First Person (entry type):

dude im never gonna hear the end of it from b when she finds out all this research crap of hers is paying off. guess itll give geekboy wonder and will somethin to do while were on patrol no complaints there.

all right so the hole nerd sittin at the computer all night thing is kinda lame but i can dig it when ya'll are talkin portals opening to new worlds and shit so i gotta make an exception. let's here it, guys lay it on me. whats the dealio yo? im all over it. just point me in the right direction and im game. hell dimension demon overlord you name it.

Third Person:

There were a couple of advantages that Sunnydale had over Boston -- Kakistos being the biggest of 'em for obvious reasons, but not really icing the cake. Boston had always been one hell of a dirty town, full of assholes whose way everybody always seemed to be getting into and the not a whole lot of sunshine on a good day. Sunnydale, on the other hand, was California weather. All sun, all the time -- which surprisingly did little to keep the vamps down. That was something Faith could appreciate in spades.

Not only did it make for one helluva party central, it meant patrolling never got old. Who needed a Watcher when you could party like this? Stake and slay double feature every night, kickin' around looking for places to hang or vamp nests during the day. It was like a little slice of paradise all set up on one cozy Hellmouth. After a while, the whole routine got pretty standard for her. She'd lock that motel room up tight and bail as soon as the sun went down, head further into town and keep an eye on parks and alleys. Without a doubt, there'd be some lower vampire creepin' on some poor girl who showed up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe once upon a time, Faith coulda commiserated. But not anymore. That was a different life.

Tonight, though. Tonight was different. Everything had been a little different since --

"Faith!" The voice called to her from behind and Faith turned, looking at first apprehensive and then quickly shifting it to a welcoming quirky grin.

"So you showed up after all." Two Slayers? Well. She'd give B this much credit at least, for as unwelcoming as she could be, there was yet to be a 'this town ain't big enough for the both of us' speech. Maybe 'cause she knew with how screwed Sunnydale was, there would always be enough goin' on to make two of 'em useful. No amount of ego could deny that.
