First Person (entry type):

It's not so simple as that. I'm not here to play the hero. ⎯I've got enough problems of my own. At some point, everyone learns to take care of themselves. No one's there to hold your hand. You can think whatever you want, but, in the end, you're always alone. Grow stronger, or you're left behind. But, carrying someone else's burden... It doesn't change a thing. Pain and suffering will always exist. ⎯It's useless to struggle against it. What good does it do to talk about feelings? ...None of it even matters. Either way, I'm not interested in your philanthropy. You should worry about yourself.

Third Person:

The game was Triple Triad. It all looked simple enough... Sounded–– Like a pain in the ass. He'd already built a pretty decent deck (you could find the stupid things anywhere). Maybe. Lot of bombs in there, and... An Ifrit? Wait, wait... You don't just find an Ifrit. If he lost it, it was gone for good. Stupid. Just focus. No reason he couldn't win. Squall was calm. Squall was confident. Squall was–– Confused as all hell. There were... far too many rules. At the moment, "Same" rule was in effect. That meant that cards with the same value were... No. What? Which card was his? Blue and red. He was... Damn! This girl; she'd already flipped two of his cards. Well, at least now it was obvious. Not bad at all, he thought.

Well then. From the looks of things, Ifrit was lost.

Squall smiled, handing his card to the giggling girl.
A loss was a loss, after all.

It would be in good hands with Rinoa.
