First Person (entry type): This is definitely the worst place I've ever been in my entire life! Every day, people are always coming into the little room I'm kept in, wanting to talk and talk and talk... and whenever I try to change the subject to something that's actually interesting, they always say the same things:
[here she affects a mockery of a deep, gruff voice]
"That is not important right now". "My social life is of no relevance to the Vatican". "Your critique of our uniforms has nothing to do with this report".
[and back to her normal voice]
It's making me go crazy! They say they'll let me out as soon as they find a placement for me, but I might just die before then! You have to help me!
I'm not lying about how boring their uniforms, though. You should see them-- they're hideous.
Third Person:
This, Eris reflected, was not the best alleyway she'd slept in.
For one thing, it was wet. It had been raining the night before-- pouring, in fact-- and the awning over the street hadn't been wide enough to keep the deluge from being blown in by the wind, destroying the cardboard box that she had been sleeping in. Tonight, it was open air for her-- but at least she could see the stars.
She still thought about him, sometimes. A lot of the time she didn't let herself; there was no point to it, after all, because she was never going to see him again-- no matter how much he may have been on her side, the organization he worked for still wanted her dead. It wasn't surprising, though; her life would lead to circumstances that would make it dangerous for her to see the person who, no matter how little she had known him, was really her closest friend...
But she wasn't going to think about that. It wasn't something she could change, after all, so she'd just have to keep moving forward. Onward. Like always.
