Character: Death the Kid
Fandom: Soul Eater
Character Notes:
History: Not a whole lot is known about Kid's young life other than the fact that he decided to shirk off every proposal of marriage he ever got and work to make his own Weapons rather than relying on others to do it for him. He met Liz and Patti while he was wandering around Brooklyn and they tried to mug him, which he wasn't terribly impressed by. Later, he saw the girls getting beaten up by a group of thugs, and he decided to step in and save them which lead to them agreeing to be his Weapons.

Kid acts as a sort of freelance soul collector for a while, until he decides to enroll in Shibusen for the sole purpose of "saving" the other students from Stein. Unfortunately, his rescue mission fails because he gets caught up worrying about whether or not he remembered to fold the toilet paper into a triangle and never even makes it down the hall.

Because even a school dedicated to teaching children how to fight is still a school, Kid's status as Shiny, New Student warrants a bunch of people talking about him. Thanks to the fact that Black Star and Soul are... Black Star and Soul, they decide that no one can be more talked about than them and decide the New Student must die. Their plan backfires because Kid isn't an idiot and actually knows how to fight and didn't decide to just start switching Weapons for no reason at the last minute. Basically, Kid kicks their asses but manages to get in with the group as one of the cool kids so he's not purple and filling in the background like the rest of the losers at that school.

Black Star and Kid have a wacky adventure and try to go wield Excalibur and both decide it's definitely not worth it. A bunch more filler showing that Kid's liek totes bffs with everyone despite his symmetry psychosis happens, including seeing Blair in a towel and taking a test, and then OH RIGHT THIS SHOW ACTUALLY HAS A PLOT. SORRY BOUT THAT, WE FORGOT. XOXO~

Kid goes to investigate a ghost ship and finds the Flying Dutchman and Crona, who hasn't made her/his/its Heel Face Turn just yet, attacks Kid. Crona destroys the ship and runs off, Kid chases him/her/it on his flying skateboard but lets it/her/him get away because he gets distracted looking at how beautiful and symmetrical the sun is.

Medusa and Free show up and crash a fancy dinner party, which everyone thinks is ridiculously rude of them, because they want to fuck up the world. So, the kids (and Stein and Spirit) go down to the basement to kick Medusa and Free out because they didn't have an invitation and were dressed horribly inappropriately for the occasion. They find Medusa, and rather than letting the kids team up and take care of her, someone tosses an Idiot Ball at Stein and he decides that hanging out with his idk bff Medusa is obviously more suited to his tastes than going to stop Free from freeing the Kishin, so he leaves the hard part up to the kids. Needless to say, Black Star and Kid fail saving the universe forever. And then...

PLOT? WHAT PLOT? HERE HAVE SOME MORE FILLER. IT'S GOOD FOR YOU. Kid goes on a sidequest to find a magical vase made by some guy named Eibon. Only he learns thanks to the guy he was actually pursuing that his dad helped make the vase too, because ~*~Eibon and Shinigami are the same ooooooh~*~ Kid asks him what this means, but then Sid kills the guy before Kid can get an answer. So he does what anyone would do, he starts looking up stuff in the library. Unfortunately the only book they have on Eibon was already checked out by someone named "M". LOL GUESS WHO CHECKED IT OUT GUIZ. Only, spoiler alert, so not by who any of us were thinking.

Meanwhile, back at the Plot, the kids set sail for fail to go get this thing called Brew that Eibon also happened to make, only their responsible adults happened to get lost along the way. They decide to just go ahead anyway because, why the fuck not, and they finally find their supervision only to get a pat on the head and a "OH THE KIDS CAN TAKE CARE OF IT". And so they all sigh and get to work. They nearly kill the long-nosed weirdo who's carrying Brew around, but then they have to leave before they can do anything.

So they all head back home and have to get checked out in the infirmary, which is a bit harder than it sounds because Stein's crazy and Medusa's evil so there actually aren't any doctors in the house. Luckily for Kid, he's a Shinigami so his body can resist all the bad shit from the island Brew was on. SO WHY DIDN'T HE JUST STAY BEHIND AND FK;DAFJKD;AFK;AHHHHHHHHHH!

Fridge Logic aside, he and Black Star fight. Again. And Black Star gets his ass kicked. Again. Kid wonders for a bit if Black Star got a bit touched in the head thanks to being around so much crazy.

Then he and Maka go hang out and attack a Clown or something...? Only Kid couldn't because Liz is a bitch and takes advantage of Kid's OCPD. Classy.

Yeah, so this is when this canon goes from Fucked Up to WHAT THE HELL AM I WATCHING?! I swear this is when Okubo managed to find the good drugs. You thought this was fucked up before. Oh no no no, the best is yet to come my friends.

Personality: Kid has a major obsession with making things completely and utterly perfect. Perfection, according to his standards, means symmetry. He goes to extreme measures to make sure that everything in his life is completely symmetrical, to the point where even something like a picture being off a millimeter will cause him to have basically a panic attack. As a result, he hates his appearance because the three white stripes on his bangs only appear on one side. This all indicates that he has obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) which manifests itself as an extreme aversion to disorder and chaos and a need for things to be just so. He also perhaps suffers from a minor form of depression, considering every time he’s surrounded by something asymmetrical or reminded of his hair, he falls on the ground and rants about how he’s disgusting trash that doesn’t deserve to live or something along those lines. In more extreme cases, he coughs up blood and faints. His OCPD gets him into serious trouble occasionally, because he will absolutely refuse to attack an enemy who is perfectly symmetrical. Though the flip side is he will go into a berserker frenzy of an attack if he’s facing against an asymmetrical enemy.

Other than that, he actually acts mature for his (relative) age, keeping a cool head in tense situations and being very sophisticated and serious - assuming he manages to focus on something other than symmetry. On the flip side of that, he can also act very much like a – if you’ll excuse the pun – kid by enjoying doing tricks on his skateboard.

One of Kid’s more redeeming, and less embarrassing, character traits is his loyalty. He cares deeply about his friends and will do everything in his power to keep them from being hurt.
Other: Iiii’m not a hundred percent sure whether I’m taking him from the manga or the anime yet h-heheh. I’m leaving it up to my currently-nonexistent castmates for now, I guess.

First Person (Intro): Who designed this website? It's hideous! Those circles don't match up at all! Did you people even try to make it look decent? The main part of the text might be perfectly in the center, but it makes no difference if you can't get the background to line up! Clearly someone needs to step in and fix this place's layout so it's more symmetrical. ~~I might not know much about webdesign, but how hard could it honestly be?~~

To all the users here, I will see what I can do about the atrocious asymmetry in the layout. If someone could point me in the direction of the webmaster, I would be most appreciative.

...Though I should probably introduce myself first, shouldn't I? My name is Death the Kid, and it's very nice to meet you all.

Third Person: The wind swept through his hair as Beelzebub picked up speed. His hair was quickly becoming more asymmetrical thanks to the wind, and even though his reaction was to slow down and make sure his hair stayed perfectly in place, there was a small part of him that managed to not care about the state of his bangs. He liked this too much to give it up just because he couldn't stand the thought of his hair. Kid knew he just needed to distract himself somehow.

He smiled slightly as he caught sight of the sun. The sun was always symmetrical. He could focus on that and stop thinking about his- Kid stopped his train of thought and looked at the sun again. No need to think himself into a panic attack.

Kid really did love skateboarding. The summon had been a gift from his father several years ago. He probably could have taught himself to summon something else now that he was older and better at controlling his skills, but he'd gotten so used to his flying skateboard by now that Kid would almost consider using any mode of transportation other than Beelzebub a betrayal.

A piece of hair thwacked him in the nose. Kid liked his skateboard, but there had to be something he could do about all the wind.
