First Person:

I am not a fan of enclosed spaces.

I know, I know. I'm a thief, hiding in small spaces kinda goes with the job description- that doesn't mean I have to like doing it.

So, you can imagine just how miffed I was to wake up, after being conked over the head twice by a frying pan, crammed into a tiny closet. My head was pounding, my ears ringing, the air stale and stuffy, and I was pretty sure a couple of my fingers were broken.

All of my instincts were screaming at me to bust out, take my treasure, and go. But the sound of voices on the other side of the stopped me from doing so.

Also the fact that my exit appeared to be jammed shut.

Of course, my throbbing and dizzied mind was hardly paying any attention to the conversation happening on the other side. I was too busy trying to focus on something else;

Don't pass out. Don't pass out. Don't pass...

Third Person:

Life in the castle has been getting very repetative for one Eugene 'Flynn Rider' Fitzherbert.

Not that he was complaining. Really. He loved his new life with Rapunzel more than he could have ever loved living alone with countless piles of money to keep him company. For one thing, money wasn't warm, or kind, or quirky enough to mold sailboats out of mashed patatoes at dinner time.

Money was the old dream, life with his beloved Blondie the new.

He just wished it didn't feel so... safe. Cushioned.

Now, living the comfortable life had been his dream ever since he was a small boy growing up in the orphanage, Flynn just wished there was still that slight edge of adventure and danger he had craved so much thanks to the tales of Flynnigan Rider. He missed it when the guards used to curse at him and give chase when he'd deliver a snarky comment in their direction. Now they just bowed and shuffled away.

All because he was the princess' beau.

Flynn sighed broodily as he wandered through the castle halls, his hands shoved deep in his vest pockets. Rapunzel was off having some female bonding time with her mother over some tea, leaving the former rogue to his own devises for a few hours.

Maybe he could visit Maximus down in the stables for a bit. At least Max treated him as he always would, by delivering a swift kick to the gut whenever he got out of hand.

Painful as it was, it was still oddly comforting.
