Character: Shanoa Fandom: Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Character Notes: History: Shanoa is one of the female warriors of the Order of Ecclesia, a group that is said to be dedicated to finding a way to destroy Dracula for good. She was raised in the Order by Barlowe, along with her adopted brother, Albus. It is unknown whatever happened to her biological parents. What little is known of her childhood seems fairly normal, since she would play tag with Albus and then cry when she wasn't able to catch him. As she got older, she started training in to become a warrior. As it turns out she had a unique ability to channel power through the glyphs on her back and shoulders. Because of this, she was chosen to become the vessel for Dominus, the ultimate Glyph that was designed to destroy Dracula. As she was about to absorb Dominus, Albus interrupted the ceremony and took the Glyph, saying he was supposed to be the one to have Dominus. Apparently, because of the disruption, Shanoa, lost her emotions and memories and thus had to go through a crash course on her training. A few weeks go by and Shanoa goes out to get Albus and to retrieve Dominus, still with no memories but has regained some knowledge on how to use her glyphs. As she travels the country side, she discovered that Albus had imprisoned several villagers, and thus she frees them by using her glyphs. During her travel though the country side, she runs into Albus twice. Each time he gave her a piece of Dominus. When she reports back to Barlowe about this, it is discovered that Dominus is really formed from Dracula's power. But Barlowe assures Shanoa that Dominus is the only way to defeat Dracula so she continues to search for Albus and the final piece. Once she finds Albus again, he absorbs the glyph which surprises Shanoa since he was unable to absorb glyphs before. Once Albus absorbs the final piece of Dominus, he becomes possess by Dracula's power and attacks Shanoa. She ends up killing him and absorbs the final piece of Dominus. Once she did that, some of Albus's memories came to her, and she was able to communicate with his soul through Dominus. She found out the truth about the glyph. If someone uses Dominus it ends up killing them. Albus, knowing this the whole time, wanted to be the vessel for Dominus so that Shanoa would not have to sacrifice herself. But he was sent on a fool's errand by Barlowe so that the ceremony would take place without him around. So he ended up interrupting the ceremony to steal Dominus and thus save Shanoa. As it turned out, Shanoa losing her memories and her emotions were the results of partially absorbing Dominus at the beginning of the ceremony, and not Albus interrupting. Once she learned all of this, Albus mad her promise never to use Dominus. Knowing the truth now, Shanoa goes back to the order to confront her master, Barlowe. As it turned out, Barlowe did not want to destroy Dracula, but to bring him back to the world and destroy mankind, and using Dominus was the to do just that. Shanoa, not wanting to die yet because she still has a lot of questions to be answered, fights her former master and defeats him. But Barlowe still manages to break the seal without Dominus, and thus Dracula's Castle rises.
