Elektra is the perfect loyal, devoted daughter. She strives to make herself the best. Why? Because that is what her father expects of her. There is no task that is put in front of her that she will not do everything in her power to excel at. Failure is not an option for her. Needless to say this does not win her friends. She is perfectly content with that.
Elektra is a closed off, distrusting person. When she meets someone she refuses to give her name. She does everything in her power to push whoever tries to speak to her away (if her bodyguards do not get to it first). She is even willing to get violent if that is what it takes to get rid of them. She has no desire to have anyone in her life aside from her father.
That is on the surface though. Deep down Elektra is lonely and unhappy. She often ditches her bodyguards just to get away from it all. The pressure of her father’s demands puts a huge strain on her emotionally which caused her to develop Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She suffers from terrible nightmares about her mother’s death. A great part of her just longs to connect with someone just to ease the pressure and loneliness.
One day it does happen. Elektra meets her kindred spirit in the form of a blind lawyer from Hell’s Kitchen named Matt Murdock. He will be someone who can keep up with her physically and emotionally being no stranger to tragedy and high expectations from a father himself. When Elektra is with him, we see an entirely different side of her. She can be playful and caring to the needs and desires of people aside from her father.
During their fight in the playground, he jokes with her about why they are fighting (he just wants her name) and she quickly returns that he should try getting her number. When Matt later requests on their first date that she stay with him so he can see what she looks like in the rain (when it rains, he claims that he can almost see again) and she obliges despite the fact she was trying to leave the date sooner. When Matt tries to leave the early date too (he overhears someone being mugged due to his enhanced hearing), she stops him and later does not question him about it; she lets him keep his secrets.
Other:
While I use examples from later in movie to explain Elektra's personality, she will be taken pre-canon. That is why her history sections mentions nothing of the movie; just her backstory. Speaking of which, her backstory is almost entirely from the movie Elektra which is the spin off sequel to Daredevil with support from what Elektra tells Matt in the movie about her past. This includes the mention of her OCD which is revealed in Elektra.
Fun fact: It is up in the air if Elektra is in the same universe as Tony Stark. Early Marvel movies like Spider-Man, Daredevil and X-Men didn't think it was important to remind people that most of these people should logically know of each other. That is why despite the fact that Elektra Natachios, Matt Murdock, and Peter Parker all live in the same city none of them are ever mentioned in each others movies. This is made even more hilarious by the fact that comic canon wise Spider-Man and Daredevil are best friends, allies, and know of each others secret identities.

[Video starts with a young woman staring into the camera with an amused smile on her face, green eyes shining brightly.]
You’re good, I’ll give you that. I’ve already had ten computer specialists in here trying to figure out what you did to my laptop. Since this page disappears whenever one of them comes in, I can only assume you’re watching through the camera.
[She props her head on her fist lazily.]
Well you’ve got my attention. What do you want? A job? You’re definitely skilled enough to get a job with us easily.
[There’s a small pause before her smile starts to fade.] Or is this your idea of a joke? Because it’s not funny.
[Her eyes darken immediately as she straightens.] I don’t appreciate that little play on my name or being watched in the privacy of my own home. When I get my hands on you, you’re going to wish you picked a fool’s daughter to play with. Enjoy this while you can.
[She reaches out and shuts off the feed.]
Third Person:
It was always an afterthought of Elektra’s. Out of blue she would begin to notice how bizarre this scene must appear to an outsider. The talented, beautiful daughter of Nikloas Natachios was sitting in a park and watching people all by herself in the middle of winter. In particular, an old woman with what she could only assume was her granddaughter building a snowman. It was a foolish move on her part. This was just the opportunity kidnappers and assassins needed to get a hold of her. She should go back to where she ditched her bodyguards and let them take her home.
Yet, she kept watching. Those vivid green eyes took note of every line and wrinkle on the woman’s face; lines that her mother would never have.
Her stare must have gotten too intense since the woman was finally taking notice of her. Elektra immediately flushed thinking how pathetic and weak she must look right now. Instead of being dismissed or scorned however the woman just smiled and offered to let her join them. Elektra did not think about it consciously. She simply stood up and started working on the base. Maybe she had just been out in the cold too long but that smile reminded her of simpler days. She could feel the warm sun beating down her in Greece as she ran through hedge mazes with her mother for fun. This woman was not her mother but, it still felt nice to be part of something for a little while.
For the next half hour, she worked on the snowman. Both the woman and child asked only polite, simple questions. Did she come here often? Not really; she was just exploring today. Was she excited for Christmas? Yeah, she found her father a nice gift in an antique shop the other day. She should come again another day to play with them. That caused her to pause. For a second, she dared to hope but, hearing the slam of a car door quickly dashed that. Her oldest and most experienced bodyguard approached speaking in her native tongue so quickly she could almost feel the apprehension of the older woman and her granddaughter. She had been gone for too long. They had to call her father. He was furious. She turned to the confused pair with a small smile, thanking them for a good time, and walked off with the older man.
