Voldemort wasn’t sure about what had happened and ordered Narcissa Malfoy to check to see if Harry was alive. She said he wasn’t because she wanted to return to Hogwarts to find her son. Hagrid was forced to carry Harry and Neville, thinking the prophecy meant him instead, killed Nagini, the last horcrux.
Infuriated, Voldemort then tried to kill Neville but Harry stood between them under his Invisibility Cloak casting a Shield Charm. This started the second round of the Battle of Hogwarts and after several duels, Harry revealed himself to his enemy.
During this battle, Harry taunted Voldemort with his birth name, telling him the truth about Snape and the Elder Wand. Enraged, Voldemort fired a Killing Curse at Harry but the Elder Wand wouldn’t kill its true master and Harry’s Disarming Charm helped backfire the curse, killing Tom Marvolo Riddle at last.
Personality:
Tom is a very sadistic and vindictive child. He takes pleasure in the suffering of others, especially those who cross him, and enjoys taking something from them to remember it by. These trophies he values more than people because he believes he is better than everyone else.
He was very manipulative, especially in his childhood and Hogwarts days. He used it to his advantage, coupling it together with his polite charm and brilliant intelligence to gain the favour of every teacher in Hogwarts, except Albus Dumbledore, the set of friends who eventually became his Death Eaters, and later in life as he served in Borkin and Burkes.
During his time at the orphanage, he grew more and more independent, claiming he walked the streets of London alone many times. He tells Dumbledore in that first meeting how he doesn’t need anyone else and this is a trait which only develops over time. This is also present when he shows his contempt for the connection he has to others; like having the first name, Tom. Even has a child he wishes to be different which is why he shed his name to become Lord Voldemort.
His arrogance is also a key trait which develops over time. His belief that he is better than everyone else because of the way he was raised. He never had parents to love him or take care of him and so had to do everything himself. He grew up learning independence and fighting his own battles. When he realised how he won those battles, he harnessed the power and used to hurt the people who were mean to him. He had more control over his powers than most wizards at that age and he had begun to use his powers consciously. This control over his power is what led him to believe he as better than everyone else and therefore the root of his arrogance.
Other: I’m going to play him from the start of his own canon. So he’s just turned eleven last December. He hasn’t met Dumbledore yet though.

They found Billy Stubbs’ rabbit this morning. The stupid boy was crying so hard it was funny. Mrs Cole went around asking everyone if they knew anything about it but they couldn’t point it at me. It wasn’t that hard either. I just wanted to be in the rafters and there I was. Stubbs had it coming to him. Thought he was better than me just because he had a pet. A rabbit. Why would I want a stupid rabbit? I showed him. Took his mouth organ too. That’s in my box now. With the thimble I got of that girl Martha. It’s mine now and Stubbs is dealt with. Today was a good day.
Third Person:
“Tell the truth.” Tom’s voice was full of authority and command but it was hidden by an act of well-practised fear. He glared at the girl with disgust but as soon as Mrs Cole looked upon him, his expression changed to one of sadness and anxiety.
He had been standing in Mrs Cole’s office for about ten minutes now. Only a few hours before did one of the new girls, Caitlyn Mack, tease him. But now Tom was getting his revenge. Just like with Billy Stubbs’s rabbit or with Dennis Bishop and Amy Benson in the cave, she would soon learn that he was better than her Then things would be back to normal and people would fear him, which was just the way he liked it.
He continued his sneak glares at Caitlyn thinking murderous thoughts as though thought alone would bring his will into reality. It wasn’t long before she broke down sobbing and confessed to bullying him. This was the way it was supposed to be. Anyone who crossed his path was immediately dealt with. That was how it started. With the arrogance to believe they were better than him. The arrogance to believe they were even equal to him! But he always showed them. He’d teach them the right way to behave; he’d teach them to fear him. The fear which would give way to respect; and respect gave you power. The power which he held over them because of this wonderful ability bestowed only to him.
Tom was escorted back to his room by Mrs Cole who assured him that Caitlyn would be dealt with accordingly. Once the door closed, Tom smirked. He’d collect his trophy tomorrow and he’d sleep tonight.
I actually got in trouble today. I couldn’t believe it. Those idiots actually thought it was my fault. It wasn’t, you know. It was that Dennis Bishop boy who turned up last week. He thinks he’s tough but I’ll show him. I’ll teach him to get me in trouble.
They stopped me going outside because of him. Not that I really mind. I’ll just plot my revenge. We’re going out into the countryside next weekend. I’ve been told there’s a cave we can explore. I’ve been told we’re going to be in groups. I think I’ve got a plan for my new friend Dennis.
We're sorry, but this application has been rejected. We feel you do not have a solid enough grasp on the voice and character of Riddle; he is a complex character, but is shown in your samples as being fairly one-note. We would recommend reviewing his motivations and how he speaks about things. Please feel free to reapply!
