Whooooa, fifth post! This time, it has to do with worldhopping.

As some of you may know, some characters can create objects that aid other characters who can't worldhop, to worldhop. This is entirely fine, but the mods have requested that you run it by a moderator before you do so. We just want to make sure the object makes sense and that there has been thought put into it, so people don't abuse the ability without meaning to. There hasn't been any instances of it yet, so don't worry!

EDIT: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RUN WORLDHOPPING BY US~ The way you rationalize your character worldhopping is fine. If they use an item that is in their own world, that's fine too!

The issue is your character (if they can) making (or just having) a PHYSICAL ITEM that they can give to a character OUTSIDE THEIR CANON. We want you to run that physical item through us before your character gives it away to someone else (IE: Remember when Genie gave out items to some characters who couldn't worldhop, to let them be able to?) so that it makes sense.

I had a slight feeling this was going to be coming sometime soon! I figured I might as well "plead my case" as it were, so as to. I don't know. I wouldn't say it's to tell people what not to do, because I wasn't aware that I was breaking rules but ANYWAY:

Apollo gave Maes Hughes the ability to worldhop because he argued his case fairly well (he was unable to move through his world the normal way: by train, car, etc. because he is canonically dead) and he empathized with his desire to be able to contact with the Elrics because of his own connection with them.

Furthermore, he got something out of it (a good, old-fashioned burnt sacrifice! \o/) and also was very firm about Hughes not abusing the ability, because should he do so, Apollo will remove it. The world hopping item in question is a pocket watch, which I thought was fitting for the FMA canon and the importance of the watches alchemists are given. It's a sort of "alchemy", in a way, and that watch is what he has to show for it.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I did not just have Apollo give Hughes the power of worldhopping without actually putting thought into it. I didn't realize that I was supposed to bring the topic up with a mod beforehand, I figured it would be alright. So, uh. Yeah, sorry about that.

And, for the record, Apollo is not about to give out the ability to just anybody, especially right now, with his power being so limited as is. I have been playing with the idea that he will give Hyacinthus the power to worldhop once he gains his immortality, but I'll bring that up when the time comes.

.... So, yeah.... The Genie gave Kaye a buzzer to worldhop with, and she really just uses it for now until she can figure out how to worldhop on her own. Is that ok?

I feel I should mention that Suzy sort of has access to a number of canonical means of worldhopping, most notably transfer plates. But she'll get in much more serious shit that she's willing to risk if she hands any out, and using them herself is pretty risky.

~Hee, I bet you've had an eye on Mewtwo, then, for all of his ranting about worldhopping.
Uh, at some point or another I'd like for it to become possible for Mewtwo to worldhop. I don't know if you know how the six-Pokemon limit comes into effect in the series (I think it only was really shown in one episode), but the Pokeball essentially teleports to Bill. Also, Pokemon can be instantly transported between PCs.

I had the idea of somehow connecting that with the community and having someone else build a device that could receive and send the Pokemon based on Mewtwo's specifications.

Mewtwo will probably never actually worldhop, though, because there will be no way to get around having to be in a Pokeball to be transferred. ;) I'm kinda a massive dick to every character I play, ever.

You might want to add a note to the rules (if there isn't one! I might have missed it) saying that you have to run worldhopping by the mods. I was actually thinking of asking about it the other day, because of the little note on the bottom of ...uh, whomever Apollo gave the ability to worldhop's post.

Out of curiosity, do we have to tell you guys if our character has a canonical way of worldhopping? (IE, in canon Yuan uses his Rheairds to travel between Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, so it makes sense that it could be applied to other worlds besides those two.)
