Britt Reid 4/4!
[Britt sits down at his computer, pulling up the Green Hornet email host when- the screen goes black. Clicking frenetically, assuming he's broken it, he clicks until the browser starts back up. Sighing with relief, he looks up, watching DramaDramaDuck load for the very first time. When all efforts to return to his server are for nought, he begins typing angrily in the 'Post' field.]
WHAT IS THIS PLACE. ARE YOU MY EMAIL? NO, YOU ARE NOT MY EMAIL. AND THERE INLIES THE PROBLEM. I NEED MY EMAIL. I'M AN IMPORTANT NEWSPAPER....GUY.
THIS IS SO NOT AWESOME.
[Just then, Kato walks by, coffee in hand as he sighs at Britt. Without missing a beat, he sets down Britt's coffee, presses 'caps lock' and carries on to the garage.]
...oh. so hi. i'm britt reid. you may have heard of me from the tv. why yes, i do own the daily sentinel. how'd you know? i'm kind of like tony stark only-- nah. i'm exactly like that. i even got my own pepper potts. and my own rhodey, my main ma--
he's not my man. my executive associate. he would kill me if he knew i called him my man, and he's asian, so i don't want to mess with that. we'll keep it between us. shhhhh
so if someone could tell me how to access my email, that would be great, and then you can all go back to your queer fantasy game. :-)
Third Person: Britt often wonders what life might be without Kato, but even the thought of it leaves him bereft. Kato is his true shan di; his true brother from another mother. When he slips on that mask, he knows there's no one in the world he'd rather have by his side. Not to mention, Kato is like this totally amazing genius and Britt has no idea why Kato even listens to him.
But it's not like Britt Reid to look a completely awesome gift in its horse-mouth, and so, he digresses. Today is another ridiculously awesome day for taking a bite out of crime. Isn't that what McGruff says? He's a cool cat, except for the fact that he's a dog. Anyway, Britt is so much cooler than him so it doesn't matter much.
His coffee, leaf and all, is waiting for him on the veranda, and as he looks out over his riches he knows that this cup is more valuable than all of it. He would trade his whole way of life; his cars, his silk pyjamas, his media empire for this one cup of coffee. It represented something he had never had in his entire life: friendship. The trust he and Kato shared was worth everything to him.
And besides all that, it was one fine cup of coffee.
