Personality: Clare is, well, Clare. In her world, soldiers of the Organization particularly are emotionally closed off, aloof, and very stoic. Clare certainly carries that air to her. She is, after all, on the outside, cold and distant, showing very limited emotion, and regularly keeps many at arms length. But there is certainly more to Clare than that, beyond her stoic nature. The result of her disposition is trauma endured from a very young age and the death of Teresa, whom, by the way, she felt she wasn't strong enough to move on.
Clare's life revolves around her goals. Her goals are simple, starting from the top: Kill Priscilla, no matter what. Beneath it, or arguably, equal to it, are protecting those she cares for. She seems to do anything for either, making her very impulsive and reckless at times. Sometimes Clare isn't prone to thinking, but her intentions are pure. Although when push comes to shove, Clare isn't afraid to be underhanded or question things, for the greater good. And Clare is definitely on the spiteful side, when it comes to this.
Though Clare's trade mark characteristic to her personality is her determination, that can honestly be bluntly put as stubbornness. This has existed since she was a little girl, following Teresa all over, no matter what happened to her. Her will power is tremendous and something to be admired; Clare will never give up on something, even if she knows she has to. When it comes to rank, power, age, and skills, Clare doesn't seem to care. Especially when she should be intimidated, Clare cannot feel the same. As long as one can find a use, that seems a-okay to Clare. She is also very fiercely independent, that can really tire the nerves of anyone who knows her.
While Clare would rather have her distance from people, that is not the case. If she sees apart of herself in someone else, if they have the same pain she knows, Clare can find a deep connection and understanding for them. Despite her nature, Clare can be compassionate for others. She sees no one above her or underneath her, she treats them just the same. But Clare is very loyal, willing to do almost anything for anyone, if she cares that much. And while she rather not be close to someone and not feel the way she does, Clare can't change that. For you see, Clare is just as human as anyone else.
