Quackerjack | Darkwing Duck | Not Reserved | Part 3; Complete
BORED!
I'm bored! Inspiration has left me! Oh, why must the muse be so fickle?! I just want to make a new toy! But I can't think of a single thing to make! Oh, this is so frustrating!
You know, I don't think the others always appreciate the creativity that goes into a day job! Most of them don't even have one, except Liquidator, but he's a businessman. That's not creative at all! It's the worst thing I can think of!
...What was I saying?
Oh, right! I need inspiration for a new toy! Someone, anyone, how do you find inspiration? Tell me? Pretty please with a cherry on top?
Third Person:
Quackerjack couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned in the bed that stood among the toys, both half-finished and completed, that filled his bedroom. Eventually, after getting himself quite tangled in his blankets, he managed to sit up. For a moment, the Duck considered taking out Mister Banana Brain for a bit of conversation, but he didn't feel like talking. He was just... On edge. More so than usual, even.
It was the accursed creative dry spell he was going through! Without making something new... He was left with pent up ideas; ideas he couldn't quite get to in the back of his mind. It was odd. Though he was rarely aware of it, Quackerjack had a lot he couldn't access back there. Namely, his entire life before being Quackerjack. But the fun stuff always came so easily.
Quackerjack was ready to throw another temper tantrum about it, but though his mind was keeping him up with its reeling, his body was exhausted. What to do to fall asleep?
"Oh! Of course!"
Quackerjack lay back down, snuggling up against his matress and pillow, and tried to get his brain to focus on fantasies of sweet revenge against the creators of Whiffle Boy and the overly-cautious parents who had put his company out of business.
