First Person (entry type):
I went to the family house today for dinner, which is always a tiring affair and of course Grandmother was laying into me, how I should quit basketball and focus on my studies so I can be a decent match to expand her empire. But never mind that. Sachiko did the most adorable thing at dinner!

She's learning how to use a spoon and halfway through the meal, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, her dinner hits my Grandmother in the face! Now I'm usually pretty good at these things but I couldn't help it, I burst out laughing despite myself and Sachiko gave me the biggest brightest smile ever. She's the best little sister, really. My mom had to scold her and my dad smacked me in the back of the head, and of course Grandmother's pissed at me, but man it was the greatest fun I've had there in awhile. Dinner is always so sombre and boring and the food's too small and geeze. I always feel like running out to Aiya's afterwards, but of course Kou-sama's not really supposed to run. Sometimes I don't know what to think. I love hanging out with Daisuke - and Souji when he was here. I wish playing basketball was more simple, I love doing it, that should be enough right?

Anyway, I've got a getup to get out of and homework to finish. If it's not too late after I change, I might go for a run.

Third Person:

Kou had his eyes closed, and his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. He opened them and stared at his teammates. "Come on, all we've done is take a few free-throw shots!"

The grumbling was giving him a migraine. "Oh fine, just go home!" Kou turned his back on those lazy good for nothings and he grabbed a basketball, bouncing it idly before doing drills by himself. His teammates were always like this, and it bothered him but if he took in a deep breath and concentrated, he could shake them off. He had bigger goals, and he was serious about basketball.

"Kou's coming down the centre! He fakes to the left, he fakes to the right, three steps and he dunks the ball! The crowd goes wild! Kou's the winner!" Kou cheered and held up his arms in victory.

Daisuke was laughing in the doorway and Kou turned to him, giving him a glare with a hint of amusement. "Oh shut up!" Kou threw a ball at Daisuke.

Daisuke caught it in his hands and bounced it a few times. "Well if Kou-chan's so great, then I'd better surrender now!"

"That's right, you'd better." Kou said with a laugh and smiled, tilting his head. "Drop the Kou-chan crap. I hate it when the girls do it. Here-" He held out his hands and caught the ball. He grabbed a cloth, polished it and set it back on the rack. "Let's grab a snack at Aiya's! I'm starved."

Daisuke pat Kou on the shoulder as they headed out of the gym together.
