*SPOILERS FOR THE BOOKS IN HERE--- WHICH I KNOW NONE OF YOU READ.
► Born to Captain Teague, former pirate Lord and current Keeper of the Code, and... some unnamed woman who becomes a shrunken head at some point. Spends his childhood with some crazy pirates at Shipwreck Cove and Teague who he speculates may-or-may not be his actual dad for a bit. Teague is also an awesome dad that's always around and makes sure Jack doesn't get sold into slavery. Jack aims to be a captain like him. Also his "grandmama" is mentioned to have inflicted pain on little Jack and almost killed him on several occasions. Teague simply remarks it's "her way of showing affection" ► Ran away as a teenager and thinks he's justified for it. He gets his things stolen in Tortuga then goes to get his things and ends up tracking down a sword. He gets a crew, gets his hat, gets a ship named Barnacle, and outwits a guy who can control the weather. ► He makes a poor deal with Sirens, finds that sword he was looking for, fights a spirit, frees a spirit, and meets Tia Dalma who he gives that lovely sword to. ►Goes to Yucatan, gets blamed for robbery of an amulet and finds the culprit, loses some teeth and gets some bronze ones, and gets a new crewmate. Jack's Crew fights some other crews, he steals Silverback's gem, then fights a giant 3-headed serpent (I kid you not). His crew minus a guy named Fitzwilliam go back to their homes. He meets Davy Jones who wants a watch that stops time that that Fitzwilliam just happens to have. ►Gets captured by island natives after escaping Davy, end up messing up time with that watch, and prehistoric creatures wandered the island. They ride a pterodactyl, tiptoe underwater with a boat on their heads, get captured by Davy again, escape via Tia Dalma, have an epic swordfight, fix time, and then Fitzwilliam turns out to be a traitor for the Royal Navy and wants to kill Teague. ►Jack and Teague get captured and taken to Admiral Lawerence Norrington's ship, they get freed by Gibbs, an epic fight with Jack and Fitzwilliam happens, Jack beats Fitzwilliam, Fitzwilliam listens to Teague because Teague has a magic ring that makes people do whatever you want, more fighting happens with the Navy, little baby Norrington falls off board and Teague saves him, and Teague gives Jack that ring. ► Jack gets a tiny boat for only two people, befriends an amnesiac named 'Bill' on a deserted island, gets captured by natives again, finds a chariot that goes underwater, travels in underwater tunnels, finds his old crew and a girl in it kisses Bill which is so not cool. Mermaids come tell Jack to take Poseiden's trident, the guy that has the trident gets his ass kicked by Jack, the mermaids get them out of the tunnels and Jack leaves the crew. ► He's not a teenager anymore! And then he goes back to Shipwreck Cove and is known by all the Pirate Lords, and Teague isn't ready to call him son but still takes Jack on some adventures as a member of his own crew. Rouge pirates are attacking so the lords have a meeting about it. Jack befriends the Lord of the Caribbean's granddaughter, and he meets Hector Barbossa. Jack helps a friend escape because he's blamed as one of the rouges, he breaks the code, and gets told to leave. ► He works for the East India Trading Company and is first mate on a ship. The captain dies, Jack takes command and saves everybody from the granddaughter he befriended before -- who is now the Lord of the Caribbean. He's offered a job as the captain of a slave ship and turns it down because omgslavesarebadwtfiswrongwithyouBeckett?? so Jack gets command of the merchant ship Wicked Wench.
