Character Notes:
History: Kyon has always had a normal life. He was just like any other boy, had a nice family, close friends, and the likes. He wasn't one without fascinations either. What comes with his fascinations though, came pessimism. Kyon was interested in the supernatural, may it be time travelers, espers, and even Santa Claus himself. Unlike any other boy though, he knew none of those existed. If he saw Santa kissing mommy, he probably figure it was his dad (for better or worse). When hitting middle school though, it deemed that he longed for a world that shouldn't exist due to laws of nature.
However, after Sasaki denied their existence to him, he long forgotten any longing he had for it. Entering high school, he had accepted how the world worked. Nothing spectacular will happen. There's no way anyone in the world could be any different than the students who attend North High. That is, until he met someone who would change his world for ever more.
This amazing person, is Haruhi Suzumiya--a "God" who can change the laws of the world on a whim. However, the catch is that she can never know that she can do that. So any world changing she does is completely unintentional. This leads to Kyon getting dragged around school each and every day by Haruhi, forming the club named the SOS Brigade, where he'll stay and deal with her mishaps, all the while keeping the world at balance, along with Mikuru, Koizumi, and Nagato. Time traveler, esper, and alien respectively.
Personality: Anti-social and unmotivated is usually the two words you could use to describe how Kyon is. And well, he is. He doesn't have much friends because of it, and at most he doesn't really mind. Less work for him. His mind is always running active, may it be to snark at someone sitting behind him (or anyone) or to take note slash comment to himself.
He's a very simple guy with a very simple way of living. He barely speaks his mind about things unless things are completely out of whack, and considering Haruhi is a walking example of "something-out-of-whack" he tends to speak up and tell you why you're stupid. Despite this, he honestly means really well. He has referred to himself as a nice guy once before, but if anyone ever harms or toys with his friends or he himself, he knows how much that changes. Deep down, he has a huge sense of justice, and hates senseless violence.
While it doesn't show on his school grades--although for this reason it's mainly because he has no motivation for studying or schoolwork--Kyon is highly perceptive, as if him always narrating to himself wasn't a hint enough, and smart when need be. He is liable to play small pranks or slide in a joke or two if you ever get comfortable with him, and he's a sly flirt at times. If you're any kind of cute, he will know. And you'll probably never even know it.
Other: He has a thing for ponytails and a folder full of Ms. Asahina.

What happened? How the hell does one person get up and leave the entire world? Well, I guess it's "her" we're talking about, she is the one the guys upstairs are interested in. Did they get uninterested and toss her away? Has the whole world gone mad? Or have I?
No, no no no...one doesn't just forget "her." But that's the case, isn't it? She...never existed. She's gone. Koizumi is too. Nagato's some shy bookworm now, and Ms. Asahina doesn't even recognize me...and for some reason, Asakura is here too...
...Just...have I really gone insane? Someone, anyone, throw me a bone here! What am I supposed to do, huh?! Am I just supposed to live in this world now? That's it? Splat, boom! Not even a moment's notice! You could at least tell me before you change my world! [Tons of scribbles and marks could be seen.]
...That'd be something, huh.

Third Person: Mentally performing a head count of people exercising their legs to walk up this long hill to North High, the morning couldn't be any more different from before. He scans the look of the students faces--groggy and tired. If anyone else were to analyze himself, it'd probably be the same. Everything was normal. Could you say he was bored? More like content. He was calm, and that was always a good thing. If nothing out of the ordinary happens, that means he can just walk to school with no problems, right? That's more than enough for him. If he could just have no problems every day--or maybe that goes for everyone--it'd be like a utopia!
If only life was that simple.
He oddly wonders how he and "that guy" ever became friends. Because, "that guy" had just showed his face. His really stupid looking face that no other guy could ever wish to be born with.
Taniguchi.
"'Sup, Kyon! Heeeeehehe!" Kyon nearly cringes at his laugh. For some reason, it really bothered him.
"What are you so chipper about this early." You could hear the enthusiasm in this, as he continues to walk without looking at him.
"Oh, man. I don't even know if I should tell you. Not everyone gets to hear such amazing news!"
"Then don't."
"I got a date!"
If Taniguchi was any sort of considerate, he would've seen the disgust Kyon had grown on his face. Maybe deep down, he figured the peacefulness of the morning wouldn't last for long. This is more than just a problem if Taniguchi suddenly lucked out. He doesn't want to ask, he doesn't want to know. Just keep moving and get the day over with.
"Who's the unlucky girl?"
...He might as well, after all. He remembered what'll happen once he even steps into the classroom anyway.
