Having not heard from her in a while, Terezi suspects Vriska's done something to her, if not outright killed her, and asks Sollux (once he's stable) to trace a certain message to its source. Having found the other end, she talks with the omniscient Doc Scratch, and proceeds to tell him that Vriska has one of his magic cue balls (think 8 ball in fortune telling). Then she tells Vriska that she's gonna get killed- and Doc Scratch freaks the fuck out at hearing that she has something of his and the ball proceeds to explode in Vriska's face, blowing off her arm and blinding her eightfold vision.

As a result of this incident, Vriska gets pissed and pulls a psychic double reacharound. That's to say- she manipulated Tavros first, and made him manipulate Terezi's Lusus (her parental guardian that never hatched) with his powers. Using the Lusus to call Terezi outside while she was sleeping, she made her stare into the Alternian sun while she was sleepwalking, and this in turn made her go blind. At the same time, she had awoken her dream self on Prospit and had stared right into the heart of Skaia, which blinded her there too.

That's another confusing thing- there's two kinds of lives lived in Homestuck: the real world and the dream world. Both have different realities and it gets amazingly confusing. So I'll spare you the details and only mention it where it's really necessary.

ANYWAY SO YES, TEREZI IS BLIND. And learning about this, her unhatched Lusus teaches her how to see the world without sight, through taste and smell. It's an entirely new experience for her, and it's actually better than how she saw things beforehand.

AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW IN CANON- Terezi and Karkat are running and doing whatever from a sober Gamzee on their little meteor, who is absolutely crazy and bonkers and killing people left and right. Going all HONK honk HONK honk. Eridan went and killed people before, then he got torn to pieces by a vampire Kanaya, and Ferferi died as well. The deathlist currently is Ferferi, Tavros, Eridan, Equius, RoboAradia, troll!Kanaya. Sollux, Karkat, Terezi, god!Aradia, god!Vriska, and possibly Gamzee are still alive and now coming forth to Ascend towards their god tier (aka godhood, or something similar to it).
