► Nero on the Narada-- who destroyed the other 7 Starfleet ships that arrived and currently attacking the planet with a giant drill-- ...drilling. They got in contact with Nero and Nero knew who Spock was because Nero has serious beef with Spock from a now alternate future. (Alternate because Nero showing up changed the timeline). He's mad at Spock, who he never met, because he blames Future-Spock for the alternate timeline's future-destruction of Romulus because that makes perfect sense. He asks for Pike to come aboard his ship. Pike gives the position of Captain to Spock while he's gone and promotes Kirk to First officer. Once again Spock is not happy but no time to worry about that. Nero's plans became known after Sulu, Kirk, and a now-dead red shirt went down to disable the drill. He was gone to form a black hole inside Vulcan using red matter he stole from Future-Spock. Spock gets himself beamed down to the planet and attempts to rescue his mother, his father, and the elders. His mother doesn't manage to get beamed up. The planet is destroyed with her and billions on it. ► He decides the ship should meet up with the rest of the fleet to which Kirk strongly objects to. Spock is SO VERY not happy so he silences Kirk with a Vulcan nerve pinch and orders him thrown off the ship. Kirk ends up on Delta Vega which just happens to be the same planet Future-Spock is on and Scotty. ► Scotty and Kirk beam themselves up on the ship while it's in warp drive which surprises the heck out of Spock and makes him not happy again. Kirk, acting on orders from Future-Spock, attempted to prove Spock was emotionally compromised and shouldn't be in command. All attempts were unsuccessful until Kirk mentioned Spock's mother. He loves his mom okay? Spock snapped and attacked Kirk and came close to killing choking him to death. He was stopped by his father, realized he was in fact emotionally compromised, and stepped down as Captain which left Kirk in command. ► Nero wants to destroy Earth now. Yikes. Chekov formulated a plan to hide the ship in the planet’s atmosphere and Spock endorsed it. Spock volunteered to beam onto the Narada in a possibly suicidal mission, determine a way to destroy the vessel-- because of the similarities between Vulcans and Romulans and possibly rescue Pike. Kirk agreed and decided to go with him. They got aboard the ship, had a phaser fight, located Future-Spock's ship and Pike. Kirk went on to save Pike. Spock left with the ship and destroyed the drill and then crashed that ship full of red matter into the Narada. They both got beamed back just in time because Scotty is smooth like that. EARTH IS SAVED! ► On Earth, he runs into Future-Spock who convinces him not to leave the Enterprise crew and explained why he didn't just tell his past self what the heck was going on. It's because Kirk and Spock needed to do teamwork to be BFFs. ...No really. ► Spock currently serves as the Enterprise's First Officer.
Personality: Spock has a personality. He does. It's just mostly hidden under an intense Vulcan cool. His absence of emotion is not meant to be rude at all and it doesn't mean he couldn't care less about you or what's going on. It's a Vulcan thing. Vulcan's repress emotions as they view them illogical and unneeded as they get in the way of reason. Spock, being half-Vulcan, doesn't exactly share the same view that emotions are 100% unnecessary but will still act primarily on logic a majority of the time.
Under that extreme poker face is boiling emotions and layered-personality Spock rarely lets people see. He wouldn't be having all those fisticuffs with Kirk or making out with Uhura in an elevator if he didn't feel anything. He's not smiling on the outside but he might be laughing on the inside at you. He's capable of friendship (his Future-Self is so very fond of mentioning Kirk. What a bromance) and affection. He also has sense of humor that might be hard to read but very much there and can develop a fondness of things. I'm pretty sure he quotes Sherlock Holmes in the movie and if TOS is anything to go by-- it's probably because he's probably read those books.
On the other side of the emotional spectrum Spock constantly has to manage his rage issues. Spock can be childish. Kirk is the one that brings that out the most. When he cheated on his test the first thing Spock thinks to do is tattletale on him and complain about it. ACAAADEMY! KIRK IS A DIRTY cheater! …Only okay not really he was way slicker about it. He complains about the guy who annoys him being around about every time Kirk opens his mouth. That's certainly not just logic in there. Performing a Vulcan neck grip to get Kirk to shut up before ditching him on Delta Vega is something he did because Kirk's in the damn way and irritating the crap out of him. Spock's highly disciplined, honors the regulations and follows the code and Kirk pisses him off because he's not disciplined and pretty much throws the code out the window. Spock's a prude sometimes okay. He likes things orderly. While Kirk is irritating he doesn't bring out the full on rage unless you count that one time he mentioned his mom. Spock's mother is a berserker button. Insult her and he gets so angry the Vulcan side is off, the human side is on, and Spock is going to punch your teeth out.
And lastly, while he'll very rarely ever show it to anyone, he's capable of worry and deep sadness. He carries a huge burden of his entire planet being wiped out and his mother going with it. Two notable scenes are when he questions his mother, worrying she'll hate him for going along with getting rid of his emotions and after Kirk proves him emotionally compromised he has a brief moment where it's two much to hide, he's frowning, and he has to recooperate himself. Good luck trying to get close enough for him to show that though.
Other: ► So Spock was Uhura's instructor. Which means Uhura must've been doing the teacher considering her scenes with Spock in the movie where they uh... kiss and seem pretty established. Daaaamn. Let's pretend this didn't happen unless Uhura mun wants it. ► He's half-Vulcan! Which means he's weird. His blood is green, his liver is in a different spot, he's telepathic (MIND-MELD!), his strength is crazy, and he'll live longer than the average human. ► ...Hey doesn't he look kinda like Sylar?

There are over twenty words for 'intercourse' in the English language alone. These include but are not limited to: intimacy, coitus, and fornication.
Injuring one's foot on a chair while having a fantasized reverie of the nearest opposite sex does not give one the excuse to use the most vulgar of these words. The word ultimately serves no purpose in being in one's vocabulary. It is not at all appropriate for use at any time, especially while our xenolinguistics officer is helping me communicate with the leaders of a respectable people in a live broadcast.
I insist you all refrain from using this word in the future.
I also insist, no matter what the Captain's orders are, that you do not try to get me to say said word or I will not hesitate to assign you the duty of cleaning the ship's septic tanks.
Sulu was letting people on the ship, Scotty was working on something entirely new, and Kirk…Kirk was intoxicated and incoherently rambling irrational things about being fictional. Spock was more than positive almost the entire crew was in on it. Except him.
Spock does not appreciate being left out of the loop. Not at all. He was tempted to slam the captain’s head into the screen after quietly observing him use the community while consuming alcoholic beverages. Shouldn’t he, as First Officer, be told of such things?
And who gave the captain alcohol? He suspects Doctor McCoy.
The logical course here, since it would not be told to him, was to simply gain access to the site himself. So he did. It did not take him long to get access to it and analyze it. He reached a conclusion.
Communicating on a 21st century journaling site, while useful in obtaining knowledge of other worlds and timelines, is completely illogical otherwise.

And distracting.
Really. Who gave the captain alcohol?
