, the Austria-Hungary Empire was split into Austria and Hungary, although the two nations remained extremely close thanks to their joint cultures. In 1938, Germany and Austria united under the Third Reich, which is commonly known as the Anschluss.
Personality: Roderich is rather behind the times, much preferring to live in the past than the present thanks, in part, to his stubborn nature. Despite the waning military power, he despises being taken lightly. However, he is much more optimistic and quiet than his fellow Germanic countries. When he does speak, Roderich is careful to speak very elegantly and politely. He doesn’t enjoy working very hard and values music and art and food much more than war. Roderich is the type of guy to always put himself and his hobbies (mostly playing the piano or violin) above others, and usually expects other people to do things for him, such as bringing him tea.
Other: The little group of hair sticking out of the top of his head represents the city of Mariazell. His glasses represent all the great classical music that’s been written by Austrian composers. Needless to say, he’s very protective of both. Also! I'm actually going to be taking him from the modern era this time around, so... Huzzah.

DOUBLE-YOO TEE EFF AM I DOING?! Austria - again - 2/2
![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
First Person (entry type): Mein Gott! Does Prussia ever do anything other than interrupt me when I’m trying to practice? I understand that he is currently sharing a residence with Germany, but it doesn’t give him the right to barge into any room that he pleases while I'm here. Especially considering his room-of-choice is typically mine. It’s impossible to practice the violin when all he does is complain about how der alte Fritz is a superior musician to me and how he wishes I would play half as well as he could. Perhaps if I practiced my art on Hans Hermann von Katte’s flute, I would measure up to his beloved Frederick II. But, until that day, he’s just going to need to stop whining and leave me be while I occupy my time with something much more pleasant than dealing with him and his problems. At least when Italy forgets to knock, he apologizes and listens politely when I practice in front of him. I must have trained him well.
Third Person: His practiced hands touched the keys, ending the silence that had become heavy. Roderich’s eyes closed as he listened to his playing. He’d practiced this melody so many times before he didn’t even need to look at the music. It was better that way; the passion was much more obvious when the fundamentals had been memorized. Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 8 flowed through the house, as Roderich’s fingers fluttered over his well-loved piano. Every chipper note reminded the Austrian of birds singing in the morning, sitting perched on a tree. Or maybe even rain falling on a lake, the lower, more ominous notes would have to be thunder or the wind or some such thing. Or maybe it was supposed to be –
Roderich’s eyes snapped open as he hit a wrong note. With an annoyed sigh, he realized that he evidently should have practiced a bit more. Staring intently at the sheet music, he began practicing the section that made him ruin the song, angry at himself for letting his mind wander so far away from the notes themselves.

Character: Havelock Vetinari
Fandom: Discworld
Character Notes: I'm planning to take him from roughly after Going Postal, although his history's only covering him through Night Watch.
History:
Havelock Vetinari was educated through the Assassins' Guild, like many of his peers. Said peers bullied him, calling him "dog-botherer" and destroying his books. They, however, didn't have ideas about stealth and camouflage, and so Havelock often got the last smirk, as it were. They also weren't raised by his aunt, the Madam, or Lady Roberta Meserole. She was the first in a long line of people that taught him everything he knows. She also had a fondness for cats. One night, a riot started in Dolly Sisters and spread through out the city like a relay. All the Watch Houses were targeted, except for the Cable Street Particulars, because they tortured people, and the one on Treacle Mine Road, because of Sergeant Keel's interference. Havelock shadowed the latter for part of the night on the behest of his Aunt, and even saved his life once, thanks in part to a well timed crossbow bolt. He, however, had bigger fish to fry. During a party elsewhere, it was arranged for the current patrician, Homicidal Lord Winder, to be assassinated and replaced with Lord Snapcase. Vetinari killed him via heart attack, leaving his sword behind.
While the Revolutionaries thought Snapcase was their man, he would soon go down in history as Mad Lord Snapcase for a very accurate reason. One of his first acts upon assuming office was to order Sergeant Keel's assassination, mainly because through the cunning use of barricades, the Glorious People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road had survived the entire riot without getting destroyed by the military. Highly suspicious. Vetinari rushed off to prevent the murder, but alas, he arrived too late. Not late enough to kill four people in the ensuing fight, or pick up a spring of lilac to identify himself. In particular, he learned something from Sergeant Keel: how to organize a city. There were a few suspicious qualities to the night, pieces that didn't fit, but they were put out of mind in order to better deal with reality around him. For a time.
His education continued. He graduated from the Assassins' Guild with top marks, and went on the traditional Grand Sneer with several other nobles to Uberwald. There, he met a vampire named Lady Margolotta. Havelock taught her everything he knew, and he picked up a few things from her in return. However, the status was not to remain quo. They both had bigger, better places to build, and better, bigger things to be done. They parted, better and bigger people. Vetinari returned to Ankh-Morpork, and the real work began. He built a sufficient power base in his city, and when Lord Snapcase was removed from power many years later, Vetinari took office. Almost immediately, he built up the guilds. The Seamstresses lacking needles, the Beggars lacking funds, the Thieves lacking flimsy enough pockets; all of them and then some got a representative and a system to support them. For a given value of support. In short, everyone got very organized, very quickly. The gears of Ankh-Morpork, long dormant due to the wizards constantly killing each other and the lords creating police states, began to slowly work again.

For a given value of support. In short, everyone got very organized, very quickly. The gears of Ankh-Morpork, long dormant due to the wizards constantly killing each other and the lords creating police states, began to slowly work again.
All of these changes had the slight side effect of making the Night Watch utterly unnecessary, at least in the view of many. The Thieves' Guild took care of most crime in the city, ironically enough, and thus the Watch dwindled into a joke. Also, just because the city worked didn't mean people liked Lord Vetinari being the one with the gear switch. Many people clamored for a return to kings, for themselves to get promoted, for numerous things that in the city Lord Vetinari changed would mean certain disaster. That didn't stop people from wanting them. And one year, many after Lord Vetinari assumed power and the Watch assumed irrelevance, a king appeared. Or, rather, a dragon summoned so that a king would kill it and thus depose Vetinari. But dragons are fickle, and the plan grew out of control, so that no one would be able to slay the dragon. Lord Vetinari was placed in the dungeons, but all the bolts and bars were on the inside. All the locks were on the outside. They soon became unlocked, because Vetinari knew better than to build a cell he couldn't get out of.
At the end of the crisis, Lord Vetinari was back in command, a dragon had been arrested, the Watch had proved incredibly useful in excising plotting head clerks, said head clerk was killed by the book, and a king had appeared after all. He just didn't want the position. Lord Vetinari hired Rufus Drumknott as his next head clerk, and then the Watch began to rise up, or rather, Captain Vimes did. It started slowly at first, and Vetinari made a key mistake along the way, but it all started turning right for the city when Leonard of Quirm invented a Gonne. It was given to the Assassins' Guild to be destroyed, but somehow, they never quite got around to that crucial detail. Funny how that always happens. In an effort to pressure Captain Vimes into solving the case, Lord Vetinari threatened to take away his badge. This, however, didn't result in a dent in the wall as usual. For once, Lord Vetinari misplayed his hand and invoked the wrong trope, causing a Heroic Blue Screen of Death instead of the desired response.
He paid for this error with bullet wound to the leg. Ever since this injury, he's walked with a cane. The Night Watch caught up to him before the would-be assassin could finish the job, and promptly put a stop to the gonne with the cunning use of swords. Of the sort that get stuck in stones, and need to be pulled out again. Shortly after this incident, when all the loose ends were being promptly tied up, Corporal Carrot met with him. They reached an understanding, and for some bizarre reason, it ended with Vimes promoted to Commander of the Watch and Captain Carrot learning the meaning of the word "politician". Also, that the golden throne of Ankh-Morpork is really mostly rotten wood covered in gold leaf, but as usual, it's the belief that counts.
In the fall, yet another person tried to kill him, because criminals never seem to learn their lesson. This time, the plotter tried to poison him via arsenic candles to replace him with a puppet Patrician. It worked for exactly one night and not a moment more, because it appears Dragon King of Arms forgot Vetinari attended the Assassins' Guild. He cut the poison out of the candles as soon as he caught on, and used the bedrest as time to get some important writing done. He didn't, however, inform Commander Vimes of this, and continued to fake the symptoms of the poison in order to let Vimes solve the case in his own time. Mainly because it's entertaining, but also because it's how it works.

Character: Yosuke Hanamura
Fandom: Persona 4
Character Notes:
History: Yosuke Hanamura grew up most of his life in the city, making him a city boy at heart, who loves keeping himself busy and finding things to do all the time. He had a wonderful time there, enjoying everything and all the friends he had made.
However, a year prior to the arrival of the Protagonist, Souji Seta, Yosuke and his family moved to Yasoinaba, a quiet country town that was pretty much the exact opposite of the life he was used to living. It was there that his parents set up Junes, and he reluctantly came to be known as the "Junes kid."
When Seta arrives, we first meet Yosuke as he crashes his bike into a nearby pole, grimacing in pain. However, we don’t get our first formal introduction until a few days later, when he manages to run his bike into a garbage pile and get his head stuck in a trash can. He befriends the Protagonist and offers him a ride to school, saying the bike is still trustworthy. From there, the two build a close relationship.
Soon after, mysterious murders start happening in Inaba, first with an announcer, Mayumi Yamano, and then with one of Yosuke’s crushes, Saki Konishi. For him, it hits Yosuke pretty hard, and he wants to go find out exactly how she had died, and why. After discovering that Souji can travel into a TV, and falling in there by accident with him and Chie, he and Seta decide to brave the TV world again, in order to see if that’s where Saki-senpai died. Upon approaching the recreation of the supposed store her family owned, Yosuke heard the real thoughts of Saki, and they were very disheartening.

Character Notes:
History: Two years prior to the events of the movie, Lisa Reisert was raped in a parking lot in the middle of the day. The man held a knife to her throat the entire time, leaving a scar on her breast just below the neckline of most v-neck shirts. She became quite reclusive, not doing much else but work and sleep, her personal life disappeared. A manager at the Lux Atlantic Hotel in Miami, she appointed her assistant as manager while she went to her grandmother's funeral in Dallas. When she's boarding the flight back, she meets the charming Jackson Rippner in the line while they're being delayed and rerouted. They go to get drinks while they wait, and he continues to turn on the charm.
When she boards the plane, she's pleasantly surprised to find that he is in the seat beside her. Once the plane takes off, Jackson informs Lisa that he is managing a terrorist organization that is trying to assassinate the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security - Charles Keefe, a personal friend of Reisert's who, that night, is checking into the hotel Lisa manages. He tells Lisa that if she doesn't move him to Suite 4080, where his men can safely shoot him from the bay, then her father will be killed by one of his men.
At first, Lisa tries to play hero. First, she writes and SOS in a book that she lent to another passenger. Jackson catches on and headbutts Lisa unconscious, then goes to knock the other woman unconscious as well and steal her book. When she wakes, she sneaks away to the bathroom and writes "bomb in (Rippner's seat)" in soap. However, Jackson catches on and follows her to the bathroom. Seeing the message, he shoves her inside and tells her that their partnership won't work if she isn't "honest with him." He then notices the scar on her chest and asks how she got it, she evades and they return to their seats after being chastised by the stewardess for using the bathroom as a motel.
The first time she tries to call, the phone cuts out. After she finally moves him, Rippner says he can't let her father go until they've landed and the hit has been made. The plane lands, and Lisa tells the story of how she got the scar. She says there's one thing she learned from it and Jackson asked if it was that she realized there were some things that were just out of her control. She retorts by saying that what she decided was that she'd never let it happen again and proceeded to stab Jack in the throat with a pen immediately afterward. She makes a run for it, changing her appearance as she darts through the airport. She steals an SUV, and Rippner's cell phone, and calls the hotel to move Keefe out of the room just in time. She heads for her house and runs through the front door in order to kill the man who was going inside to kill her father.
Jackson, however, follows her. He knocks her father out and attempts to attack her as well, but Lisa winds up shooting him. It is unclear of whether he lives or dies, but Lisa appears to have become empowered because after the police arrive she goes to the hotel and tells off a group of customers who were harassing her assistant while they were on the phone.

Character: Yuri Lowell.
Fandom: Tales of Vesperia.
Character Notes:
History: Yuri was born and raised in the city of Zaphias, the capital city of the great Empire. With no family to speak of and commoners' blood, Yuri lived in the Lower Quarter with the rest of the city's lower class. Yuri was an energetic boy, and he spent his days in fierce, friendly competition with his best friend Flynn Scifo who, like Yuri, was also being raised in the Lower Quarter. The two boys were thick as thieves, adventurous and inseparable. They were friendly rivals, turning every simple act into a competition, running relay races and practicing swordfighting, boasting about how they would one day change the world.
Though his education was shaky at best and his connections weren't the most savory, he was instilled with a great sense of self and the desire to make a difference in the world. Or at least in the city. Disdainful of how the lower class was treated by those above them, Yuri and Flynn together enlisted in the knights; if they could not change the Empire's ways from the outside, they would work their way up from the inside to fix the laws and bring about a better lifestyle for the lower classes.
Yuri, however, soon became disillusioned with knighthood. The corruption within the knights was something that he couldn't deal with. Of the two of them, Flynn seemed the better candidate for knighthood anyway -- he had always been the more upstanding, while Yuri the more delinquent, preferring instead to work from the shadows. Jaded and no longer the idealistic youth he once was, Yuri was convinced that working for the knights would not bring him what he desired and felt that it was not the life for him. This change in perspective, however, drove a wedge between Yuri and Flynn, and the two became somewhat estranged, though still fast friends. Yuri continued along a more iniquitous lifestyle, landing himself in jail over thirty separate times for misdemeanor offenses often spurred by his contempt of the knights and nobles.
Everything changed, however, when Yuri was arrested for sneaking into a noble's mansion in an attempt to recover a stolen Aque Blastia core ( part of a device that provided water to the lower quarter ). After assisting the princess Estellise in escaping the castle, Yuri was swept up in a complicated plot to save the world. He crossed continents and explored ruins, attracting trouble everywhere he went, and though his methods were often unorthodox, Yuri was indeed making a difference in the world. He became something of a vigilante, destroying the sources of the Empire's corruption and even murduring some of the men involved, much to the chagrin of Flynn, who was constantly striving to lead Yuri onto a law-abiding path. Yuri was set in his ways, however, and he continued to work from the shadows, employing his own sense of justice whenever it was deemed necessary.
To further estrange himself from the Empire and its corrupt laws and politicians, Yuri formed a Guild with his friends Judith and Karol. The Guilds were independent from the Empire and lived by their own rules, apart from the Empire; by forming a Guild, Yuri fully divorced himself from everything that the Empire stood for and controlled, furthering the rift between himself and Flynn. However as the plot became more dire, and as Flynn climbed the ranks of knighthood and claimed the status of Commandant, the Guilds and the Empire began to work together. United by the worldwide threat of the Adephagos -- a catastrophic force intent on devouring the planet -- the two enemies began forging new treaties, combining forces to eliminate the threat and make for a better world.
What began as a quest to recover a Blastia Core ended in a fight to save all of humanity. Before that day he had hardly ever left Zaphias, but as Yuri traveled further and made many new friends and acquaintances his adventurous spirit shone brighter and brighter. By the time the events of the game came to a close, he had come down with a severe case of Wanderlust, and he planned to spend the rest of his days exploring the wide world of Terca Lumieres. He had set out to change the world, and with the assistance of his friends and comrades, he helped to do just that.

In the beginning, Ovan is the Guildmaster of The Twilight Brigade and, along with his guild, is in search of the Key of the Twilight. He is the one who rescues Haseo after he’s PKed and takes him under his wing. Unfortunately, his interest in Haseo caught the attention of Naobi, the leader of the TaN Guild. This starts a war between the two Guilds.
When Haseo finally makes a discovery about where the Key of Twilight is hiding, Ovan is captured by Naobi, who had used the entire thing as a trap. Ovan had been expecting something like that and in the meantime had been gathering information about the illegal activities of TaN. After he disappeared, Shino sent this information to the SysAdmins who disbanded TaN. Even though the guild was disbanded, it didn’t really matter as Naobi and his assistant, Ender, were really the SysAdmins Yata and Pi. They had been interested in Ovan due to his character data being larger than what a normal PC’s should be. With him captured, they were free to scan over his character to try and figure it out. Eventually they broke the seal on his arm and during the flash of light that occurred because of it, he was able to escape and return back to the World.
When he had returned, his guild had disbanded and the only remaining members were Haseo and Tabby. During his disappearance, Shino had been attacked by Tri-Edge and killed, being turned into a Lost One. He decided to wander the system, choosing to ignore contact with former friends and allies. While he wandered, he was trailed by Azure Kite. When Azure Kite attacked him at Briona Gwydion the Dragonbein Range, he used his left arm to fight with Azure Kite, forcing the powerful character to retreat. It turned out that Ovan’s left arm contained an AIDA. Ovan knew that Azure Kite had only been driven off and that he would eventually return.
Eventually, Haseo became known as a powerful PKKer known as “The Terror of Death.” Out of nowhere, Ovan called him to the Arche Koeln Waterfall and told him that Tri-Edge would appear in the Hulle Granz Cathedral soon. He hinted that defeating Tri-Edge might bring Shino back. Because it was Ovan that had given him the information, Haseo went to the Cathedral and as Ovan had said and that was where he informed Haseo of Shino’s state in the real world. After Ovan leaves, Azure Kite appears. While Haseo was engaged in battle with Kite, Ovan contacted Phyllo and met him at the Falls and told him

Character: Cain Knightlord/Crusnik 01/Mein Herr Contra Mundi

Character Notes:
History:
➝ roughly 1000 years ago, in the year 2060, humans decided that at they weren't going to stop making babies and the earth got overpopulated. They sought to settle Mars, which they successfully colonized. There, they found two strains of viruses - one called Basilik and one called Crusnik. The Basilik turned the human colonists into Methuselah - or vampires, but they couldn't find a good host for the Crusnik virus. Hence, Cain, Abel and Seth were commissioned from the prototype Lilith.
➝ Being genetically superior, Cain never really cared about how different he was, but rather how the same everyone was. There he was a pilot, an engineer, a programmer -everything he did, was for the colonies. He became the kind, loved leader of the colonies until one day a terrible accident occurred and he died. Abel, being distraught over his clone/twin brother's death, injected him with 100 percent of the nanomachines - causing cain to successfully come back to life, but he also went batshit insane.
➝ Though its not said what happened, the Methuselah on the colonies became upset with the humans that commissioned them and Abel's hate grew and grew. Abel wanted to destroy humanity, Seth wanted world domination and Cain - well, no one really understood what Cain wanted. The Dark Ages were the times when the colonists, the Methuselah called the Returners came to Earth to claim their rightful spot. The war between humans and Methuselah never stopped - however, something changed.
➝ Abel, Cain and Seth successfully wiped out almost half the human population, but they could only move at night because of the Methuselah. What is now known in their world as the Vampire Moon was their headquarters, and arc. Lilith, their prototype and Abel's girlfriend, was starting to get on Cain's nerves. She had managed to persuade Abel that he loved the humans and that this wasn't something that he wanted. So, in an effort to lure her, he proposed peace talks in the Arc. Lilith, knowing her fate was to die at his hand, went on the ship and confronted Abel behind Cain's back. Then, in front of Abel, he pulled off her head and absorbed her nanomachines, saying "you can't protect the ones you love, Abel, that's why you've become an enemy of this world".
➝ Abel was furious and snapped, Seth was outraged at her brother's actions and they managed to seal him in a coffin and they shoved him off the Arc before they themselves came down to Earth. Cain's coffin burned into ash, but over 1000 years he managed to piece himself back together again using the nanomachines. With one problem - Lilith's nanomachines made it so that he could never really be in one piece. A savior came, his dear friend Isaak and together, they formed the Rozenkruz Orden; enemies of the world and the lead antagonists in Trinity Blood. They picked up and trained a young Dietrich as if he was their own.
➝ His current goal is to absorb abel's nanomachines and then start rebuilding the world as he sees fit - how they saw fit, 1000 years ago. Isaak, a genius, is the maker of his current body - though it still has its issues, Cain works with it because his life his hard and he takes what he can get.
Personality:
Other: I totally understand that playing his twin brother/clone requires some playercest, but Abel doesn't even know that Cain's alive till the very/near end of the series.
Additional Links: Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Trinity_Blood_characters#Cain_Nightlord), but it isn't really reliable. I'd be hoping to play him from the novels and the manga, rather than the anime.
Like Abel, there's a "public" Cain and a "real" Cain.
➝ Public Cain is a real dap. He's clumsy, vain, selfish, and just downright adorable. But, even then, there's something a little off. He's too handsome, too kind and too social. This was the Cain that everyone once knew on Mars and the one that all the colonists came to love. Though, now it's just a facade he keeps up so that no one can really find out who he is.
➝ Real Cain or Mein Herr, Contra Mundi is vengeful, hateful and manipulative. Even though he makes it seem that he loves his dear Rozenkruz members, they know that failure means their death. He would do anything to get what he wants: kill his "family", millions of people - it doesn't matter. He's out to shape the world in his own visage. With that, he takes everything to the next level; he believes himself to be above humanity and almost ethereal. When not in his crusnik form, he has the ability to control matter around him to best fit his needs. When in Crusnik form, the guy is a godmod and does all sorts of things - with the exception that he can't go very long or else his body can't sustain him and he becomes a pile of goo nanomachines.
Both Cains often talk in tildes and hearts, though they're rarely genuine and if they are, it's often a passive aggressive threat onto a person. He says things like, "Oh dear, that must be terrible!" when he himself caused the malady.
Other: I totally understand that playing his twin brother/clone requires some playercest, but Abel doesn't even know that Cain's alive till the very/near end of the series.

History: I suppose a good place to start would be to say that Mariya's late grandmother was the chairman of two prestigious religious schools, separated by gender. The heirs to these schools were the Shidou twins, Mariya and Shizu. When she passed on, she left this challenge to decide who would inherit chairmanship of both schools: Each of the twins would attend the school meant for the opposite gender, to get to know how the opposite gender thought. Mariya would attend Ame no Kisaki and Shizu, the connected boy's school. If either of them was found out to be their real gender, they would lose chairmanship and the other would win. Mariya went with this for his entire school career, until, one day, a transfer student, Miyamae Kanako (a lesbian looking for her "yuri partner" with Mariya as her ideal canidate), stumbled upon his maid, Matsurika, lacing up his corset. Since Kanako isn't a student just yet, Mariya swears her to silence, and goes as far as to stalk her and move into her dorm room to make sure Kanako doesn't tell. He watches her every move. Every. Personality: Maryia comes across as a sweet girl. She's organized, helpful and kind. There is never a moment when she is not selflessly helping another or generously donating her time. Being the freshman class president, most of the girls at Ame no Kisaki look up to her. But as much as Mariya isn't a girl, he isn't any of those things, either. Mariya Shidou is a monster. When he shows his true colors, he's haughty and sadistic, using every weakness he knows of on his victim. He's observant, and can see through people easily, which he ALWAYS uses to his advantage. He's gone as far as to threaten and use his own twin sister to get what he wants (though he claims it's out of love). I'm sure he has a heart in there somewhere, as he does try to help others quite often--or is that just because he wants to keep up his image?
Other: Mariya is a member of the archery team, the freshman class president and a highly respected member of the student body. He also has breast-envy aginst the student body president, whom he has a long rivalry with. His maid, Matsurika, follows him EVERYWHERE. And he often uses her to get what he needs, going as far as to rip open her blouse to peg Kanako as a sexual offender.

Re: Mega Man 2/? (Sorry for the long history!)

Character: Rock “Mega” Light (aka DLN 001(aka Mega Man))
Fandom: Mega Man (Classic)
Character Notes:
History: Rock’s history is full of...angst! Love! And obsession...Okay I lied there. It’s full of repletion that, eventually start to get on his nerves, around the 7th-12th (depending on where you place the gameboy games) iteration (I mean seriously it’s the same plot 17 times! Except for the soccer one…and the racing one…).
Part 1! Dr. Wily steals/builds/reprograms/talks 8 Robot Master type robots into fighting for him to get revenage on Dr. Light! Part 2! Mega Man fights! Part 3! Mega Man copies the ablity of the fallen Robot Master. Part 4! Repeat Part 2 and Part 3 until all 8 are defeated, Optional, there may be an intermission stage somewhere near the halfway point where you fight a Boss that does not give you a weapon. Part 5! To (sometimes) Skull Castle! Defeat the guy in charge of it! It may or may not be Wily. Optional Part 6! To the actual Skull Castle! Part 7! Defeat Wily! Optional Part 8! Defeat the actual Dr. Wily! Part 9! Walk into the sunset. Part 10! Get rid of everything that would be useful for the next game. (This is for if the full version of the History feels to long for some)
There is a lot more to it, but that is the basic break down for the games. The history is going to be slightly devived into Main canon games, GB games, the side games (that are in canon), and the wonderswan game, so the History may be slightly out of order due to that capcom never stated where those games fit in excatly.
In the first Game, Rock is created by Dr. Light as a Tool-bot/lab assistant along with his counterpart, Roll, a housekeeping robot. Dr. Wily is jealous of Dr. Light and rationally decides that stealing 6 (8 if Bass-mun is going by Powered Up Canon) of his Robot Master and reprogramming to take over the world, is a perfect way of getting revenage...Yeah...that makes sense? So Mega Man, who’s been programmed with a strong sense of right and wrong, volunteers to get remodel to combat them (and in Powered Up, brings them home to be repaired and reprogrammed.) He eventually defeats them all and fights and beats Wily.

Character: Dietrich von Lohengrin

Character Notes:
History:
Dietrich was born to the family of the Duke of Germanicus in the year 3042. Ever since he was very young, his nature was evil intent and quite smart, unusually so. It was because of these two things that he was avoided and feared by the occupants of his village; as well as the reason why his own father tried to kill him.
However; he obviously failed - and instead, Dietrich was the one who killed him. Not only did Dietrich murder his father, but he slaughtered the rest of his family as well. After doing so, Dietrich continued to live in his home - torturing and playing with the villagers at will all before he met Cain and Isaak one day; at the age of seven.
It was then at this age, that Dietrich joined the Rosenkreuz Orden, and by the age of ten he was already in a high ranking position. It is said that Dietrich was taught under the study of Isaak which basically can be noted as the day all shit hit the fan
Dietrich is the only Terran in the Orden that is known of, and takes his involvement in Der Orden quite seriously. His current rank is 8=3 Magister; Order of the Magi. This makes Dietrich the third ranked and one of the most dangerous. His codename is Marionettenspieler; affectionately so. It means Puppet Master.
Studying under Isaak, it's believed that it's this way that he was was able to learn the art of making what Dietrich calls, Death Hunters. These Death Hunters are the Orden's soldiers; which Dietrich makes from the corpses of dead Vampires. I think thats about it for history, there isn't much revealed :{
Personality:
Dietrich's personality is probably the exact opposite of what it truly is when you first meet him. He'll come off sweet enough, the sort of helpful soul that just wants to make things a little better, and will always seem to take an interest in you. This however, is just another fine act.
All for his own benefit, Dietrich's true personality is both complex and a bit immature all in own 'surprise' package. He see's the world only as his to play with, as his own personal playground for entertainment for his constant boredom. He'll use others as he sees fit; no matter who or what they might be.
Through all his bad-doingand mind-fuckery, Dietrich actually believes that what he does within the Orden will actually be beneficial to the world. Even his views on what will 'help' the world are too obviously immature.
While having nothing but underlining evil intent and holding people with false security; he does it all immaturely so. Dietrich sees manipulating others as just a game - one to give himself a good laugh until he becomes bored yet again. A skilled manipulator of people and events, he also has the ability to physically control the body of anyone, human or vampire, living or dead.
It should also be noted that Dietrich doesn't really have any genuine emotional feelings when it comes to others; often throwing around the world 'love' without possibly even understanding the actual meaning of what it's like to 'love' anything. Dietrich will often state his love for Esther, while it's more of a obsession than it is love, taunting and teasing her - and stating he loves her for her foolish ways and yet how brave she is, unrelenting. There isn't any doubt that Dietrich doesn't love these people like Esther, however his love only seems to be that of childish nature, with no real knowledge on how to care for or treat an object of 'love' past a tortured obsession.
Dietrich (in official art, and some pages in the Manga,)is often at times seen carrying around marionette dolls in his arms. Either disfigured or just the 'naked' doll itself, Dietrich seems to have his own "personal collection", if you will.

Character: Mileina Vashti
Fandom: Gundam 00
Character Notes:
History: Mileina is one of the few children brought up in Celestial Being; her mother, Linda, is an engineer, and her father, Ian, is an engineer, mechanic, and developer. Both of them worked to develop the Gundams, and they met, married, and had Mileina while they were members of the organization.
She was brought up on Krung Thep (Lagrange-3) and had an... unusual childhood. Her father taught her engineering and mechanics from an early age; whether by natural genius or practiced skill, by the age of 14 she's skilled enough to be an operator (bridge bunny) for the Ptolemaios, and even takes over mechanical upkeep from her father when he's injured. During the timeline of the first season, she had stayed with her mother, and although she loves both of her parents, is at her happiest when her mother is around.
Personality: Mileina is incredibly upbeat, to put it mildly. She's easily the most cheerful member of the crew, and tries her best to get along with everyone. She has a habit of inferring romances from two people being in the same room for a bit too long, and when she turns out to be wrong, blames the failure of her maiden's intuition. She's a complete romantic at heart, but due to her age, it pretty much makes her act like a teenage fanfiction writer.
Despite her young age, she's both incredibly intelligent and incredibly strong emotionally. She can be sitting on the bridge under heavy fire or during a nosedive into the sea and not flinch; when her father is injured, once she knows he's going to be all right, she takes over his duties without complaint. She'll stay up all night programming or repairing the Gundams, and still be bright and chipper the next morning. Basically, she's very mature in some ways, and endearingly immature in others.
Other: In Japanese she uses desu on the end of everything. Even grammatically impossible things. Best way I can find to convey that in English is having her be super polite sometimes, and call everyone by their proper names with honorifics.

First Person (entry type): Papa said I could decorate the base for Christmas if Mr. Erde didn't have a problem with it! And he said that it would be a cold day in heck before that happened, except he didn't say heck because he said it under his breath and he didn't think I was listening but I have very good hearing! But Mama would give him a scolding if she heard him talk like that so I won't say anything at all.
Anyway I don't know why he said that because Mr. Erde is very nice and works very hard! Sometimes when I was little he wouldn't be very nice but then I didn't see him for ages and then he came back and he looks so sad sometimes, so maybe he had a traumatic breakup with a secret girlfriend except when I asked Papa he said I shouldn't bother him about it but I knew that already! Because when people are sad about traumatic breakups you most definitely should not intrude, except if he decided to tell me I wouldn't mind because I know it is a good story!
But I was talking about Christmas, which will be so much fun now that more people are here! And Mr. Erde said he didn't have a problem with any decorations as long as they didn't break safety codes so I read the codes all the way through because I am a mature person who can decorate by herself!!
Third Person: Mileina yawned and stretched, leaning from side to side to work out the kinks in her back. “Mama, I'm going to go and get a drink!”
“You can take a longer break than that, dear,” her mother said with a tired smile. They'd been sitting back to back at the consoles, programming safety subroutines, for longer than Linda was comfortable with letting her young daughter work. But she had to admit, she was a great help; it was almost as if she'd grown up learning computer commands and protocols as a native language.
Mileina herself had no objection to helping with her parents' work. She liked nothing more than to sit next to her mother and chatter about fingernail polish and soap operas, or to hand tools to her father as he climbed inside a hard-to-reach mechanism and emerged triumphant and covered in engine oil. And everyone on the base was so nice, and she'd known most of them since she was a baby so they were practically an extended family, and the network up here was so fast and the storage space so huge she could download as many episodes of her soap operas as she wanted. On Earth, she'd be in middle school, hanging out at the mall on weekends, but she rarely even thought of that; to her, this life was completely normal, and she wouldn't trade it for anything.

History:
An extremely serious, but dedicated individual, Kresnik holds the position of commander to an organization named Brionac. He, along with nine other individuals, follow Captain Lambda and his ideal in establishing a democracy throughout the war-torn land of Filgaia. The 78 year war between the Congressional Knights and the Global Union only ended in the complete anarchy of the world. With many people being complacent about this, Brionac, an elite organization of the Congressional Knights, seems to be the only spear of hope in this wasteland. As a commander, Kresnik follows his duties without question, believing that what he’s doing will better the world in the future.
He is also a Gene Driver, a person that is able to wield ARMs. However, the soldier only got that power through extreme experimentation. Since he lost his parents, Kresnik and his sister, Yulie, were transferred to the White Orphanage, which is actually a facility where the Congressional Knights used children as experiments to make future Gene Drivers. Most of the kids mutated or died, but Kresnik and his sister were able to survive. Even though he did survive, Kresnik was still considered a failure (since he couldn’t properly form an ARM) and was named WG919F. His sister was a moderate success and became known as WG920B+. After some time though, Kresnik saw that nothing was being accomplished in this orphanage, so he willingly left with the soldiers when they came to pick up a test subject. Before he left, he promised Yulie that he’ll make the world better and protect her in the future.
After going through some training as a Brionac officer, he was eventually named “Pale Rider” and the lance that enforces Lambda’s ideals all by the age of 24. Despite being a defective gene driver, the Brionac officer, Augst, was able to make a drug called LiNKER for him. This drug allowed Kresnik to form one specific ARM, named Howling Spike or XERD_001HS. With his ARM, he fought for his conviction over time...until the order to capture his sister was given by his captain.

Early history unknown
AntiCosmo has existed as long as Cosmo has and seems to be the commander of the AntiFairies probably due to his intelligence and ability to lead. The Antifairies were locked away but one Friday the 13th Timmy Turner became annoyed with the bad luck he was facing and decides to free the AntiFairies so he can talk to them. He let’s them out and they get to Earth but Timmy manages to trick them back using their attraction to bad luck(and a ability to smell it) against them.
After that the AntiFairies were locked away in another prison and AntiCosmo was put in a higher security area, since he seemed to be more dangerous than the others. Cosmo’s Fagiggly gland (an organ in Fairies and AntiFairies allowing them to change shape) was failing and he needed a transplant. Since Cosmo is an only child AntiCosmo was the only one who could supply a donor. but Jorgen wouldn’t free AntiCosmo for the operation so Timmy decided to bust AntiCosmo out. First Timmy tries a drill, which fails because Fairy World is in a cloud like setting. Next he tried hosting a prison track meet. But that didn’t work. Finally they airlifted AntiCosmo out of the prison. But Cosmo involuntarily changed shape and they fell.
Finally AntiCosmo sent them his own escape plan. Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda pretended to be laundrymen and AntiCosmo hid under the hubcap on one of the tires predicting that Jorgen would assume he was hiding in the laundry the more obvious place. It worked until AntiWanda blew his secret. The prison went into lockdown and they only escaped because Cosmo was able to turn into a key and remain one long enough to unlock the prison doors. They rushed to meet with Dr. Rip Studwell, who performed the operation. Later AntiCosmo escaped again and warned Cosmo not to look for him; unfortunately he was right behind Cosmo. Before he leaves AntiCosmo says something sounding like Cosmo, making Wanda and Timmy wonder if more than their fagiggly glands got switched.
AntiCosmo managed to escape one Friday the 13th and got caught by Jorgen. He managed to use Jorgen’s bad luck to escape but as punishment Jorgen removed the AntiFairys’ ability to be invisible on Earth. He made a comment about universes which got AntiCosmo thinking maybe there are other universes. Later he goes to Earth and meets Professor Calamitous and makes a deal: if the professor frees the AntiFairys AntiCosmo says he will do something for the professor. The man frees the AntiFairies but when he returns to get his end of the bargain AntiCosmo double crosses him and locks him up with Jorgen. The Doctor accuses him of lying and AntiCosmo replies, “Yes, I do that from time to time, it’s almost like I’m evil. Ta!” then leaves.
After that AntiCosmo begins his master plan. He gets half of the antifairies to go about and cause bad luck then the other half will circle the Earth a hypersonic speeds keeping the Earth still insuring that Saturday the 14th never comes. But Timmy and his friends cause enough bad luck to distract the antifairies and then after launching the biggest bad luck trap of all Timmy and Jimmy manage to trap AntiCosmo and the AntiFairies in an infinite space storage cube.
Somehow AntiCosmo and his followers get out of the cube (it is never told exactly how). Because of a wish Timmy makes Cosmo has a Fairy baby and the AntiFairies find out when Jorgen Wanda and Timmy burst in accusing them of kidnapping Cosmo to get to the baby and its uncontrolled fairy powers. Cosmo has the baby and AntiCosmo and Head Pixie and Sanderson immediately try to kidnap the child on their own and both attempts fail they start a chase and after a while Timmy offers to go home with Poof because no one would expect it. They reluctantly agree and Timmy keeps tabs on Poof for a while until ‘Jorgen’ appears and demands the baby. Timmy hands the baby to him after a bit of uncertainty (and a lightning bolt striking him because of Poofs power(when he burps lightning strikes) Then Jorgen turns out to be HP and AntiCosmo working together. They leave with Poof and begin their plan. Timmy meets up with Jorgen Wanda and Cosmo and makes a plan to get poof back. They sneak in but get caught by HP and Sanderson.

Character: Kenpachi Zaraki
Fandom: Bleach
Character Notes:
History:
➝ Kenpachi comes from District #80 (the worst district in Rukongai) where all the criminals are kept and where the law is not upheld.
➝ He has no name at the time and is working up his swordsmanship, Kenpachi ends up killing a lot of people
➝ Out of nowhere, Kenpachi meets his not!daughter Yachiru who he pretty much adopts because her parents have died, she comes from the second worst district and she isn’t afraid of his blade and of him. They form a close, familial bond.
➝ He makes up the name ‘Kenpachi’ so that the bitches he cut would remember him.
➝ He then meets Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa, by fighting the former and wining. Kenpachi earns their respect and their loyalty as he shares his possibility on the linkage between fighting and survival and battle obligations.
➝ YEARS LATERRRRR. By beating the crap out of the original 11th Division Captain, Kenpachi replaces him and earns a Captain’s rank of the prestigious Gotei 13 Squad.
➝ Yachiru, Ikkaku and Yumichika become his highly-regarded officers after becoming shinigamis: lieutenant, third-seat and fifth seat respectively.
Personality:
Kenpachi is a mixed bag when it comes to his personality. There are layers upon layers of different aspects that make him a complex, confusing and even contradictory character. This Captain is quite often depicted as a bloodthirsty character, through his physical characterisation and even through comic relief. Having been brought up from the 80th district, and the fact that his survival was merely dependent on the bloodshed of others; he learned to take some kind of sick joy from it all. His love for fighting and battle escalate as he rises up the ranks of the Soul Society’s shinagami. As he ranks higher and higher as a fighter, the fact that he has is considered one with Captain level abilities gives evidence to his violent prowess. Out of all the Captains, Kenpachi is seen as the least ethical of them all as he sees death and injuries as an inevitable price to pay out of his love of fighting. To him fighting is fun and it isn’t just work. It’s especially even more fun when his opponents are of equal level abilities to him. However, not many are and so Kenpachi will usually downplay his power just to lengthen the potential of a fight; making his interest seem far more sadistic.
But as a fight may linger on, Kenpachi does have a sense of loyalty with his lust for battle and he does hold responsibilities as a shinigami Captain. Kenpachi’s depiction of being a battle machine is derived from his brute nature and appearance—but he will not initiate a fight to anyone that seems weak even if they’re more than willing. Kepachi does not prey on the weak and finds that sort of behaviour pointless. He wants his opponent to be stronger or just as strong compared to him. He knows he wields an unnaturally large amount of power and understands that this is his trump card over his opponents. That’s why he chooses to wear an eyepatch power seal that feed off his reiatsu and bells on his hair so that his opponents can hear him. Kenpachi also doesn’t continue a fight if his opponent cannot go on because there’s no point in him prolonging it either or murdering them to end the battle. He will let his opponent come back to fight him when they’ve become even stronger, for their initial battle was able to last such a long period of time. However for those that force him to reach his limits or are evidently stronger in a battle then Kenpachi will be able to release his full power. If said opponent manages to survive then he will see his opponent as an equal and hold great respect for them. He will also probably demand a rematch every chance they meet.
...That poor robot. It didn’t need to be created, to destroy itself like that, just so he could get away.
And to make matters worse, he tried that tactic again. Apologizing and asking for forgiveness, again. Like always. It’s always the same thing over and over again. I hope that my little montage would make him understand that I’m not going to listen to them.
Bass’s blue prints were on a monitor. I hope Wily isn’t going to do anything that extreme to him.
The scientists at Light Labs said they could repair all the Robot Masters! They, may of even found a loophole in the expiration date law. This is great, that means me and Tornado can mess around again, and everyone can do all the things they enjoy! Hopefully this will prove to everyone that even if we do finish what we are built to do, that even we robots, still have useful things we can do. Hehehe, even though he didn't mean for it to happen, something great may come out of his plot, this time.

LJ hiccuped, on me and posted this as a comment instead of a reply.
I think I got overlooked in the last round of decisions: http://community.livejournal.com/ddd_news/8863.html?thread=856223#t856223

Character: Midna
Fandom: Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
Character Notes:
History: Midna is a member of the Twili and ives in the Twilight Realm with the rest of her brethren. She has two forms, one of an imp, the other of a beautiful woman. She is unable to stand daylight and cannot return to Hyrule after breaking the only link between it and the Twilight Realm.
Personality: Midna is a sardonic little devil and her outward appearence in her impish form reflects this. She has a sarcastic and somewhat dark humor with a cynical demeanour, however this does not stop her from doing the right thing or feeling compassion towards others when it is needed. She has a somewhat childish childish nature in new worlds, especially in her imp like form, in her human form she holds herself with a certain mysterious grace.

First Person (entry type):
This world is a new and strange one. Who would have known there were more portals to new worlds within the Twilight? I certainly didn't, but after leaving Link in Hyrule I became rather restless and an outing was in order. So here I am... earth apparently. It wasn't difficult to get around especially when one can switch between a beautiful woman and a small creature. Apparently my exotic beauty has aided me greatly. One guy even asked if I was from Transylvania... god knows where that is. I'm not really sure what I'll find here or how much of anything works. It is certainly different from Hyrule with all these different contraptions, it was strange enough trying to find myself some form of accomodation. But I'm sure all will work out and if not I can simply return to the Twilight World. For now though I think I am going to have some fun with these humans they seem like a gullable lot. Maybe here on earth I will find the excitment I'm looking for. I have already found an interesting source of entertainment - the internet. Like another little realm created by humans - truly fascinating - and interesting way of communicating without having to move. There is probably more fun to have here than I suspected.
Third Person:
Midna smiled at the gentleman as he lead her inside the newly furnished apartment. She was still draped in the flowing black robes of the Twili and had already found that the somewhat revealing nature of her outfit was good for attracting attention and Midna was not one for passing up the opportunity to play with the minds of those around her especially if it pleased her own motives. This gentleman had been more than happy to show her around despite the strange request that it be done at night.
"You a vampire or something?" He had questioned with a raised eyebrow. Midna had laughed lightly, her voice held an ethereal echo to it. She stroked some of her fire bright hair back from her face.
"I am simply not partial to sunlight."
That answer seemed to satisfy and he had lead her inside the small - open plan one room apartment. It was all the space she needed, ready furnished with one of those computer contraptions humming away in the corner. She had first met one in a 'cafe' and had become enamoured with the little world they held within them. It was most certainly one of the things which needed to be investigated in this realm. The rest of the room was very human, and to her tastes despite the somewhat cramped living conditions. One could not really compare this world to the Twilight Realm. Perhaps to Hyrule though she has only seen a little of the land when journeying with Link. She wondered if the need for another adventure had been her motivation for first entering this realm and suspected that it was. Despite the calm nature of her surreal people Midna had been given a taste for the world beyond and now there was always some part of her itching to be off - being trapped in her impish form for so long had perhaps rubbed off on her.

We're sorry, but this application has been rejected. We didn't get much of a sense of your understanding of her character from your application; if you choose to apply again, we'd suggest a more detailed character notes section. In addition, we didn't get a consistent sense of voice from your character samples.

Character: Pavel Chekov
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Character Notes:
History: Pavel Andreievich Chekov was born in 2241 in Saint Petersburg, Russia to a Russian father Andrei Dimitrievich Chekov and a Russian mother, Larisa Irinova Chekov. The two of them noticed their son's natural aptitude for math and learning in general early on while they lived on Luna (the Moon), enrolling him in school as soon as he could talk. Later on, this age gap caused some tension between his schoolmates and himself as he moved through grade levels faster than others his age would. The family was close, since Pavel was the only child of his parents and they indeed had no hope to ever have another, sadly, when he was nine years old Larisa died in a shuttle accident. Pavel distanced himself from his father after this incident, feeling responsible for her death and worried that his father would blame him for it.
When Pavel was thirteen, a recruiter from Starfleet Academy came to Russia with the hopes of him going. Andrei, always a supporter of Pavel living his life to his full potential encouraged him to go and so Pavel did. Completing his training in the normal four years, Pavel gained the rank of ensign and was assigned to the U.S.S. Enterprise as their navigator due to his skills in that particular field. On the Enterprise, he managed to save Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu and Cadet James Kirk from death by falling by transporting them back onto the Enterprise; a technique he tried to use to help save Spock's mother but failed. He also devised a way for the Enterprise to sneak up on the Narada undetected by coming out of warp in among Saturn's rings. Upon James Kirk's promotion to captain, Pavel retained his position and is now on the five year mission to boldly go and what not.
Personality: Pavel is quite mature for a seventeen year old male, a trait that came from being forced to grow up as fast as he did. There are times when he does act every bit his age, like when he excitedly screams "Yo mayo!" after saving Sulu and Kirk, but for the most part, he is easily embarrassed due in part to the fact that though he is a Starfleet officer, he is also a gangly teenager. Around his friends and in his personal logs, however, he is talkative and a great deal of fun to be around. When it comes to following orders, he will obey them, albeit sometimes begrudgingly, because really someone else can say vessels and every other v word so he doesn't have people make fun of him for his mispronunciation.
Other: Pavel's background is taken from TOS sources, with only the age being the difference, since the TOS Pavel was born in 2245, which would make him 13, not exactly the best age to be an ensign and navigating a starship. Also, depending on the number of "w"'s in my posts, I might write out the accent.

Character: Samuel Vimes
Fandom: Terry Pratchett's Discworld series
Character Notes:
History:
Sam Vimes comes from a long line of Watchmen. His distant ancestor, Suffer Not Injustice Vimes (also known as “Old Stoneface”) was the Commander of the Watch at the time of the last king of Ankh-Morpork, Lorenzo the Kind (who was rather the opposite of kind). In fact, Suffer Not Injustice was directly responsible for the Lorenzo being the last king, it was Suffer Not Injustice who executed Lorenzo. Suffer Not Injustice was later killed himself, when he and his Ironheads were ousted from their brief reign of the city. The city has since been governed by Patricians.
The Vimes line does not like kings.
More recently, Sam Vimes' father, Thomas, was also a Watchman. He died when Vimes was quite young, and as a result Vimes was largely raised by his mother, with some aid from grandparents.
Vime was born and raised on Cockbill Street, an area at the edge of the Shades where people rely on Standards instead of crime, and largely live off their own pride as a result. Vimes attended the local dame school, where he spent one full term as blackboard monitor thanks to his mother's bribery of the teacher. Vimes was not an exceptional student, but he learned better than many. As is common in the Shades, Vimes was part of a gang in his childhood, the Cockbill Street Roaring Lads. This broadened his education to include street fighting.
Vimes joined the Watch as soon as he was able, at the age of 16. As someone of a lower class, he was placed on the Night Watch (generally regarded as useless, as opposed to the Day Watch, the more official guard). Vimes learned quickly, and became accepted as a valuable member of the group. But what made him into a good cop, rather than just another of the corrupt and lazy ones who were common on the Night Watch, was the instruction of one Sergeant John Keel. Keel taught Vimes to be honest, to defend people, to patrol and fight properly, and most of all to do the job that's in front of you. Unfortunately, Vimes had joined the Watch at a tumultuous time, as the reign of Homicidal Lord Winder was being forcibly brought to a close. The efforts against the Patrician included some politicking among the elite which truly brought about the regime of Lord Snapcase (later to be dubbed “Mad”), and an uprising by the people later called the Revolution of the Glorious 25th of May, and resulted in the extremely short-lived People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road. A number of people were killed in the uprising, including John Keel.
During Snapcase's reign, the Night Watch was further diminished, and made more useless. Vimes tried to uphold the law. His efforts were enough to warrant his promotion to Captain. But they weren't enough to have any noticeable impact on reality, other than earning him some enemies who made it more difficult for the Watch to have any effect. And when Lord Vetinari became Patrician and allowed for guilds such as the Thieves, thereby making a good deal of crime legal, Vimes' spirit was broken. At that point, all the Watch essentially did was walk the streets shouting that all was well. If they had the bad luck to run into criminals who were still conscious, they ran away. Vimes dealt with the world by putting alcohol between him and it, and became an alcoholic. By the time Carrot Ironfoundersson came to the city, the Watch had been reduced to the alcoholic Vimes, the oblivious Sergeant Colon, and the petty criminal Corporal Nobbs.

Character Notes:
History: Dug is a talking golden retriever. His master is none other than Charles Muntz, the world-famous explorer responsible for unveiling Paradise Falls in South America and bringing back a rare specimen from the lost land - a skeleton of a giant bird with stubby wings that was quickly deemed fake. Muntz since stayed in South America to bring back a live specimen of the same bird’s skeleton he showed the rest of the world and to aid him he enlists the help of a large pack of dogs. He develops a collar that translates the thoughts of these dogs, allowing them to ‘talk’. Dug is fitted with the same collar, and finds himself being sent on a special mission to track down the elusive bird.
On his travels he comes across an old man named Carl Fredricksen and a young “Wilderness Explorer” named Russell. He quickly announces that he has just met Carl and he loves him and it doesn’t take long for him to bond with the old man and see him as a new master. He also discovers that the bird he was looking for is travelling with them and asks them if he can take it prisoner. They eventually meet Muntz and it’s then that his plan to capture the bird (named Kevin by Russell) is realised. Although Muntz is technically Dug’s master and he takes orders from Alpha, the leader of his pack, Dug finds himself becoming loyal to Carl and Russell’s cause to help Kevin return to her babies and turns against them, even taking Alpha’s title by the end of their adventure and therefore becoming the new leader of his pack.
Dug eventually settles down with Carl as his new master. In the future he is seen to have met a female of his breed and raised a family.
Personality: Dug is a lovable dog and very loyal and although he is bestowed with great technology, allowing him to speak, he is essentially a very typical dog. As the collar only translates his thoughts, his speech is simple and prone to long running sentences as his canine mind processes whatever information it’s receiving right now. He’s easily distracted by the world around him, especially by squirrels and likely any other small furry mammal that moves. And he’s playful – seeing anything resembling a ball or presumably any other dog toy or object that is stimulating to a dog will send him into an excited frenzy. He is very kind-hearted and eager to please whoever he dubs his master. He fears being punished, especially with what the dogs dub the Cone of Shame – the humiliating white collar usually used on injured dogs.
Dug isn’t the brightest dog in the world either and tends to be very simple-minded. He often loses track of what he was just saying and repeats himself. He is shown to have a sense of adventure too though, much like the other characters in canon, and can stand up and be brave if he must. It is obvious that he doesn’t particularly like conflict though and he becomes timid and intimidated when confronted by those who are cruel or more powerful than him. Sometimes what intelligence he has shines through in these tight situations.
Essentially Dug gives the perfect example of a dog’s unconditional love for a human. He often surprises people with his speech as even when he speaks his collar does the talking, not him. He maintains the usual expressions of real life dogs.
Other: Dug’s collar is shown to be able to translate into other languages if adjusted accordingly. However, English seems to be his preferred setting.
