Personality:
Faith is what many people in canon refer to as a rogue Slayer. She doesn't do so well with the rules and regulations that come with Slaying and instead focuses on the rush she gets out of killing bad guys. She turns it into a kind of sport and doesn't take it seriously at all, which contrasts very sharply with the strong tutelage Giles has always given Buffy to emphasize on the thinking before acting. Faith, a foil to Buffy in every way, is the master of acting before thinking and about as reckless as a person can possibly get without dying.

She puts on a very devil may care attitude and tries to get herself as involved with the job as she can, and while it might seem like it's just because she enjoys it that much, really it's because demons and Hell haven't left her with much else. Her horrible childhood coupled with Slayer training and her natural Slayer aggression didn't make for a very friendly time in Boston, and any chance she did have at some there was gone as soon as she just bailed while running from Kakistos. With her mother dead and her father some guy she never knew, and considering she'd been bailed on by every Watcher she'd had -- or, worse, gotten them killed -- she's not the best at connecting with people. Period.

She has, however, had a slew of boyfriends, none of whom she speaks very well of. She lists them at one point as "Ronnie, deadbeat. Steve, klepto. Kenny, drummer." Her experiences with men have never been good ones, and it's made her something of a pessimist about all relationships. She tries to discourage Buffy about her relationship with Angel, saying that all men are beasts no matter how you spin it -- a mantra of hers. An overtly sexual woman by nature, though, something she'd chalk up to being a side effect of that increased Slayer everything, she has no problem with having casual sexual relationships with them. However, she doesn't allow herself to get close to anyone anymore, firmly believing that they'll either turn out to be losers or fuck you over in the end.

Faith's trust issues and self-isolation are the prime example of how jaded her life has made her. She's somewhat of a cautionary tale for Buffy, to keep her from going off the rails. Faith, yearning for some kind of direction and affection, is easily gullible towards paternal/maternal figures coming into her life, but aside from that, trusts no one. Despite the fact that she's more than capable in social situations, and even easily liked due to her confident and outgoing demeanor, she chooses not to get close and she tries to treat everything as though it doesn't matter, living her life on the shallowest level possible in hopes of not letting things affect her. How a Slayer should be, or so she believes.

She has some serious issues with shutting people out whenever things get too real. Instead of addressing the problem, she'd much prefer to pretend that it doesn't exist. She's more willing to build up a whole life to convince herself that she doesn't care than she is to actually acknowledge the serious issues, deal with them and move on, because she simply doesn't know how to do it.

In a policy that very much mirrors her slaying style, Faith operates on a policy of "want, take, have." She doesn't wait for things to come to her. When she sees something she want, she goes for it, and she pushes all her chips in without worrying about consequences. She lives in the moment.

Other:
Being the Slayer comes with a lot of exciting superpowers. These include, but are not limited to, superhuman strength, accelerated healing, precognitive and postcognitive dreams, enhanced intuition and innate fighting skills. It should be noted that Faith isn't big on education or anything, so her typing, grammar and spelling will be intentionally subpar on my part. I'm planning to, after a post or two, correct this through lots of voice posts. Also, she speaks with a rough Boston accent which I will fail at attempt to convey in the voice posts when I write them, but not through her awful text.
