History:First Person (entry type):
A 300-year old Demon residing in New Hell after being assigned the menial task of janitorial work for the majority of her existence, once the Runaway Spirit Squad requires extra hands, Elsie drops her broom (figuratively, rather than literally to everyone's dismay) and is recruited. Thus starting her reason to appear to the world above to help catch the spirits that have aptly "run away".
A runaway spirit is a demon that has escaped Old Hell and hid themselves in a girls' heart. This spirit uses the empty space of a girls host as temporary residence before it uses the girls entire body to help resurrect it by, you guessed it, having a child. Which is why it is vastly important to fill this girls emptiness and one way to do such is by love.
But before Elsie can even think about finding these demons, she needs one crucial thing and that is a: buddy. A buddy is a just as it sounds, they're simply partners but a little differently, they're mainly human partners and Elsie sets her eyes on the rumored Capturing God, Keima Katsuragi. Even infamous through hell, Keima is the man rumored to be able to capture the hearts of any girl but what anyone fails to mention is that Keima is only able to capture the hearts of any 2D girl. Keima is the otoge expert and this miscommunication leads to an ill-fated union between him and his newfound, unwanted buddy and responsibilities.
Under the assumption that Keima is able to seduce any type of girl, Keima is sent a contract to assist the Runaway Squad which to him sounds more like a challenge. Blindly accepting it, Keima is suddenly stuck with Elsie and a collar around that his neck which will decapitate his head should he refuse helping her. Stuck with this unfortunate luck, Keima and Elsie have no choice but to work together and help fill the girls heart with Keima's love... Which would be even easier if he didn't hate 3D girls.
More personally, growing up, Elsie was a poor student and a poor demon. Unlike her overachieving sister and the other bright students like a demon called Haqua, Elsie has learned to smile through her personal disappointments and content herself with doing chores like cooking and cleaning. But now that she has been given the opportunity to prove herself a worthy demon and even if she was unsuccessful, she's happy with being given the chance.
However, Elsie can't live as a demon while she resides on Earth and manages to take on the identity of Keima's younger half sister or more humorously, Keima's father's illegitimate daughter much to the shock and horror of Keima's mother. This identity allows her to attend Keima's school and generally be around him at all time and bear witness to his insane gaming habits.
Personality:
Cheery and go-lucky, Elsie is the direct opposite to Keima and any preconception's people would have on 'demons from hell'. While the latter is due to state of hell itself, Elsie is still more optimistic and happy than any other person or demon would be. Elsie tries her best in everything even if she's clumsy or incompetent at the task. Elsie unabashedly dives head first into her work not matter how daunting it may seem but she might waddle out of the pool if it proves to be not as easy as she initially expected. Her cowardice at times, again, conflict with what one would expect from a demon. Hence why she easily lets Keima take the lead in all of his conquests and Elsie is content on giving him background support or commentary on his very dramatic strategies though she may act out if she doesn't enjoy the task he's assigned to her.
Despite having less parameters than her human counterpart, Elsie is amusing on her own and much more popular with her classmates than Keima is. Even Keima's own mother prefers her company more. She's sociable and friendly, warming up to people much more easily than Keima would or could. Though she has mastered this aspect of the human world, Elsie is still very new to it and is very fascinated by things most people take for granted. While being obsessed with singing idols is not all that uncommon Elsie also develops a strange obsession for... Fire trucks. Elsie's knowledge about Japanese history is outdated and she fails at most of her classes. But again, despite those oddities, Elsie also appreciates Keima and tries hard to earn his approval even if he's quick to make her flaws known and deny acknowledging her achievements.
Although it's through Keima's gaming skills that allows helps Elsie capture the runaway souls, Elsie still fails to understand how Keima finds his games more fascinating than real people and thinks his habits can be somewhat pointless. At least pointless enough to not understand why he needs to be so protective, defensive and even argumentative about it. But that leads to Keima enlightening her and the audience about the necessity of otoges and illustrate how much Elsie's existence has become an intrusion to his sacred life. But even though he finds her frustrating and annoying and vice versa, they both find one another endearing enough to put up with each other and work together.

Dear Ducky-kami sama!Third Person:
I know I don't have to type to you like this but I think it's a lot more friendly to address you this way. Kami-sama has a blog too but it's not as pretty as this place. It's sort of plain and it's just filled with his opinion on his games. But, anyway!
Today was a really interesting day. I went to the school's library to look up books about fire engines! [she holds up a two-spread paged picture of one, with a finger pinned right in the middle of it] Aren't they simply amazing? And they're so ... red! I hope to see a real fire engine soon. The library's assistant helped me find books like these and she found lots, lots... lots more! It was amazing! I never people were as interested about writing fire engines as I am about reading them!
But I have a secret... That girl is Kami-sama's next conquest. She doesn't talk a lot so this may be his most difficult challenge yet.
Please don't tell anyone, Ducky-kami-sama! [shuffling back to return to her fire truck books] Now I'm going to ask you all a question. Even though I'm not finished with these ones I already want to know a lot more, so... Ducky-kami sama! I have a favor to ask. Since the Internet is a big place, can everyone help me find fun websites with fire engines on them? That would be really helpful!
Thank you very much,
Elsea de Lute Irma
It had already been late in the afternoon and Keima still hadn't left his room. While the great Kami-sama had worked hard to fill the last conquest's heart and help Elsie capture four runaway souls, that still didn't justify his hermit behavior. Even though Elsie knew what he was up to, a young boy in a dark room, all alone and with only the thought of girls invading his mind and she knew she should absolutely not disturb him... Not leaving his room after all that time, wouldn't his hands start to cramp up? His room was probably a mess and more importantly, wasn't it about time he changed the sheets in his bed?
She sighed quietly as she lamented Keima's very off-putting habits, shaking her head as the weird noises Keima made escaped from the crevices of his room.
"Kami nii-sama..." what am I going to do with you she asks herself before reluctantly turning the knob of his bedroom door, bracing herself for the image she might see.
After witnessing the scene once before, Elsie still didn't understand the point of playing six games at once. A cute boy like Keima should be out with friends and getting fresh air! But instead he's holed himself up in his room with a neat arrangement of monitors and every console ever created running instead.
Elsie still didn't understand how anyone could be content with that sort of lifestyle but that was probably why he was so useful to conquests in the first place. Still. It didn't hurt to hope that he could grow to be more sociable. While Elsie and Keima's mother knew there was more to him than met the eye, no one else was going to get past his "otamegane" status if he forfeited his bodies needs to simply play games. And while he was a great partner, if only he had this sort of motivation towards capturing runaway souls... Or anything and anyone else.
The light glow of screens was starting to hurt her eyes as she took a peek at all of the games he was playing. His hands continued to move at a rapid pace and though she had set her sights on one screen, the dialogue and text changed so fast she didn't even have a chance to read them. So many questions were running through her head, most of them starting with "why" as she slipped back into the hall as unnoticed as she had entered.
Even if he didn't want it right now, she was going to make him eat some real food because no matter what she's been told, it's impossible for someone to live off games. And as Elsie went off to the kitchen to make her hell famous partner, she could hear a cackle as if it was going to prove her mental statement wrong.
Moist was born in Lipwig, Uberwald, to parents who apparently really suck at naming their children. Little is known about his early life, though he apparently did spend a lot of time around the hunting dogs who come from that part of Uberwald, and also lived through some very turbulent times in his country's history, forcing him to learn to survive by whatever means he could.
During this period, he became a conman, at one time working with a man named Cribbins, who taught him everything he (meaning Cribbins) knew. Moist didn't much appreciate many of these lessons, as he felt that Cribbins was an unnecessarily brutal criminal, and Moist tried hard to forget a lot of what he 'learned' during this period.
Moist's big advantage in life is his forgettable face. He's very skilled at making himself impossible to describe to law enforcement, by means of adding features to what would otherwise be an unmemorable visage - adding glasses or a moustache and other features gives people something to point out and describe, and when he takes them off again, he can easily blend into a crowd and disappear.
He uses this, and a natural charisma and intelligence, to swindle greedy people out of their money, ultimately amassing a fortune in excess of 150,000 AM (Ankh-Morpork dollars). Then he gets caught, hanged, and pressed into civil service under his real name, much to his chagrin. He is first tasked with reviving the Ankh Morpork Postal Service, something he does with great success, inventing stamps, investing his entire fortune into the effort, and ultimately exposing the fraud committed by the owners of the Clacks company, thereby giving Lord Vetinari the ability to bring the Clacks under government control. During this period, he meets Adora Belle Dearheart, and begins to court her. He also wears a gold suit, and a hat with wings on it.
Once he's brought the Postal Service under his wing - so to speak - things start to get boring for him, so Vetinari gives him another task - fixing the Ankh Morpork Royal Bank and the Royal Mint. As a former bank robber, he is apparently perfectly suited to this task. He refuses, but ends up roped into it anyway, via a dead old lady who left the damn thing to him. He manages to invent paper money, and saves the Ankh Morpork economy from the greedy Lavish family.
From hints left at the end of this book, he's supposed to fix the taxation system next.
Moist is a thrill junkie, but also a good-hearted and non-violent person. He turned to running cons because he loved the adrenaline rush, but prided himself on only swindling people who were trying to swindle him, and on never carrying a weapon or hurting anyone. One thing he learned in Going Postal was that he had, in fact, actually harmed and even killed people, in an indirect manner. This realization is something he initially dismisses as not being his fault, but which affects him deeply. He's literally terrified just holding a weapon, as it raises the stakes - he prefers to avoid violence and to talk himself out of situations wherever possible, or simply to run if talking doesn't work.
Talking usually works.
Despite being physically unremarkable (though generally handsome) Moist is very charming and skilled at getting people to like him. People gravitate towards him instantly, and he's a showman, knowing how to work a crowd, how to get a laugh. If people are laughing, they're not paying attention to what you're really doing. If you can direct their attention over here, they won't see the queen you palmed over there.
Though his real skill is his words, Moist is also a skilled lockpick, pick pocket, and forger. Though he cares for people and eventually accepts his path on the straight and narrow, he can never truly leave his criminal nature behind. He steals Drumknott's pencils, basically because he can, and when Adora Belle isn't around to distract him, he breaks into his own post office, just because he's so bored it seems more interesting than going in through the door.
