Your application has been received-- we're taking some time to learn more about Touhou, because one of our main concerns about applications from that series is that so much is fanon that there is a lot of debate over which characters can be applied for in a game like ours. Please be patient!

Character Notes:
History: Once upon a time, there was a war in heaven of the gods against the demons called Ragnarok. This war was going badly for the gods until they created angels with some portion of their power, called Grim Angels. One Grim Angel, Aries, refused to fight. The punishment for his crime of disobedience was that he was stripped of his wings and his power, made immortal, wrapped in the Chains of Conviction, and sent him down to earth.
While on earth, he made a bargain with a group called the Yumel, that they would teach him to master the Power of Words (whatever that does, probably makes Tactics Cards or zombies or something else Nessiah does) in exchange for one of his eyes. He put his other eye into the hilt of the Gran Centurio, a sword that absorbs power from all of the conflict on earth. Then he gave it to Fantasinia's royal family and told them "Justice lies with the Holy Sword." This would not end well.
A very long time later, during which Nessiah has probably been stirring up trouble, Blaze Union happens. Nessiah, who has been acting as a prophet deep in the woods, is recruited into Gram Blaze, a group seeking to remake Bronquia for the better. Nessiah helps them strategically in many battles, even managing to recruit a fiercely loyal general on the other side to their cause through clever tactics.
Oh, and when they actually succeed at taking over the country, Nessiah casually suggests to Gulcasa, the leader, that they take over more countries to spread their justice. Gulcasa, in a weakened state of mind due to having just Genocided one of his soldiers (on Nessiah's suggestion, again), agrees immediately.
Three years pass.
Yggdra Union happens. Bronquia invades Fantasinia and kills the king and queen. Embellia loses the Transmigram it needs to survive and starts attacking humans based on the advice of a wandering magician. A magician gives the heads of the two opposing houses of Verlaine powerful Ankhs and lets them duke it out for each other's.
All of this is Nessiah's fault, of course. During his actual appearances in the game, he kills his own Bronquian unit that had been meant to finish off the Rebel Army, then kills himself.
Then he shows up later to tell them to hurry up and save their damn princess before she's killed. Did I mention that you can't kill Nessiah permanently unless he's on Ancardia?
At the end of the game, Ancardia rises from the sea. When the heroes naturally investigate, Nessiah brings back their dead friend as a zombie to fight them, and when they win, demands the Holy Sword from them (since it's his) so he can wage war against the gods. He seems a little surprised when they refuse. They fight, the heroes win, Nessiah is permanently killed.
Personality: Nessiah really hates the gods. I mean really. Practically everything he does is meant, in the long run, to create conflict that will power up the Holy Sword that he can use to break the Chains of Conviction and go after the gods. The fact that a whole lot of people need to die for this to work? Not a problem. Bringing back someone's dear friend as a zombie to fight them? Done it twice in the games, once in the canon timeline. He's willing to turn traitor on people he was supposed to be leading and willing to use innocent Undines' affections for him to get the gem that keeps her people alive.
Aside from being incredibly ruthless, he's somewhat irritating to talk to. He's very smug, tends to giggle, and always is very polite while still being that smug. He doesn't care about petty things like mortal danger, food, or most people.
Despite all that, he's got a lot of pain built up from the unjust nature of his punishment. (Even one of the people he brought back as a zombie feels bad for him.) And he does develop actual fondness for certain people - there's a fair amount of Ship Tease in Yggdra Unison, a noncanon side game, for Nessiah and Gulcasa. There may possibly still be some of that person who refused to fight so long ago in Nessiah, but he'll deny it to the end.
Other: As mentioned above, you can't kill Nessiah permanently except on Ancardia, which spends most of the series underneath the sea. He's also a very powerful magic user capable of summoning very powerful Astarte (technical term for undead warriors/zombies). Most of the time, he's limiting his power so that nobody's fallen angel alarms go off. I'm planning on taking him from before his introduction in Blaze Union.

First Person (entry type): Hoh? This is quite an interesting book, and one I wasn't aware I had in my possession. If it's genuine, the magic used to operate it is something I've never seen before. Such things are becoming increasingly rare over the years.
...Well. It has been several weeks since I last had a visitor, so I should consider this a blessing. Boredom and I are well-acquainted, but I've never regarded it as a friend.
My name is Nessiah. At the moment, I am living in the heart of a forest, awaiting those who come to seek my council. I have a reputation as a prophet, you see.

Third Person: Of all the times that Nessiah had been killed, and there were many, many times over the hundreds of years he'd been alive, few of them were ones he considered particularly noteworthy. Some of them came from an error in judgment, others from an anomaly he could not have predicted.
Of all the times that Nessiah had been killed, there were some that were simply embarrassing to think about. Like the time that he'd traded insults with a knight known for his bloodlust, who had his entire unit behind him. That had been stupid. Nessiah maintained that he was drunk at the time, despite not remembering imbibing any alcohol, and would never do something like that in his proper state of mind.
Nothing else he ever was killed for was quite that embarrassing, so maybe he was right.
Nessiah cleared his thoughts. He had a visitor approaching, trudging slowly through the woods, and would need to be his usual mysterious self.

Other: As mentioned above, you can't kill Nessiah permanently except on Ancardia, which spends most of the series underneath the sea. He's also a very powerful magic user capable of summoning very powerful Astarte (technical term for undead warriors/zombies). Most of the time, he's limiting his power so that nobody's fallen angel alarms go off. I'm planning on taking him from before his introduction in Blaze Union.

First Person (entry type): Hoh? This is quite an interesting book, and one I wasn't aware I had in my possession. If it's genuine, the magic used to operate it is something I've never seen before. Such things are becoming increasingly rare over the years.
...Well. It has been several weeks since I last had a visitor, so I should consider this a blessing. Boredom and I are well-acquainted, but I've never regarded it as a friend.
My name is Nessiah. At the moment, I am living in the heart of a forest, awaiting those who come to seek my council. I have a reputation as a prophet, you see.

Third Person: Of all the times that Nessiah had been killed, and there were many, many times over the hundreds of years he'd been alive, few of them were ones he considered particularly noteworthy. Some of them came from an error in judgment, others from an anomaly he could not have predicted.
Of all the times that Nessiah had been killed, there were some that were simply embarrassing to think about. Like the time that he'd traded insults with a knight known for his bloodlust, who had his entire unit behind him. That had been stupid. Nessiah maintained that he was drunk at the time, despite not remembering imbibing any alcohol, and would never do something like that in his proper state of mind.
Nothing else he ever was killed for was quite that embarrassing, so maybe he was right.
Nessiah cleared his thoughts. He had a visitor approaching, trudging slowly through the woods, and would need to be his usual mysterious self.

Daffy doesn't have a set canon history as he's a cartoon character that has evolved over many years in a variety of mostly gag cartoons (well over 100), each with their own short storylines. He has taken on many roles - anything from would-be heroics (which he often fails at in favour of others) or antagonising other characters such as Bugs Bunny. He's appeared in many parodies of movies or genres. Since I will be primarily be playing him from his heyday in the 1950's, examples of these include:
"Robin Hood Daffy" - in which he re-enacts the Robin Hood legend with Porky Pig as Friar Tuck, who shows him up even as Daffy tries to impress him.
"Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th century" - a sci-fi parody featuring Porky Pig as his sidekick and Marvin the Martian as an alien rival, both trying to discover and claim Planet X.
"Deduce You Say" - sending up detective tales with Daffy in the Sherlock Holmes role and Porky Pig as Dr. Watson (names changed), who is wiser than the alleged great duck detective.
"Drip Along Daffy" - A parody of westerns. Again Porky is 'comic-relief' (as Daffy terms his character) and saves the day despite Daffy's best efforts himself as the would-be new sheriff.
"Ali Baba Bunny" - Arabian Nights-related. Bugs Bunny and Daffy find a cave full of gold and a genie. Daffy shows his greedy side with his classic cries of: "Mine! Mine! Mine!"
"Rabbit Fire"/"Rabbit Seasoning" - Bugs and Daffy try to convince hunter Elmer Fudd that it is either Rabbit Season or Duck season, usually resulting in Daffy getting shot repeatedly.
"The Ducksters" - Playing game show host on a show that brutalises its contestants - until Daffy gets his comeuppance via Porky.

Greedy and will turn on others in an instant, Daffy usually runs from danger. He's easily frustrated and quick to anger - sometimes very explosive anger. But it's mostly foiled in some way and he often ends up being the one injured. He's devious and can be very mean in both his words and actions, often accompanied by a sinister laugh.
He thinks he's the star. Daffy is almost always self serving and has a huge ego, often thinking he is right or the hero or the star of the show, when everyone from Bugs Bunny to Porky Pig upstage him regularly in various ways. This rarely gets him down though. He keeps on trying and thinking that he's the superior one.
Gold or adulation will make him starry-eyed. He craves these things but ends up disappointed. He has a rivalry with Bugs Bunny and mostly a sidekick relationship with Porky Pig (Porky being the calm sidekick). Said to be one of the first characters to put the 'looney' in Looney Tunes, Daffy is a very emotional duck and he can switch from freaking out to devious or snide to snooty in a second - whatever can gain him glory or some other personal gain.
He has taken on a variety of roles reflecting some of these traits, aside from cartoon shorts where he's basically playing himself. Often these are ineffectual versions and his sidekick is more knowing or saves the day instead of him. Examples are his versions of Robin Hood and Sherlock Holmes.

He can be quick with a snappy line and can get himself out of bad situations with a twisted conversation to confuse them. But his weakness is being overly greedy and prone to emotional outbursts. All right, what is all of this? Is this a joke, huh? Ducks falling from the sky! The rubbery kind which belong in a bathtub and not in the clouds, falling on my head! Fine. They bounced right off but that's beside the point, isn't it. It is raining ducks and while I am not above some irony I do not appreciate them falling on this little black duck.
Listen, bub. I know somebody out there must be responsible for this and I demand to know which one of you it is!!!
You know if you had gold falling from the sky instead it would be much more productive and I could split the proceeds with you. 90/10, what do you say? 90% to me, of course. Gotta read the fine print... Hey -- you're not reading the fine print, are you? Look away now!
Ahem. So do we have a deal, stranger of the falling rubber ducks?

Eagerly, Daffy Duck opens his new contract that has just arrived in the mail. Paper goes flying and he begins reading. Gradually his expression turns from joy to incredulous to rage and he tears the contract up, screaming:
"How dare they! I'm the lead in this new picture, not him! Not that no-good rabbit! Why I oughta....," he huffs at the end, breathing heavily and his eyes glaring redly. Then they narrow and he smirks evilly. "Hmmmmmm.... if that's the way they want to play it then I shall play along."
He grabs some sticky tape and with a whirl the contract is patched up. He eyes it again, his mind calculating dark and devious thoughts. "Bugs Bunny... Blah blah blah... Top billing... Blah blah... Daffy Duck... co-star... Hmph! We'll see about that."
He tosses the contract to the side then rummages in a nearby box, tossing out a virtual arsenal of weapons. "We'll see who's the co-star, bunny buddy! Now where's that... Aha!" He reveals a piece of paper with a phone number on it and dials, tapping his fingers lightly on the desk. "Elmer Fudd, please, madam," he says smoothly when a lady answers. Oh, yes, that rabbit would not be the star if he was taken out of the picture completely. Whatever it took, he'd convince Elmer that it was rabbit season again.
