Character: Cinderella Fandom: Fables Character Notes: History: Everyone knows the classic story of Cinderella. Girl works as servant for her wicked step mother and step sisters. Step mother and sisters go to ball, forcing girl to stay at home with only mice as company. Fairy godmother comes to girl, magic up a ball gown, glass slippers, and carriage and coachmen from a pumpkin and mice. Girl goes to ball, meets Prince Charming, has to leave a midnight, loses a slipper, carriage turns back to pumpkin. Prince finds slipper, uses it to find girl, they marry and live happily ever after. Well all that is true, up until the "Happily ever after" part. As it turns out, Cinderella was Prince Charming's third wife (the first being Snow White, and the second Briar Rose). He still couldn't keep it in his pants and Cindy ended up catching him with one of the servant wenches. By this time, the Adversary was starting to take over the Homelands, so Charming and Cindy escaped to one of the last fortresses for fables who wanted to leave the Homelands. Cindy agreed not to divorce him until they got to the Mundane world, thus insuring that he doesn't have to stay behind and fight. Once in the mundane world, and divorced from the not so charming Prince Charming, she was recruited by Bigby (the Big Bad Wolf) to act as an off the records spy for Fabletown. For the next 200 plus years she spent her traveling the world, protecting Fabletown's interests, such as going after Southern spies during the Civil War, going behind enemy lines and facing Nazis during World War II, finding fellow fables who turn traitor and taking care of them, and interrogating captured wooden soldiers after the Battle of Fabletown. When Bigby stepped down as sheriff, she started taking orders from Beast, and her duties expanded to being a diplomat to the Cloud Kingdom to help make preperations to bring down the Adversary in the Homelands. As a front, she owns a shoe store called the Glass Slipper Shoes.
