Team Cross went to a building where they heard Cross had been, but according to his recent lover, he had gone across the sea to Japan--Edo, to be exact. They started to follow him, but a swarm of Akuma flew over them towards the place they’d come from, and they had to go back. Suman Dark, an Exorcist, had betrayed his Innocence and become one of the Fallen. Allen used all the energy he could and all the power he could muster to save him and a nearby town, and after a while his arm gave out entirely. He was able to cut Suman’s Innocence from him, but that left the man brain-dead. For a couple seconds Allen hoped to send him to the doctor, but then he exploded. :)
Tyki Mikk, another Noah, had put carnivorous golems called Tease in Sudan’s body earlier, and they’d om nommed him from the inside out. Tyki had a card that said Allen needed to be killed because he knew a ‘certain someone’, and since Allen had already used up all his energy, he couldn’t defend himself as Tyki cut his left arm off, destroyed his Innocence, and then had a Tease eat a hole in his heart. The only thing he managed to do was have Timcampy take Sudan’s Innocence and fly back to Team Cross before he started dying from blood loss.
Allen was discovered by a member of the Exorcist Asian Branch, and it turned out that his Innocence wasn’t destroyed after all, it just turned into mist, and he trained hard to get it back. Training didn’t help--it wasn’t until a level 3 Akuma invaded the Asian Branch that he was able to summon his true innocence form which is the Crowned Clown, and defeat the Akuma.
The Akuma had come through the Noahs’ Ark, so Allen went through that same door and wound up in Edo along with everyone else. (Kanda, Lavi, Lenalee, Krory, Miranda, and others) They fought some Akuma, and then were sucked into the Ark (except Miranda) after finding out that Cross still wasn’t where they thought he was. >:C The miner with thick glasses showed up, who turned out to really be Tyki, and he gave them a key, saying that the Ark was collapsing since the Earl was creating a new Ark, and they only had a few hours to make it to the top of a tower and go through one of Road’s doors. They got there after losing Kanda and Krory to separate Noah battles, and Allen developed his 100% synchronization mode during his big fight with Tyki, which involves him turning his entire left arm into a sword that would make Cloud jealous. When he slashed Tyki with it, it messed with his Noah abilities and reduced him to a human for a short time.
Some more fighting happened and then Cross finally showed up. Apparently he’d been stalking them the whole time they’d been in the Ark. :| Cross told Allen that his friends were dead and made him go play a piano so that the Ark would stop collapsing. Then it turned out they were all still alive. Whatever, Cross.
This is the canon point I’m taking him from.
Personality:
Depending on the situation, he either acts with the maturity and perseverance of a full grown man, or the silly, immature, and short-tempered way of a regular teenage boy.
The first usually only shows up in battles, but it’s called upon more and more as the series goes on and his life starts to head towards a big hopeless, tragic finish. He’s forced to grow up way faster than he should’ve under normal circumstances, since he’s pretty much one of the few people getting in the way of the end of humanity. Even though there are other Exorcists around, a lot of things end up in his lap and he has to be responsible for just about everything in the whole world.
