Character: Solf J. Kimblee

Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist (First Anime)

Character Notes:

History: Kimblee was a State Alchemist involved in the Eastern Rebellion who made bombs of enemies and allies alike by rearranging their chemical construction with the arrays on his hands. He was capable of making timed or instant explosions and focusing the destruction limb by limb. At the end of the war he was supposed to be put to death. Instead he was kept in solitary holding in the secret 5th Laboratory in Central to be sacrificed into a Philosopher's Stone. When surrounded by the incomplete stone meant to amplify the array to create the stone and placed with the other sacrifices, he made use of another prisoner and the red water to escape. As the 5th Laboratory was invaded by the military and destroyed, he met Greed and the escaping chimeras and made his way out with them. He served under Greed at the Devil's Nest but was not popular amongst the ex-military chimeras due to being a known bloodthirsty traitor. None the less he went on several of Greed's missions with the rest of the Devil's Nest members. During one outing to York Island, he heard Envy mention Greed's bones and sealing him away with them. Kimblee now knew the weakness, but he never took initiative against Greed until another mission at the Southern Headquarters where he was propositioned by Lt. Colonel Frank Archer to join the military again. Before defecting, he let fellow former State Alchemist and Devil's Nest member Shou Tucker in on matters and recruited him to work under Archer as well. Using his alchemy, he opened the safe Greed kept his skull in and let Archer make use of them on the raid on the Devil's Nest. As the newly promoted Colonel Archer worked in Information, he was able to forge that Kimblee had been framed for his war crimes and stated that he was helping unravel the mysteries of Lab 5 while promoting Kimblee to Lt. Colonel. Kimblee was still well remembered though so he kept a mask on when required to move about in public and was confined to his room in the military dorms, to stay out of public sight. While arguing with a guard about his right to move about at least at night time, he was spotted by former Devil's Nest member Martel who sought revenge on him for betraying them. He convinced Al to call her off only to try to kill both of them himself. He failed, though never did report that Al was carrying her around inside of him and swore to make a bomb out of Al one day. He was ordered by the Fuhrer to create a disturbance in Reore in secret to start another rebellion so that the public could be told the refugees had attacked first. He raided the town with a horde of Tucker's chimeras and met with Scar whom he recognized as one of his targets from the war and whose namesake scar was his own sadistic handiwork. He engaged in a two on one fight against Scar and Alphonse. His sadistic tendancies were his end: he made Scar's left arm into a timed bomb, only for Scar to rip off his own arm before skewering Kimblee through the chest with his right. Not to be outdone in his final moments Kimblee reached out to Alphonse and transformed him into a time bomb as well, giddy at fulfilling his promise to make him into a bomb before dying.
