Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Character Notes:
History:

To start with, Ventus was an apprentice under Master Xehanort but after he refused to use the Darkness inside himself to help create the χ-Blade, he uses his own Keyblade to extract the Darkness from Ven’s heart and give it the name Vanitas. This left Ventus in a comatose state so his Master took him to Destiny Islands to live out his last days. But here, Ventus was able to talk to a young Sora and connect his broken heart to Sora’s so he can stay alive and become strong enough to mend his heart on his own.

Once Xehanort realises that Ventus isn’t dying, he takes the boy to the Land of Departure to be raised and taught by Master Eraqus. Terra and Aqua greet Ventus with open arms but quickly find out that Ventus has amnesia and so they don’t talk about the past. The three become firm friends and train together to move towards their common goal: To become Keyblade Masters.

On the day of Terra and Aqua’s Mark of Mastery exam, Master Xehanort turns up to watch with his new apprentice, Vanitas. Vanitas gives Ventus some incentive to leave home by suggesting that Terra won’t be the same person when he comes back from the task set by Master Eraqus. Fearing the worst, Ventus goes after Terra into the Lanes Between and starts his journey.

He visits lots of worlds and eventually meets up with Terra and Aqua in Radiant Garden. They fight a giant Unversed together but Terra leaves soon after. Aqua tries to bring Ventus home but he refuses and goes in search of other friends. He meets lots of new people in every world but it all comes down to meeting his old Master again in the Badlands. He is finally told of his past and goes home to ask Master Eraqus about it. They fight and Eraqus tries to destroy Ventus to save the world from χ-Blade. But Terra arrives in time to stop him and sends Ventus to Destiny Islands where Vanitas was waiting for him. They talk and eventually Vanitas taunts Ventus into fighting him at the Keyblade Graveyard.

So Ventus journeys there so he can save his friends, and while he does destroy the χ-Blade, it destroys his heart as well. He is placed in Castle Oblivion by Aqua and is still in his comatose state.

Personality:

Ventus is the youngest of the three main characters and his original group of friends but he doesn't let it bother him. Instead he learns from Terra and Aqua and even goes as far as looking up to Terra like an older brother. He does show his youth in several scenes such as when Scrooge McDuck tells him to take two grown-ups to Disney Town and he gives the tickets to Terra and Aqua. Not long after that, he is told to go home by both of his friends and he pouts and doesn't understand they're just trying to protect him from harm. Instead of going home as told, he continues to search for them and others for his friendship until the end which could be a willingness to prove he is not a kid as he appears to be.

Throughout the game, Ventus is shown to have remarkable courage despite the odds, loyalty to both friends and strangers and curiosity which should get him in trouble. He is seen protecting Jaq from Lucifer when he was no larger than the mouse, helping Snow White through the woods after only just meeting her and fighting off the Unversed for Ienzo even though he hadn't seen the boy before. He doesn't mind putting himself in danger for others, especially Terra and Aqua and will do so even if he knows the risk is losing his own heart.

To Ventus, friendship is the most important thing. It's what gives him his power and his friends' power comes from him. It's his friendship with Terra and Aqua which makes me fight Vanitas in the end and let him forge the χ-blade with his heart. This bravery and selflessness is his greatest strength and his greatest weakness.

First Person (entry type):

The last few days have been really strange. I wish I'd realised that the night of the meteor shower was the last time everything was going to be normal. Terra and Aqua's Mark of Mastery exam didn't go as planned, at least for Terra, and now everything's changed. Terra left soon after the results and I need to find him. I can't let the Masked Boy be right. He doesn't know the first thing about Terra! I hope I find him soon. And I do, we'll go home and everything will be normal again. I'll miss my armour and glider though. Oh I hope he's alright. I hope he and Aqua are alright.

Third Person:

Ventus sat in the Radiant Garden for a while after Lea and Isa had left and thought about the road ahead. Perhaps he didn't need to follow the road Terra and Aqua had taken. He'd always be there for them if they needed him, and they'd always be there for him if he needed them, but for now, he'd go his own way.

He wanted to learn about friendship, make new friends and know how those friends valued the concept and his own friendship with them. He needed to learn more about it. It was one of many reasons he's left home in the first place. Standing up, he took out Terra's wooden Keyblade and grinned. He'd meet up with them some point down the line, but for now, this was his own path.

Throwing his own Keyblade into the air, he summoned his Keyblade Glider and smiled. This was going to one fun story to tell when he did finally meet up with Terra and Aqua, and he couldn't wait to create it.

Character: Peggy Carter
Fandom: Captain America: The First Avenger | Marvel Cinematic Universe

Character Notes:
History:
Not much is known about Peggy’s background, other than the fact that she is English and an Agent of some sort (unfortunately it’s never specified in the movie what agency she’s actually with, although in the comics she was something to do with the French Resistance). She is first introduced after Steve has met Dr. Erskine and been signed up to join a special division of the U.S. Army. Peggy oversees the training week (answering to Colonel Phillips) and seems to be drawn to Steve pretty much from the beginning – most notably she is amused by his creativity and originality when he is the one who figures out how to bring the flag from the top of a pole to the team leader, thus scoring a ride back to base in the car.

Once it’s been decided Steve is the most appropriate choice for the serum experiment, Peggy rides with him to the lab on the morning of the procedure and the two of them bond over their determination to stand up for themselves (Steve because he’s a scrawny kid without much going for him, Peggy because she’s a woman wanting to be taken seriously in her line of work). Although she tries to maintain a professional distance, it’s pretty obvious she’s amused by Steve’s lack of social skills when it comes to women and possibly even finds him endearing.

The experiment turns out to be a success, hurrah! Beforehand Peggy is clearly nervous – and not only because a lot is riding on this experiment. Apparently she’s come to care for Steve and is anxious for him – seen when he cries out in pain and she immediately orders everything to be shut down to save him (of course, Steve is stubborn and insists on going through with it, which is just as well really otherwise it would have been a very short, disappointing movie).

Of course, nothing is ever simple, and everyone’s celebrations are interrupted by a Hydra spy destroying part of the lab. While most people are running about in a flap and Steve is distracted trying to see if Erskine is going to survive his gunshot wounds, Peggy springs into action and gives chase to the spy. She manages to shoot his getaway driver but by this point Steve has decided to join the fray and “help”...by pulling her out of the way of the speeding car before she can shoot the spy too. Of course, even if she’d managed it she probably would have been hit too, but that is completely beside the point and she’s annoyed by Steve’s actions.

Steve catches the spy, who swallows poison so he can’t be taken in for questioning. A bit later, a doctor is taking another blood sample from Steve with Peggy supervising, because the only other vial of serum they had got destroyed in the fight with the spy, meaning the only way they can make more is by using Steve’s blood/DNA.

Colonel Phillips then orders Peggy to London with him for war-related stuff, but refuses to let Steve come since he’s an experiment, and one super solider does not an effective army make. So while Steve is convinced to sell bonds for the war effort and embarks on his 5-month tour of major cities, Peggy is off in London – and possibly at the front too – gathering intel and other important things which we don’t get to see.

And then it’s early November (1943) and Steve and his harem performers have been sent to Italy to try and entertain the troops. He fails miserably and goes to cheer himself up by doodling, when lo! Peggy appears. She doesn’t seem too impressed by Steve the Performing Monkey, telling him he was meant for more than that. During their conversation, it transpires that Steve had just been in front of what was left of the 107th – the Division(?) Steve’s best friend Bucky had enlisted in. Upon finding out that the majority of the troops were POWs and that Bucky was not amongst those who returned, Steve decides to launch a one-man rescue mission. Peggy intervenes, but rather than stopping Steve from going, she helps. She convinces Howard Stark to fly them over enemy lines, where Steve can parachute down at a safe distance, and then call them to come get him and the troops when he’s done.

Obviously, the enemy doesn’t take too kindly to their plane and tries to shoot them down, which means Steve decides to jump out earlier than planned. Peggy tries to stop him, insisting it would be better to take him as far as possible, but Steve refuses and points out that he ranks at Captain level so he doesn’t have to listen to her.

Epic rescue mission is epic, but since Steve’s communicator ends up with a bullet hole in it, he can’t call back to base to let everyone know he’s alive and has managed to free the other soldiers. This leads Colonel Phillips to be seen writing a letter to Senator Brandt back in the U.S., informing him that Steve is missing, presumed dead. He blames Peggy for them losing Steve, but she stands up to him and says she doesn’t regret her actions. Steve and the rescued troops show up soon after, though, so all is forgiven.

And we’re back in the war rooms below London, where Steve tells everyone about a map of possible Hydra bases he’d seen back in Austria, and Col. Phillips instructs Peggy to coordinate with MI6 on the matter. I’m assuming this is now early 1944 since in the previous scene Steve was meant to be receiving a medal for his actions. The rescue took place around the 3rd of November, but considering the troops would have had to walk back to base camp, presumably that would have taken a while, so I’m guessing they’d get back a few days later, and debriefs and paperwork would have to happen...a bit of handwaving is needed, but personally I think the next events would have happened after Christmas.

Steve puts together a team (made up of soldiers he’d rescued) to destroy the bases. And by put together I mean he hangs out with them in a bar and they agree but only if he buys them all drinks for the rest of the night. Which he does. Peggy shows up looking pretty in...red, but apparently she’s not dressed up to go dancing since she has another conversation with Steve about finding the right partner. Or, it’s kind of a conversation with Bucky, but she spends the whole time staring lovingly into Steve’s eyes, which Bucky finds most upsetting. Poor bb isn’t used to being ignored. Anyway, Peggy was there to tell Steve he needs to be back at the war office prompt at 8 the following morning so Stark can equip him with his fancy new weaponry.

The next day, a horny secretary tries to make a move on Steve while he’s waiting to see Col. Phillips and Peggy catches them mid-make out session which, understandably, pisses her off a great deal. Steve gets defensive and starts blabbering about fondue, which he’s convinced is a euphemism, but Peggy just rolls her eyes at him and leaves him to it. Stark very kindly educates Steve on the real definition of fondue and then Steve picks his new shield, made out of vibranium. When Peggy happens to wander past and Steve asks her what she thinks, her response is to shoot a gun at him and let that do the talking. The shield isn’t even dented and Peggy feels better, while poor Steve just looks hurt and confused.

Steve and his Merry Men go off kicking butt and being awesome, trailed by some camera guy who sends footage back to the home front for people to watch and twiddle their moustaches at and nod and say “hm”. Or in Peggy’s case, blush when there’s a clear shot of Steve’s compass, which has a photo of Peggy taped to it. Who knows how he even got that.

Current Characters: The Master, The Fifth Doctor, and Regulus Black

Character: Prussia (Gilbert Beilschmidt)
Fandom: Axis Powers Hetalia
Character Notes:
History:
There was a time when Prussia wasn’t Prussia. More specifically, he got his start as a confederation of Catholic soldiers called the Teutonic Knights. Back in these days, he hung out with Hungary. Well, and tried to invade Russia only to get defeated by an icy lake, but the former’s more important. Hanging out with Hungary typically involved being rivals with her. Scoping out weaknesses, fighting, stuff like that. He also was around when she figured out she was actually a she and not a he, which was awkward and traumatic for all involved. He still went around causing fights, lots of them, and one day picked a fight with Poland over the whole Catholic order thing.

It didn’t go well for what would soon be Prussia. He lost because Lithuania showed up and kicked his ass. In the long aftermath and one protestant revolution later, Prussia formed officially. Prussia still wasn’t a particularly powerful or united country, but that all changed when Frederick the Great showed up. Almost everything that makes Prussia Prussia, he got from him, from the militaristic streak to the cunning to the work ethic. He picked a fight with Austria over Silesia, in the process kicking off the War of Austrian Succession and proving an effective trial run for Prussia’s tactics in the future. They won battle after battle, holding onto most of the territories, and when the Seven Years War rolled around at about the same time, they kicked plenty of ass and took quite a few names. Long story short? Frederick the Great set the standard Prussia holds himself to, to the point that Prussia calls his former boss Old Fritz.

In 1871, Prussia pushed France until France declared war on him (sensing a pattern here), won that war, and united all the lands around Prussia in the holy duty of kicking ass. They kicked so much ass that they stayed united and formed Germany. Prussia ended up teaching Germany pretty much everything he knows, treating him like a little brother. They worked hard together, but then they ended up on the losing end of World War I, which dovetailed into the nightmare that was World War II. Somewhere in the Post World War II shuffle, Prussia got dissolved and turned into East Germany, a subsidy of Russia. Ever since, Prussia’s been seven kinds of pissed off at Russia, and it took a lot of help from his brother to chill out.

In 1989, the two halves of Germany came back together, but that sort of left Prussia in a bit of a pickle. With East Germany gone, there isn’t all that much holding Prussia’s identity together. Until (and even that’s a big if) he disappears, though, he’s crashing in Germany’s basement and raising his usual levels of hell.

Personality:

Prussia is, at almost all times, a gigantic loud mouth. No, really. His laugh is loud, the chick that he keeps with him is loud, his entire attitude from head to toe is loud, and he makes absolutely zero apologies for this. He’s a nation founded entirely by dudes, and army dudes at that, so the three things he loves most are eating, sleeping, and fighting. His fourth favorite thing is, of course, proving how awesome he is. This often overlaps with fighting. He loves to pick fights, and if he’s not picking the fight, you can be very sure he’s got a dog in it. He’s boisterous and braggy if he wins, and he’s even more intolerable when he loses. Even minor losses and setbacks are met with an increase in claims of awesomeness. He writes in his diary every day, and almost every entry begins with a variation of ‘I was awesome today’.

Of course, there is no way that anyone can be half as awesome as Prussia claims he is, even Prussia himself. Almost all his attempts at conquering people don’t work out, and if they do, they don’t work out for long. That’s the least of his problems with others. His gigantic ego is at best obnoxious. At worst, it’s intolerable. He spends almost all his time freeloading off Germany in his basement, these days. Prussia also doesn’t have as high as a success record as his ego would like. Continuing along the fail train, he also has a fondness for cute things, especially his chick, Gilbird. He also spends a lot of time torpedoing other people’s relationships when he’s bored, and overall tends to act like a gigantic troll. The internet kind, not the actual ones.

Most of the reason he torpedoes his other people’s relationships is that he’s really very lonely. As much as he hates to admit it, and boy does he hate to admit it, Prussia has an emotional core. Not all those emotions are awesome. In fact, most of them aren’t. So, in order to prevent anyone finding out about how lonely he is, he tends to overstate and overemphasize and over-everything exactly how awesome he is. Or, putting it bluntly? He lapses into denial. Continuing along the emotions theme, he values his former boss Old Fritz to an incredible degree. Nothing seems to bring him down more than feeling like he let his mentor down. Along the same lines, he does care a great deal for his friends. That goes double for Germany, who’s something along the lines of his little brother.

Prussia actually is sort of awesome, if not for the things he claims he’s awesome for. Yes, he’s a loudmouth, jerkass, obnoxious brat, but he’s all of those things and *still alive*. Prussia is a very determined sort, and doesn’t give up no matter what’s happening to him. He built himself up from literally nothing more than an order of knights to become one of the most powerful nations in Europe, and he did it with cunning and almost entirely by himself. Even now, he manages to still exist. Sure, it’s in Germany’s basement, but he’s still here and that’s the very important thing. Speaking of that cunning, it turns out that Prussia is a very methodical, careful planner, and a bit more serious than he generally lets on. He keeps all his diary entries for blackmail that won’t actually go anywhere, after all. He writes in it every single day, which shows his diligence. He also has the same problem that Germany has: sometimes he obeys his bosses too much.

Also, for how big a game he talks and all the drinking he supposedly does? Those knights were Catholic. When he sees Hungary’s chest after an injury, he can’t even look at her and gets a pair of blush stickers for the rest of the scene. Just putting that out there.

Other: He’s being taken from Modern Times.

First Person (entry type):
22 June, 2012

I was awesome today! Someone should give me medals in awesomeness, but if they did, they’d run out of gold before they got through all of mine. There’s a huge meeting going down in Mexico right now. Pretty much everyone who matters is stuck drowning in paperwork right now, while I get to lurk around the hotel and snoop on everyone’s shit. It’s not like I got kicked out or they forgot about me or West left me there! I don’t need those losers for anything! I’m so awesome it hurts! Spain’s still looking kind of sick, though. Then again, everyone is. I think I even saw West sneeze the other day, but you didn’t hear it from me. Oh! And another thing! France is still striking about his elections. Or something. He’s always striking about something. The socialists won both of them, I bet anything America’s flipping his shit about it.

See? Keep me in a hotel room all they like and I’ll still be more awesome than all of them combined.

Third Person:

The best thing about not being a nation anymore is nobody cares where he goes. Alright, West does, but West always keeps track of things like that. And sure, sometimes Spain and France stop in for awhile, but that’s not the point. By and large, nobody cares where he goes or what he does. Big mistake. One day he’ll make them sorry the way he used to, but today’s probably not that day. And honestly, today he’s happy nobody cares where he goes, because if they tried to follow him he’d punch them in the throat.

He’s walking in Potsdam. There’s so many schools here, sometimes even he loses track. People love to think that just because he can kick their ass before they can blink that somehow that makes him stupid. Well, fine, they can go ahead and think that. He doesn’t care what they think. How do they think he won so many wars? Got lucky? Please. There’s more to war than just swinging a sword around and charging. He knows that, and he’ll keep on knowing that, and they can suck it because they don’t know it.

It’s August, and the parks are scorching. There’s people in them, probably tourists, maybe officials. He doesn’t pay them any mind, because he’s on a whole other level than them. He’s got cornflowers in his cap. West’s flowers, technically, nowadays. They’re the right color blue, his color blue, and that makes it worth the possibility of being seen with them. He finds the place in the vineyards, almost unmarked and almost overlooked entirely if nobody knew any better. He knows better. Always has, always will.

He leaves the flowers on the stone overheating in the sun. “Still watching over me, yeah?” He says it in German, just to show him.

Current Characters: None

Character: Issei Ryudo
Fandom: Fate/stay night
Character Notes:
History: History, what history? Well, there's all this stuff about magi and a holy grail and heroic spirits going on in the background, but none of that is remotely relevant to Issei!

Things that are relevant to Issei: he was born as the son of the owner of Ryudoji Temple in Fuyuki, Japan. He has every intention of becoming a monk; in the meantime, he's the student council president at his high school. Most of his time in canon is spent worrying over his best friend, Shirou Emiya; we hear from him that he's very popular with girls in the school, but luckily for Issei's dignity, we never see that onscreen.

There are a few tidbits of history we get - he has considered one of the teachers who lives in his temple with him a brother for three years, and his hated rival Rin Tohsaka (he considers her a rival, she barely notices him) used to be in the same student council with him. But most of his role is to provide exposition, bring out defining character traits in others, and freak out that one time it looked like he might be a significant character with relevance to the plot and Shirou told him to strip. (It made complete sense at the time to Shirou, but from Issei's perspective, it was his best friend ordering him randomly in the middle of lunch to take off his clothes, and then doing it by force. And then acting like nothing at all happened later. What even was going on there.)

Did I mention he was a minor character?

Personality: Normally, Issei presents a fairly calm and responsible front. He works diligently as student council president, grumbling good-naturedly about his fellow council members who don't work as hard as him. His friends don't remember him ever missing a class. He drinks tea in the morning, reads poetry, follows his family's heritage as monks (even going so far as to want to shave his head after graduation), and generally is a well-behaved, polite young man.

A few things raise his ire, and when they do, he gets well and truly pissed off. His rival Rin, for example, has earned his enmity for manipulating the entire school into believing her false 'perfect student' impression. He won't hesitate on taking a chance to keep people away from her, or to strike at her if there's an opportunity... unfortunately, she always has the upper hand.

An issue more important to him is the matter of friendship. He only seems to have one real friend, Shirou, but he treats him warmly and with great care. He's always looking out for Shirou, warning him away from dangers like Rin and being taken advantage of for being too much of a doormat. When Shirou misses just one day of school, Issei arrives at his home bearing fruit for the supposed sick student. Issei is always blushing at him and places a great deal of weight in his opinion and happiness.

While Issei tends to be shy and cold towards people he doesn't like, and he's a little more wary around women due to his teachings, particularly beautiful women can break through that. Caster he speaks well of, and Saber he trusts instinctively despite her being in Shirou's home (a massive problem for overprotective Issei).

He's also a dork who can quote poetry and may or may not have a system for working out where to eat school lunch based on if he coughs in the morning. And he's extraordinarily tactile, often grabbing onto Shirou without warning.

Finally, he doesn't believe that normal people should get involved in things above their heads, and he's a normal person.
Other: There will be some resets, but by and large I'll be playing him with his CR and development intact.

First Person (entry type): Contrary to popular opinion, I actually like the community.

All right, it's true that I hate it for much of the time. Viruses. Romantic viruses. When it has every intention of ruining my life, then I hate it as much as any of you do, and well I should.

However, it's much easier than getting normal friends. I do have some, mostly monks... But even they hardly count as normal now, do they? When they could be affected by any virus that hits me, and they know it, it's not fair to call them average people.

...Hm. I wonder if it's moral to bring average people into your inner circle and subject them to this. What do you think?

Third Person: Issei was ticked off. Not only that, but he was mad.

This was the immediate problem. Buddhism was not generally encouraging of getting mad. It served no purpose whatsoever, and was a poison to the self.

After he calmed down as best he could, however, the fact remained that there were muddy footprints all over the temple floor.

How childish. How rude. No monk would possibly do such a thing. Who could have forgotten to switch their shoes, and in a holy place to boot (no pun intended)?

"It is natural for the immature to harm others. Getting angry with them is like resenting a fire for burning." Obviously he was dealing with someone who didn't even know how to be polite, so he had no reason to stew.

Still, Issei had to correct this immediately, or who knew how many floors might be ruined. It was time to seriously investigate matters among the friends of his who might drop by unexpectedly.

To the internet.

Character: Dr Herman Einstein
Fandom: Arsenic & Old Lace (film version)

Character Notes:
History:
The main story of Arsenic and Old Lace centres around Mortimer Brewster and his two aunts, who happen to be murdering old men as a 'charity' - thinking they are putting lonely old souls out of their misery. The film is a black comedy and much is played for laughs. An even darker twist, though, involves the appearance of Mortimer's brother Jonathan - a notorious criminal and murderer. With him, Jonathan brings his 'sidekick' Dr Herman Einstein, who is a plastic surgeon and alcoholic, about forty years old. Einstein has operated numerous times on Jonathan to change his appearance in hopes of evading the police. Not much is know about Dr Einstein prior to this although he claims to have studied officially at Heidelberg to prove his is a legitimate surgeon and doctor but his qualifications are debatable. He and Jonathan have travelled around together with Einstein being witness or directly involved with aiding Jonathan on his killing spree. The doctor does seem to find this violence distasteful but even so he goes along with much of Jonathan's wants, mostly out of fear for his own safety.

On the run from the police Jonathan and Dr Einstein seek shelter with Jonathan's aunts, Martha and Abby. Meanwhile Mortimer is there and has discovered that their aunts have about a dozen bodies buried in the basement. Jonathan compounds the problems by bringing along a dead body of his own, not realising what the old ladies have been doing. Along the way Jonathan plans to do away with Mortimer, with help from Dr Einstein but the plans are foiled by an unwitting policeman. Eventually Jonathan is caught and hauled away but Mortimer ends up letting Dr Einstein go free after getting him to sign over the other crazy relatives as a certified doctor.

Personality:
Dr Einstein is a jittery man, rather nervous and jumpy especially when he hasn't had a drink. Despite his sinister dealings with people like multiple killer Jonathan Brewster, Einstein isn't such a hardened criminal or psychopath. He's reluctant and he urges Jonathan to do it the 'quick way' when Mortimer is under threat by his brother, who prefers to torture and kill him slowly. Einstein is often craving alcohol and is often mentioned to be intoxicated - such as when he performed surgery to make Jonathan's face look like Boris Karloff - after having seen the actor in a film. He is rather quiet otherwise but earnest at times. Occasionally doing the right thing by trying to warn Mortimer of Jonathan's plan to kill him. But he can also be amused by the macabre such as when he finds out that the aunts have murdered about the same number of people as Jonathan. He's very grateful to save his own skin and will quickly flee from or avoid danger if he can, such as when he slips away near the end of the story, after being so close to being caught by the police. He appears to be adaptable in the way he goes along with people - having to pretend to go along with other brother Teddy's crazy antics and fluidly goes along with things both good and bad as long as he himself is safe.

Other: He's soft spoken with a German accent.

First Person (entry type):

[There appears a fidgeting man on the screen. His glance to camera is furtive and fleeting and he's speaking in a breathless whispering way as if he's either been running and is out of breath or he's trying to hide from someone.]

I don't know vhat you vant me to tell you but you do vant me to say something, ja? Look, me and Chonny are... Something has to happen. His face. It needs to be changed again and I don't know vhy I am telling you this but you might be able to help. You might know of some quiet out of the way place we can lay low and... hide out. Ja, hideout.

[He nervously rubs his temple and utters a shaky laugh.]

Not that we've done anything wrong. Ve just... need a change. Ja. A change is needed. A change of scenery. Some space to think and plan and...

[More fidgeting as he looks around and mutters to himself.]

I need a drink...

Third Person:
Dr Herman Einstein was sitting alone in a hotel room.

Sometimes he hated to be left alone like this - even if it did mean that Jonathan was outside and away from him. The man made him nervous but they had been in a strange kind of partnership for over five years and leaving now was somehow more dangerous than sticking around. He thought about what Jonathan may be doing right now... and the images that immediately sprung to mind made him blanche and jump up from his chair, searching for a bottle.

"Now where did he put it...," he next swore quietly in German under his breath as he opened cupbopard after cupboard, his search becoming more frantic until he spied a green bottle, half full of some liquid. Einstein breathed out a loud sigh of relief and hugged the bottle to him as if it was a long lost baby.

Seeming calmer now, he sat down again and began pouring himself a drink when a sudden knock on the door made him startle and spill it. His expression was forlorn toward the spillage before he sighed resignedly and got to his feet reluctantly, moving toward the door.

Current Characters: Misumi Nagisa, Midorikawa Retasu, Kirishima Kano, Jade Harley

Character: Frankie Stein
Fandom: Monster High

Character Notes:

History: There... isn't really much to say here, for the simple reason that Frankie really hasn't been alive (or undead, or whatever she is) for very long. In fact, when the series begins, she's only been alive for fifteen days. She was sewn together out of bodies by her father, a scientist well-known in the monster community as Dr. Frankenstein, though he goes by just Stein normally. (Circumstances are kind of vague as to why, although they have mentioned being afraid of angry human villagers -- human-monster relations are fairly strained -- and that they've had to move a lot. At the very least, the local monster community knows who he is.) Frankie's mind is well-developed for somebody who just started existing, yet she's incredibly naive, a fact that carries through to everything else that happens in her life after this.

She starts school at Monster High, the (uncreatively-named) first school to integrate all monster races, as opposed to the various all-vampire, all-werewolf, etc. schools in the area. She makes friends quickly with an assortment of people from school, who, over time, start to form a group. Season one is a gag-a-day series with very little in the way of important events, so there isn't much to say about it. I'll be taking her right from the start of season two, where the actual plot starts up and they pay attention to continuity.

The main arc of the second season is the reformation and struggles of the Fear Squad. (Cheerleading squad. The MH universe is stuffed with bad horror puns.) After Cleo, the captain of the Fear Squad, works everyone too hard to satisfy her perfectionist tendencies, the entire Fear Squad quits but Frankie, and while Cleo BSODs, Frankie goes to recruit a bunch of her friends to reform the squad. Though they have trouble dealing with Cleo's ego, they actually start to perform well, and they eventually get a shot to go to fear camp at Gloom Beach to be able to move on to Monster Mashionals. However, they also have to deal with Toralei Stripe, a weretiger who quit the squad and is now jealous of their success. After Cleo turns down her request to rejoin, citing that the squad doesn't need fairweather members, Toralei seeks revenge and tries to sabotage the ghouls -- I mean, girls -- in any way possible.

In a few of these schemes, she takes advantage of Frankie's naivete and willingness to forgive, and thus Frankie ends up learning to be a little more wary of people's intentions, at least if they're obviously evil. This is balanced out when she meets and is immediately suspicious of Spectra (for spreading sensationalist gossip -- she didn't actually mean harm, that's just what she does), Abbey (for being outwardly cold and for throwing snow -- she was framed by Toralei for the snow and her culture back home doesn't put a lot of stock in showing emotion), and Operetta (for apparently stealing Deuce from Cleo and/or stealing Clawd from Draculaura -- Cleo jumps to conclusions and Spectra spreads too many rumours). Once Frankie learns the truth, all three become her friends.

Frankie also has a subplot running through the season, where she meets a transfer student named Jackson, the first human student in the school. He gets picked on a lot, but Frankie doesn't see the problem with being human -- or anything, really. The only problem is one that Draculaura mentioned when she had a thing for Jackson; he always seems to back out on plans. Meanwhile, Frankie meets another guy who gets on her nerves at first -- Holt Hyde, who always seems to be there when Jackson isn't. However, as it turns out, Jackson and Holt are the same person, a result of an experiment their grandfather performed on himself before their mother was born. Since she loves both of them and they can't stand each other even from reputation, Frankie takes it upon herself to mediate between the two of them, recording them on her iCoffin and triggering the transformation so they can actually talk to each other. They eventually come to an understanding with her help, though they still drive each other crazy wondering what the other did last night.

In the end of season two, Frankie and the Fear Squad are forced to deal with Cleo's older sister, Nefera, coming back to be their new faculty advisor. Nefera is an absolute terror to deal with and eventually takes the excuse to cut the entire team and name Toralei and her sidekicks the new Fear Squad. After Frankie picks Cleo up out of her slump, the girls reform as the B-squad, and when Nefera posts guards anywhere that they could possibly go to prevent them from practicing, Operetta -- as an apology to Cleo -- leads them into the labyrinth in the catacombs under the school and lets them practice while she plays the organ. They enter Mashionals with some pull from their old coach at Gloom Beach and the competition gets down to the Monster High A-squad versus the B-squad. Nefera, furious, takes out a collection of cursed items from her family's tomb and uses them on the B-squad during their performance, but all of their friends in the audience use their own powers to neutralize them. When it gets down to the last one, Toralei and her hangers-on block it, stating that they never agreed to cheating and that they wanted to win cleanly this time -- a contrast from Gloom Beach, when cheating was all they'd do. The B-squad wins the trophy and becomes the school's official fearleading squad again, while Nefera ragequits and goes back to trying to salvage her modelling career.

Then comes Fright On!, one of the TV specials. In an attempt to further integrate the monster community, the population of a vampire school and a werewolf school are both added to Monster High's, and a human researcher named van Helscream becomes the school's administrator, painting himself as a peacemaker who wants to bring all monsters and humans together. Frankie gets her friends together to help make the feuding vampires and werewolves get along, but when it works, van Helscream panics. He turns the headmistress into a statue and passes his assistant, Ms. Crabgrass, off as the real headmistress, dissolves Frankie's welcoming committee, and plants seeds of xenophobia in the curriculum.

Frankie and Abbey figure out his plan and cure the real headmistress, but van Helscream is a step ahead of them and throws them all in a death trap, as well as Frankie's good friend Draculaura, framing the werewolves for her disappearance, and their other friend Clawdeen's younger sister Howleen, similarly framing the vampires. However, the death trap is hopelessly ancient and Abbey's ice powers and super strength break them out, and they escape with Operetta showing up to guide them out of the labyrinth. Frankie exposes the truth and everybody is able to join together; van Helscream says that, if monsters keep hating each other, humans won't be in danger, but Frankie and her friends assert that nobody has to hate anybody for what they are. Administrator van Helscream and Ms. Crabgrass are turned into statues by Deuce and put into the courtyard.

Season three goes back to joke-a-day, with the increased number of TV specials advancing the plot. Frankie continues to meet a number of new friends, but despite being the main character, her biggest role in this portion of canon is offering advice to others, like Jackson, Venus, and Abbey. She doesn't do much in the special Why do Ghouls Fall in Love, save for coming up with a few ideas to get her friends back to normal after Cupid's daughter misses when she tries to get Clawd and Draculaura back together.

In Escape from Skull Shores, another special, she and her friends all go overseas to meet Lagoona's family in Australia, but the ship is attacked by a kraken and they wash up on an uncharted island. They're taken in by a dishonest carnie, Farnum, who uses Frankie as bait to capture a supposed horrible beast feared by the island natives; the monster in question is a nice guy and Frankie just happens to look like a scientist who once visited the island and befriended him, hence her resemblance to all the statues around the island. Everyone turns on Farnum and they're about to escape, but Farnum turns a magnet on Frankie and blackmails Andy/the Beast to come with him. They're eventually saved and they run back home, integrating Andy into the school, but Farnum follows them and tries to get him back by infiltrating the school as a guest speaker. He almost gets Andy back to use in his freak show, despite Frankie's best efforts. In the end, though, Farnum's assistant turns on him, revealing himself to be a deformed human, and Farnum is thrown into a tar pit, emerging only to be covered in feathers and captured by the human monster hunters he called himself to catch Andy.

The canon is still ongoing, but this is all that's happened so far!

Personality: Frankie is characterized as being sweet, clueless, and incredibly naive. She tends to make assumptions about the world that may or may not be true, and she thinks every little thing is either incredibly exciting (ice cream = food of the gods) or the end of the world (crying = are my eyes broken?). This makes a lot of sense, all things considered; she starts canon only a few days old, and she quickly realizes that being "the new girl" is more trouble than it's worth. At the current point in canon, she's now just under a year old, and people are starting to be less forgiving of her not knowing everything she probably should. This pushes her to wish she were new again, rather than "the not-so-new-anymore girl".

Frankie is very curious about the world, but she generally takes people's explanations at face value. She once worked a charity fundraising table at school without even knowing what it was for ("uh... a good cause...?"), just because she was told that getting involved in extracurriculars was a good thing. This can very easily get her stuck when other people look deeper into things she just took for granted, and it can and does get her into trouble when people take advantage of her naivete. She even expects the best out of known enemies who have done nothing but ruin things for her and her friends and have absolutely no reason to be nice to her.

This, though, can be a good thing as much as it is a bad thing. Frankie believing the best about people does cause problems, but sometimes she does have a point -- and sometimes her clueless optimism sees things that nobody else does. Although Frankie is childish and very concerned with fitting in, enough that she's made things up on the spot to try and convince people that she's "cool" or "normal" (though it never, ever ends well), her acting like herself has actually started to change how everybody else thinks.

Frankie is good-natured and enthusiastic, though her cluelessness and clumsiness can do more harm than good. The school has had to hire a second janitor just to clean up her messes and she's officially banned from swimming ever since the electricity running through her fried the pool. She fangirls boy bands and pop stars, and she could be called boy-crazy, but then, she is nearly sixteen (physically and mentally, in any case). Frankie often reads teen magazines for life advice, even though it's all pretty terrible and tends to lead to her embarrassing herself. She really loves her family, even if they don't make a lot of sense to her, and she's dedicated to the Fear Squad even though she's not the best cheerleader in the world (comes with having your limbs stitched on).
Other: A while ago, we used to have a Lala, the version of Draculaura from the book canon. I'm playing Frankie from a separate continuity; she's from the web show, which has a wholly different plot and focus. So yeah.

First Person (entry type):

So I... kind of have a liiiiiiiittle bit of a problem, guys and ghouls. What do you do when you... oh, it's complicated. Say you like... say you like two boys. But they're totally different and they don't like each other very much. One's always loud and quiet people burn him up, and one hides in the background and doesn't like people who make a lot of noise. And I can't even get them to talk to one another! I mean, not just "can't because they don't want to", more like "can't because they don't want to and because one actually transforms into the other when he hears loud music, and if they're the same person then I obviously can't get them into a room together".

I'm thinking of just recording them on my iCoffin, but then the problem is getting them to listen. Maybe I should just corner him at the maim entrance at school tomorrow... Or he's always at the maul, maybe he'll be there when everyone meets at the Coffin Bean! ...ugh, I suck at this. Help?

Third Person:

As Frankie looked around the dance hall, the metal bolts on either side of her neck started to spark and crackle. She turned her eyes up, lightly bopping herself on the head so they'd both look in the same direction. The community had really gone all out. There were decorations everywhere! Well, sort of weird-looking decorations. The lights along the wall were shaped like ducks -- she'd have expected skulls -- and the streamers didn't even look tattered. There was even a big fondue fountain that had -- something. That wasn't slime. Was it chocolate? She cautiously took a strawberry and dipped it into the strange substance, then popped it into her mouth. It was chocolate! It definitely tasted good. She hadn't had anything like this before. Well, not that she'd had as much experience with life as anyone else.

"Scarylicious," she commented, giving a wide smile to everyone else around the fondue fountain. "I've never been to a community party before! Are they all this fun? Because this is pretty voltage on its own. The food is--" She paused and scratched her head. "Hey, how come none of the food is moving? Is there a reason none of it has eyes?"

Character: David
Fandom: Prometheus
Character Notes:
History:
David is one of the eighth generation of TIPE androids, developed by Weyland Industries. David himself appears to have been the personal android of Peter Weyland, the head of Weyland Industries. Weyland describes David as the closest thing he has to a son (though lacking a soul), and when Weyland is present David is seen to give him personal care as part of an established routine. It is also implied that David has something of a...strained relationship with Weyland's actual child, Meredith Vickers.

When Drs. Shaw and Holloway, a pair of archaeologists, discover cave paintings around the world pointing to a specific cluster of stars which prove to have a planet with a moon with earth-like conditions, Weyland agrees to fund a trip to that moon (and secretly comes along himself, in stasis). David is also sent on board the exploratory ship Prometheus, and during its journey takes care of the ship and its occupants while the humans are in stasis.

And now come the spoilers for the movie.

Upon arrival, David wakes the human members of the crew up. It does not take them long to find what appear to be unnatural structures. A team of several crew members, including David, suit up and begin to explore the nearest building. David, having spent much of the journey studying languages and linguistics, easily deciphers the writing on the walls inside, but does not fully share his ability to do this with the others. They eventually find a the body of a humanoid alien and a chamber containing sculptures and a host of metal cylinders. While the humans examine the room and its decorations, David studies the cylinders, and notices when they start to bleed a black liquid. Unbeknownst to the others, David takes one of the cylinders back to the ship, where he privately studies it. He discovers vials of the black liquid inside, and later spikes Holloway's champagne with a drop of it.

Meanwhile, back in the alien building, guys who got lost earlier get killed by pale fleshy snakes with vaginas for mouths.

David is implied to be receiving continuing orders from Weyland, in spite of the fact that Weyland is still in stasis. While the rest of the crew explore the building again, David is sent to investigate why one probe is intermittently indicating that there is a life form in one area, and probably fix the probe. After bypassing several doors David discovers what appears to be the bridge of a ship, and (after cutting off video feed to Vickers) determines that its last course was set for earth and one of the humanoid aliens is still alive in stasis.

Everyone heads back to the ship, because it turns out that Holloway is seriously ill. Vickers threatens to burn Holloway with a flamethrower if he tries to set foot on the ship and risk contaminating people. Holloway deliberately provokes Vickers into actually burning him to death. Oops.

Back on the ship, David gives Shaw a medical exam, and it turns out that thanks to Holloway's infection she is now pregnant with an alien mutant terror. David refuses to comply with her demands to get the thing out of her, instead trying to subdue her so she can be placed in stasis and brought back to Earth (for proper study). David goes to help bring Weyland out of stasis. In the meantime, Shaw finds a way to get the alien mutant terror out of her, and ends up meeting up with Weyland and David.

Meanwhile, the mutated body of one of the lost guys from earlier attacks and kills a few people before he's taken out.

Weyland, Shaw, David, and some guy who's just going to die anyway go back to the bridge of the ship inside the building and wake the alien from stasis. David speaks to it. In a show of terrible manners, it responds by tearing David's head off his body, and killing Weyland and that other guy. Shaw escapes. David, being a robot and significantly less inhibited by decapitation than humans would be, informs the others that the alien intends to take that black liquid to earth. The remaining crew of the Prometheus crash into the alien's ship, preventing it from unleashing abominations on earth. Also Vickers gets crushed.

Shaw makes it to the escape pod which had been ejected from the Prometheus, pursued by the alien which apparently survived its ship's crash. Inside, it turns out the alien mutant terror Shaw had removed from herself has grown substantially. Shaw lets the mutant terror attack the alien and escapes herself. David informs Shaw that he can help her activate another of the alien ships. Shaw gathers up David's head and body and the two set off, Shaw determined to find out why the aliens started wanting to destroy humanity.

I'd be taking David from around a year into the Prometheus's voyage, long before they reach their destination.

Personality:
It's a little difficult to tell to what extent David is as he was made, and to what extent he has evolved. Certainly, he is capable of more feeling (and deception) than his human crewmates believe. But he remains confounded by many human emotional impulses- such as the need to know why another did something.

David is fundamentally curious. He seeks to acquire knowledge and skills, even when left to his own devices. He appears to enjoy challenges, creating diversions for himself such as shooting baskets while riding around the basketball court on a bicycle. When in pursuit of knowledge, following an order, or both, he is perfectly capable of going to extremes that humans may find...distressing (such as just letting an alien mutant terror gestate inside someone). He also lacks a human sense of boundaries, finding it perfectly acceptable to watch someone's dreams to learn about them (and humanity in general). David is a somewhat atypical fictional android in that he takes a great deal of initiative. This is probably related to the fact that he does not appear to be at all three-laws compliant (after all, if one of the purposes of your androids is to do things which humans may find ethically objectionable, it would be counterproductive to limit them so). He acts on his own or ignores orders from humans other than Weyland, doing things such as activating the holograms in the alien building by tracing the writing before he told anyone he could read it, or singling out the black liquid for his own study (though one assumes he later informed Weyland of it). He is, of course, immensely intelligent, capable of storing vast amounts of information and determining patterns incredibly swiftly.

Still, he is aware of himself as basically "lacking." While Weyland has acted as a father to David, it's evident that Weyland has made it clear to David that David is less than human (Weyland does not believe an android could have a soul). David's relationship with humans is thus contradictory and strained. He knows that he is more intelligent, more durable, and capable of more than any human, and he looks down on humans somewhat because of that. When humans seem to look down on or underestimate him, he can respond by seeming to be as they suggest while advancing his own agenda (for example- Holloway doubts David's ability to read the alien script- and David takes advantage of the time that affords to open a door in spite of others wanting to be more cautious). He seems to find it too easy to deal with humans, and would like to meet individuals who are more his equals. Yet he is terribly devoted to Weyland, and fascinated by some aspects of human behavior. His obsession with Lawrence of Arabia apparently stems from this- it's a film Weyland loves, and David probably started watching it out of a desire to better understand his "father." As much as he wants to meet his equals, David also wants to be approved of by humans, and to understand them.

Of course, he would say that he isn't capable of "wanting" something. While that's not entirely accurate, there is a certain truth in his denial of emotional capacity. David looks at situations as a collection of facts. If someone attacks him, the important thing is to adjust to this information- the "why" of the attack is irrelevant information. He sees no problem causing someone harm and then offering them aid a few hours later if the situation changes and makes it more to his benefit to do so. He doesn't really understand how emotional consequences work, for all that he's capable of presenting logical arguments.

meet David

First Person (entry type):
Sir,

Today is the 94th day of the Prometheus' journey, October 15th, 2091 A.D. I have continued in my lessons, and have completed my study of Gaelic since my last report. While if Doctor Holloway's theory is correct, we are most likely to encounter a language with some commonalities with early Indo-European languages, I have nonetheless mastered the earliest known Chinese script, jiǎgǔwén. I shall progress to later forms of the script and spoken dialects shortly.

The journey continues without incident and on course, with no indicators of inconveniences arising within the next 46 hours and 28 minutes. The crew sleep well. They dream.

I will continue to keep you appraised of developments.

Third Person:
Humans had so much faith. Faith in themselves, in their abilities, in each other, in "God." It was everywhere.

Take Dr. Shaw- an educated woman, a relatively accomplished archaeologist. But a woman of faith, nonetheless. It was in her background, of course, as she was the daughter of missionaries. But it struck David that the logical reaction to her father's death would have been to conclude that there was no benevolent power. Ebola was such a violent disease, humans always seemed to find it disquieting. Yet Dr. Shaw had not only continued to to believe, but had searched for that power. She believed she had found it, and that it had invited her. That was the word she insisted on- "invitation." A word the definition of which included "allurement."

Even if there were creators at their destination- would they have invited their creations? It was unlikely. David was asked by his creators to do many things, he was ordered to do even more. But he was not "invited." Creators were too preoccupied with their own questions to pay heed to that of their creations. David would have advised against meeting their maker. It was an unremarkable experience.

But his role was not to advise. He had confirmed that the crew was safe and healthy. His present task complete, he disengaged from the system monitoring Dr. Shaw.

Character: Daiki Kaitou
Fandom: Kamen Rider Decade
Character Notes:
History: Daiki hails from the series Kamen Rider Decade, and plays the part of the secondary Rider, alongside Yusuke Onodera aka Kamen Rider Kuuga. Kaitou lived on a world formally known as DiEnd World, and it was here that he was a willing part of Fourteen's plan to take over the world, and make it a better place. Being a cop and enforcer of Fourteen's will, he worked tirelessly to make the world better, and defeat the Kamen Riders that were threatening the peace. However when he discovered the truth that Fourteen was not using his re-education process and instead injecting people with nanotechnology to overwrite their basic personalities and make them loyal to his will, he fled.

Somewhere in this period of time, he happened upon the ranks of Dai Shocker, and managed to steal the DiEnd Driver which was one of the two treasures of the world that he had managed to flee to. Armed with it, and the new drive to obtain treasure in each and every world he came across, Kaitou sought to also protect them from being lost, being that there is a precious treasure for everyone in their worlds.

Making his way across the worlds, he also soon came across Tsukasa Kadoya who had lost his memory from his journey through the worlds. Encountering him informally in Blade World, he resumed the journey afterwards in the next world, Faiz. It was here that Kaitou stole the Decade Driver from Tsukasa, but was forced to save him when Narutaki tried to kill Tsukasa with Kiva.

Deciding he would make his journey on his own, he continued to steal things through many worlds, such as trying to turn Momotaros into DenLiner so he could steal it, and the three treasures of the Oni schools in Hibiki, although he wound up mentoring the young Asumo in Hibiki's World and learning a little bit about himself. He also participated in the battle in the past, as he summoned Riders for the Imagin to fight and later possess. It was in the last presumed world that he once again showed up, and fought the Dark Riders who were ruling that world and watched Tsukasa gain Decade Complete.

After that, Kaitou went ahead to the next few worlds, stealing various things such as the Ika Origami from the Shinkenger World, as well as summoning a second Kotarou Minami in Black RX's world. However they also came to DiEnd's World where they discovered that his brother had become Fourteen's willing servant, and after Tsukasa and Kaitou defeated Fourteen, Jun turned against them and tried to kill Kaitou, but couldn't.

After Amazon World where Kaitou tried to steal the Gigigi and Gagaga Bracelets, and succeeded for a short period of time, they came to Tsukasa's home world, where a great Rider Battle was fought. After deciding the strongest Rider was Tsukasa, Dai Shocker arose from the earth and Tsukasa took his place as Great Leader. It was here that Kaitou had infiltrated the group to learn of their plans, and then saved Narutaki and Natsumi from death when the Shocker Combatants chased them down. After being persuaded into gathering the remaining Riders, Kaitou went with a newly invigorated Tsukasa to face off against the rest of Dai Shocker, where after what seemed like a hopeless battle, was joined by the title Riders from Ichigo to Kiva. And the newly arrived W also helped as well, although Kaitou didn't see that. Instead, when King Dark appeared, he used his greatest treasure, Kamen Rider J and then used a Final Form Ride on Tsukasa to turn J into a giant Decade Complete. He was then a part of the final attack, and journeyed to the next world where the true Rider War was to begin.

It was here that Kaitou found himself fighting for his own needs, making sure that Tsukasa was his alone to fight. The Riders all joined together to defeat Tsukasa, and in the end, Kaitou had him at point blank range. But, he didn't shoot, as he left the battle. Since then, he's been watching the Rider War, hoping for a resolution when Tsukasa was slain by Natsumi. With effort, they resurrected Tsukasa, and went to fight the remnants of Dai Shocker who had become Super Shocker. With Super Shocker destroyed, they went on a journey together.

Sometime later, they revisited Den-O's world so that Kaitou could undo a mistake he made. Having stolen a golden jewelled gun from a young man, he also realized that he let a precious treasure be destroyed, so he set it up so that his younger self would be stopped seconds before both treasures were lost. His younger self got away with the gun but then G Den-O gave him the DiEnd Complete K-Touch so that they could defeat the artificial Imagin that had taken over G Den-O's powers. Returning to the Hikari Studio, he did manage to steal Ryotarou's mug from the DenLiner.

During 2012, Kaitou also participated in the Superhero War. Information for this event is lacking due to no English release.

Personality: At first glance, one can simply assume Kaitou Daiki is a treasure obsessed thief, one that would do anything to obtain treasure. As time goes on, it seems that he has more to him than a first impression would give. While obsessed with treasure and the obtaining of them, he will do anything to preserve treasures from being damaged or lost. Also his definition of treasure is broad, from a mothers love to friendship, things that are also unobtainable through physical means. But those things he steals physically are kept safe, and from prying eyes.

He can be easily fooled at times, especially playing into Tsukasa's half-hazard attempts at foisting off treasures onto him that he himself cannot use. He will cut and run from a battle when the going gets tough, preferring to attack from the shadows instead of fighting directly, although as a Rider he is capable of both of these things. His skill with finding objects lost is a valued one, especially in worlds where the typical has a much different definition than normal.

He values his brother and wishes to return him to the kind man he was before he served Fourteen, and considers family a irreplaceable treasure. In fact, this whole situation is what caused him to go on the treasure hunt, and obtain things from across the multiverse. He will not intentionally harm anyone unless it is to his benefit, and considers certain people in his world irreplaceable.

He values friendship despite outwardly not caring about it that much, and finds it a troublesome treasure that could be replaced by anything. However, it soon rapidly becomes apparent that Kaitou is lonely even by Rider standards, and will fight to preserve his own needs and wants. He has a tendency to taunt people when things go in his favour, and troll as much as possible, giving them little chance but to sputter as he gets away with whatever he's stolen.

Other: Kaitou is in possession of the DiEnd Driver, a weapon-device that allows him not only the ability to travel between worlds on a whim, but transform into Kamen Rider DiEnd. His skills are often put to the test as a thief, and he steals treasure from all points and periods of worlds and times depending on how much access he has to time travel or to other worlds and timeframes.

As DiEnd he can summon any of the secondary Riders from the first 9 Heisei Rider seasons, as well as use cards for Amazon and Black. He will usually steal and run however from a fight, since his whole skillset comes from fighting and running and stealing.

First Person (entry type):

How do you know, community if something's been stolen? Perhaps something that was locked down, hidden away, maybe even lost to time. How do you know that a treasure like that hasn't been taken already, by yours truly?

[And Kaitou makes a 'bang' motion with his thumb and index finger towards the surface of the DiEnd Driver.]

See you later, community. I've got a treasure to steal. [And perhaps the view would show your own place.]

Third Person:

Kaitou walked towards the group, DiEnd Driver in hand. "Know this, for before this day, and any other, I was a passing through Kamen Rider!"

Locking his card into his weapon, it proclaimed KAMENRIDE as he held it up over his head. "Henshin!" DIEND!

In a flash of light and a spread of 10 cards making a spiked crown, he threw himself into battle, kicking and punching and shooting at point blank range. "What you have to remember," he exclaimed as he ducked a strike and shot the enemy in the chest, "Is that you have the power to change all of this!"

More gunshots rang out as he fired into the enemies. "For that, you have to ask yourself, is it worth it? Is this my treasure?"

He fired more and locked a Kamenride Card into his weapon. "KAMENRIDE RAY!" And summoned Kamen Rider Ray. "It's really up to you."

Character: Peter Parker / Spiderman
Fandom: The Amazing Spiderman (2012 film)
Character Notes:
History:
The first few years of Peter Parker's life, aside from being born to science nerds with an apparent penchant for alliterative naming, were ostensibly quite normal. From the small glimpse into their family life that we are given, they seem to be a caring, normal family -- given that Peter and his father are in the midst of a game of hide-and-seek when we first encounter them. Things were good. Peter seemed to be a happy child. However, when he was still quite young (around 5 or 6) things changed. His father was involved in scientific research in the area of cross-species genetics. For reasons that Peter is yet to entirely understand, his father chose to hide some of his research from his employers. Unfortunately this created a dangerous situation.

After a break in, Peter's father and mother bring him hastily to his Uncle Ben and Aunt May. They leave their son in their relatives care. This is the last that Peter ever sees his parents -- to date.

For the next dozen years or so, Peter is raised by his Aunt and Uncle, and very little remarkable happens. He grows quite close to his Uncle Ben and his Aunt May, viewing them as his parents entirely. He leads a normal life, uneventful until he's 17. In high school, Peter isn't the most popular kid, but he seems to get by for the most part, despite being bullied a bit. He takes up photography and skateboarding and seems to have a talent for both. And of course, there's a pretty blonde girl who's caught his eye by the name of Gwen Stacy. Unsurprisingly, they eventually wind up dating.

Peter's normal, everyday life begins to unravel when he finds a briefcase that used to belong to his father. Hidden in the leather bag he finds the secret files and formulas that his father had been working on when Peter was just a child. He also finds a picture of his father with a former colleague, Dr. Curt Connors. With a bit of creativity, he sneaks in to meet Dr. Connors and explore the lab. Despite warnings from Gwen not to leave the tour group, Peter breaks off and somehow gets himself into secure areas. In particular, he lets himself into a room filled with genetically altered spiders. As if this wasn't stupid enough, he goes and touches something. Spiders start falling on him, which really, should bother him a little more than it does. But he mostly just twitches and brushes them off.

He gets out and refinds the tour group, but not before being bitten by one of the genetically altered spiders.

This is where his life starts to really get strange. The bite alters Peter's DNA and gives him abilities beyond the normal. He can suddenly cling to walls and ceilings with his bare hands. His strength and speed and reflexes all increase significantly, so much so that he breaks half his bathroom before he gets used to it.

He visits Dr. Connors again and shares with him parts of his father's research, allowing Dr. Connors to push his research from theory into practice. However, between his new found powers and all the scienc-ing that Peter is doing, things start to go a bit wrong. He bullies one of the boys at school who used to bully him, and his uncle scolds him for it. He also forgets to pick up his Aunt from work. This creates some friction between him and his Aunt and Uncle, and Peter storms out one night. This would be unremarkable, save for the fact that his Uncle followed him.

After having a confrontation at a convenience store with the clerk, Peter chooses not to step in and stop a robbery at that store. The robber runs into Peter's uncle and shoots him. Uncle Ben dies then and there, and Peter is guilt-ridden.

His guilt drives him on something of a revenge mission, and he begins acting like a vigilante -- but only going after criminals who meet the description of the man who shot his uncle. He develops the Spiderman costume and gets something of a reputation for being a vigilante. It's only after Gwen's father (a Captain on the police force) points out that Spiderman seems to have a personal vendetta that Peter starts to rethink this. He realizes he has the power he has and has something of a responsibility to use it.

When Dr. Connors uses the research Peter helped him with on himself and transforms into a giant rage-y lizard monster, Peter further feels more responsibility. Instead of searching for revenge, he realizes that he should use his abilities to help people. Peter also believes that part of why Dr. Connors became the Lizard is because of his actions.

Peter, as Spiderman, fights with and eventually defeats the Lizard and cures Dr. Connors of what the serum had done to him. In the process. Gwen's father, Captain Stacy is killed by the Lizard. Having found out that Spiderman is Peter, Captain Stacy makes Peter promise to stay away from Gwen so that she can be kept safe because being Spiderman, he will make enemies.

Peter continues his actions as Spiderman, though now his motivations are to protect the people who need it. His relationship with Gwen comes to an end because of the promise that he made to her father.

Personality:
Peter is, as his Aunt tells him, good. He seems to have a fairly strong sense of justice, stepping in to stop the bullying of one of his classmates, refusing to "snap a picture" as the bullies are goading him too. He stands up for this other boy and his own beliefs even if it gets him beaten up rather badly in the process. Peter is also fairly proud, in that he doesn't want to admit to his Aunt and Uncle that he was beat up, or that he has trouble with bullying at school. Later in the film, Peter's sense of responsibility has him risking his own life to save the lives of others. He has the ability, and in part thanks to the advice of his Uncle, he believes that he has a responsibility as well. He shows himself capable of being very selfless, willing to lay his life on the line if necessary to help others.

This is not to say that Peter is not without his flaws though. He has them -- a lot of them. It may be because of his parents leaving him, but there's a deep hurt and anger in him at the perceived abandonment. Peter very obviously cares about and is affected by his parents having left. When he finds his father's old briefcase, he studies each and every last item in it, finding his father's glasses and adopting them as his own. He misses his family, and even though he tells his uncle that he's a wonderful father, the fact that his own father and mother had to leave him does leave him with a void in his life and questions about why. In one case, he lashes out at his Uncle when he brings up his father and how like him Peter is. He also shows himself to be susceptible to bouts of vengeance -- from petty to somewhat more serious. He humiliates a classmate who previously bullied him and also after his Uncle's death makes it his personal mission to find the man who killed him. However, with a push in the right direction and a reminder of what he's doing, he also shows that he can overcome it. Peter is very much still a kid, but he's growing and maturing constantly, bit by bit.

He also lashes out on occasion at his Uncle and Aunt when they are genuinely trying to help him. He can be a bit broody and seems to have a little difficulty breaking out of the cycle. However, he also has people who are excellent influences on his life, and he is aware of who they are and takes guidance from them. Even after his Uncle has died, Peter keeps a voicemail that his Uncle left him and listens to it over and over again, to take guidance and comfort. He also seems to draw strength from his Aunt May and Gwen Stacy. He's close enough to his family that he takes what they say to heart, even if he is going through his own struggles and dealing with his own demons at the time. He eventually makes it up to his Aunt as well, and though he doesn't share all his secrets (specifically the whole alter ego crime fighter bit), it seems that things become less secretive and uncertain between them.

One of the really defining characteristics of Peter's personality is his sense of humor. He is very quick witted and quick on his feet. He tends to make jokes quickly and easily as well as often. This carries over both in his life as Peter Parker as well as his actions as Spiderman. He banters with other students. He banters with criminals. He's quick to smile and laugh for the most part. He's good at sarcasm, though sometimes it can come off a bit flippantly -- mostly when he's in one of his moodier states. Also it seems that a pretty face sometimes eliminates his ability to be very clever at all. His thorough failure at forming sentences when asking Gwen out is a fairly good demonstration of his shyness. Peter is something of an awkward, nerdy little thing without much experience in dating. He seems to be the more "admire from afar" type, with keeping a picture of Gwen on his computer, before he works up the nerve to ask her out.

Peter is also a very bright boy. Gwen says that he's "second" in his class, something that he actually questions -- as though he expected to be first. He reads through his father's research and seems to understand it quite easily. Beyond that, he manages to finagle the web-shooting devices that he uses as Spiderman. However, Peter's brain also gets him in trouble. For example, his participation in the research that Dr. Connors is conducting leads to the whole debacle with the Lizard -- though there's really no way that Peter could have foreseen that exactly, the fact that his father kept his research secret probably should have made him wonder why. In a less "destroying the city" sort of consequence, the fact that Peter is opinionated and has trouble keeping his thoughts on Spiderman to himself gets him in somewhat hot water with her father on their first meeting. It was not the most auspicious start, but later the two men seem to come to an understanding and mutual, if grudging, respect. Captain Stacy even says that the city needs Spiderman.

The duality of Peter's personality is really quite plain. He is both Peter Parker and Spiderman. At the core they are the same person, but being Spiderman allows him to explore parts of his personality he may otherwise have not been able to. In particular, he discovers strength -- both inner and outer. He also comes to find who he is, something of a big step for a boy with no parents who never really fit in all that well at school. He becomes a more complete person because of his Spiderman persona, even if it does involve quite a bit of sacrifice on his part.

Other: Peter has an alterego, of course. And powers beyond a normal human being. Beyond this, he's also an avid photographer, skateboarder and science nerd. I'll be taking him initially from very early movie, likely just after he's been bitten by the spider -- and before his Uncle is shot, so he'll have a bit of trouble controlling some of his strength and such. :) He'll progress through canon as time goes on. Third person sample is set further in the timeline. Hopefully that's all right.

This is a public service announcement. So please stay tuned. Adjust your volume. Everyone with me?

Great.

First. Yes. Photography is a hobby of mine. I do it for fun, sure. But it's sort of not cheap. And hey, if you're looking for a photographer I'll take your pictures. Not for free though. I've got costs to cover. Not to mention, hey, it's a service. Come on.

Second. No. I'm not taking sexy photos of you for your boyfriend. Or for your girlfriend. Get a webcam. Seriously. I'll link you to the page on Best Buy. They're cheap and then we don't have the most awkward time in the history of history. This is known as a Win-Win situation.

Third. ...I don't really have a third but lists are supposed to have at least three things. So... instead you get my thoughts on My Little Pony. I don't get it. At all. Talking pastel ponies. Too weird.

Oh hey! Four! Now we're really listing. I won't take pictures of you and your My Little Ponies. Again. Get a webcam.

Third Person:
Peter lay sprawled along the narrow ledge of stone that jutted from the building, its end finishing in a gargoyle's gruesome face. One leg dangled off the edge, arms behind his head as he glanced into the clouded sky, twilight progressing quickly towards full on evening. His mask was clutched in one hand, the bright red and blue uniform he still wore contrasting against the plain gray of the building. He probably ought to care more about being countless stories above the street below. But he didn't, whatever fear that may have once come with dizzying heights long gone. He liked it up here. It was quiet.

It gave him perspective. Literally. Metaphorically. Both at once. Really, he mused to himself with a sudden little flash of amusement, it was kind of impressive. Anyway, it beat staring at his bedroom ceiling and pondering the mysteries of the plaster. Mostly. The amusement was quick to fade though, as his somewhat heavier thoughts caught back up with him. Heavy thoughts defied gravity, he guessed. Climb as high as you can, and they still find you. And boy had they found him. A frown pulled over his features and he draped an arm over his eyes. Aunt May was worried. He knew she was.

And he couldn't say that he blamed her. After all, balancing his life and his nightlife as Spiderman made things a little difficult. He kept odd hours. He had unexplained injuries. And she wasn't a stupid woman. Still it wasn't like he could just tell her. For one thing, well, she wouldn't approve. At all.

Really, he could imagine that conversation. "Guess what, Aunt May. I've become a masked superhero in my spare time. Good news is I've become a spandex aficionado. Bad news is the health plan sucks. No dental." Yeah. That'd go over fantastic.

More seriously, the less she knew about Spiderman, the better in terms of her own safety. She was the only family he had left, and he had to make sure that nothing happened to her. He had to take care of her. But he couldn't give this up either, couldn't just let go of Spiderman, like he'd never existed to begin with. He couldn't. At first it may have been about getting back at his Uncle's murderer, but it was more than that now.

It had changed. Like he had changed. He couldn't pretend that he was the only one with problems, not when there were people in this city he could help. If he could, he owed it to them. He considered the voicemail left on his cellphone, the small snippet of his Uncle's voice that he clung to, as a reminder. That's right. Responsibility. At the very least, he couldn't let Uncle Ben down, not again.

"Maybe I should just get better at sneaking out..." He mused to himself, arm falling away from his eyes. Or he could get better at dodging blows and bullets. That'd help with the bruises anyway. Really, he could go for fewer injuries in general. Yeah. Good goal. He shook his head at himself, somewhat amused all over again. He'd put that one on his to-do list.

Without thinking about it, he rolled, dropping instantly off his narrow little perch. The air rushed to meet him as he fell, fresh and cool against his unmasked face. Better methods maybe involved not throwing himself off buildings with no regard for small matters like gravity or terminal velocity or anything. A movement of his hands and the weblauncher around his wrist fired, a shot that looped up quickly to catch another of the building's decorative gargoyles. His fall stopped abruptly as he swung away, gaze roaming over the streets below. Well. Time for another night's work.

Character Notes:
History: Sophie Hatter is the eldest of three daughters. In the land of Ingary, where she lives, it is thought that being the eldest of three is a great misfortune. However Sophie took this in stride. She loves both of her sisters dearly and cared for them growing up, often stop their arguments with each other. As the three grew older the time came for it to be decided what each girl would do with their lives. Martha, the youngest, was sent to learn from Miss Fairfax, a witch. Lettie would take on an apprenticeship at the local pastry shop. Lastly Sophie would stay at home and work in the family’s hat shop. Sophie knew the hat business quite well and certainly would not argue a job that suited her so well, despite feeling like she was simply resigned to it.

She continued on this way for quite some time until a fateful May Day when she decided to visit her sister Lettie at the pastry shop. Being a terribly shy and mousy girl, Sophie made the trip with much difficulty thanks to the crowds of the holiday. One her journey she was accosted by a beautiful man. Terrified, she of course denied his advances. Very kindly, he let her go to be with her sister.
After her visit with Lettie (who in fact turned out Martha thanks to a magic spell that let them switch places), Sophie returned to the hat shop. There she is visited by a strange woman who turns out to be the feared Witch of the Waste. The witch accuses Sophie of meddling in her affairs and places a spell upon her. The spell turns Sophie into an 80-year-old woman. In such a state Sophie decides that she cannot remain at the hat shop and explain how such a strange occurrence happened.

It is at this point that the Wizard Howl should be mentioned. Stories and rumors spread about Sophie’s home about the terrible wizard who stole the souls and ate the hearts of young women. As it happened, when Sophie set out from home she come across the Wizard Howl’s moving castle (after fixing an old scarecrow and untying a tangled up dog). Being old she didn’t fear the wizard wanting her heart, so she entered the castle.

Once inside she meets the wizard’s apprentice, Michael, as well as a comfortable seat which she promptly falls asleep in. Upon waking she meets Calcifer, the fire demon who fuels the castle. Calcifer explains he is stuck in a contract with the Wizard Howl. He and Sophie make a bargain that he will lift the spell on her if she discovers how to break their contract. However neither Calcifer or Howl can speak about the main clause of the contract.

The next morning Sophie meets Howl and is surprised to find that he is the young man who accosted her on May Day. Sophie refuses to let him know who she really is and states that she will be the cleaning lady of the castle. Over breakfast Sophie learns that Howl isn’t nearly as wicked as the stories say. In fact, Howl himself spreads the rumors so that he can avoid work and a “powerful someone” whom he offended. She also learns that the castle is mostly enchantment and that the rooms inside are actually from Howl’s home in another area of Ingary. The doors are enchanted to open to different places.

In order to prove her worth Sophie sets about cleaning the rooms of the castle which are real. It should be said that the rooms are quite the disaster as they have never been cleaned. In fact, it took several days to clean everything and Sophie never heard one way or another from Howl if she was to stay or not. Amongst all the cleaning Sophie finds nothing that could help her break the contract between Howl and Calcifer but she does discover that Michael has a sweetheart, Howl is courting a particularly tough young lady, and another wizard, Suliman has gone missing in the Waste. She also deals with a particular tantrum from Howl in which he oozes green slime about the house because his hair color was accidentally changed to ginger. Soon after Howl reveals that the lady he is chasing is Lettie Hatter, Sophie’s sister. Of course, it turns out that Michael’s sweetheart is also Lettie (but actually Martha in disguise!).

Later Howl discusses that the prince of one of the kingdoms, Prince Justin, has gone missing and that is why the previous Royal Wizard, Suliman went missing looking for him. Howl is concerned that the King will soon ask him to start looking for the prince.

Around this point a scarecrow appears around Howl’s castle, frightening Sophie. Howl meets it and tells it to leave. He explains that it has some of the most powerful magic he had ever seen on it. Sophie and Michael use a pair of seven-league boots to travel to the real Lettie and warn her of Howl’s womanizing ways. However it is revealed that Lettie and her teacher Mrs. Fairfax knew it was Howl all along and that they were using it as an opportunity for Lettie to learn as much magic as possible from him.

After finding a written spell in the castle, Sophie and Michael attempt to figure out its meaning of “go and catch a falling star”. When Howl discovers this he decides to explain and takes the pair through the magic door to the one place he keeps secret.

It just happens to be Wales. Yes, Wales of our normal, everyday world. It turns out that Howl was born and raised in Wales and one day found a magical entrance to the land of Ingary where he began to practice magic. His sister and her family still live in Wales. Howl takes Sophie and Michael there. The spell that Sophie and Michael found was actually a poem from Howl’s nephew’s homework. The nephew admits that his homework had been misplaced by “funny writing” of Howl’s. Howl then takes Sophie and Michael to see the teacher, Mrs. Angorian, who assigned the poem and took Howl’s writing instead. They retrieve the spell

After that little adventure they return to Ingary and Howl sends Sophie to visit the king as his mother so she might blacken his name. There she meets Howl’s teacher, Mrs. Pentstemmon, who expresses her concern for Howl and his heavy use of charms to enhance his appearance and attractiveness. She fears he may be on a similar path as the Witch of the Waste. She explains that the Witch of the Waste also made a contract with a fire demon and that the demon took control of her. Contracts between demons and humans can extend the lives of both but it is not without its risks. Mrs. Pentstemmon advises Sophie to seek out what Calcifer got when he made the contract with Howl. She also tells Sophie that she has the ability to speak life into things. Sophie denies this, of course.

During her audience with the king, Sophie says all she can to assure him that Howl would be an awful man for the job, but everything just seems to convince the king otherwise. She leaves with the King still intent on having Howl search for the prince. Afterwards she runs into the Witch of the Waste who was seeking out Mrs. Pentstemmon so that she might discover where Howl is. However Mrs. Pentstemmon refused and promptly died to prove it. Later, Sophie adopts a dog (I swear this is plot relevant!) and Howl attends the funeral of Mrs. Pentstemmon.

In an attempt to vanish from the both the Witch of the Waste’s and the King’s sight, Howl moves one of the magical entrances to Market Chipping, where Sophie’s old hat shop was. Sophie’s step-mother was in fact, selling the shop. However Sophie uses the building as a flower shop instead of a hat shop. At this point Sophie has a chat with her dog, which turns out to be a man under a spell from the Witch of the Waste. He explains that Lettie sent him to look for her. Later Mrs. Angorian shows up through one of the doors and makes her way through the castle.

After another conversation with the dog Sophie finds out that Howl knew that she was under a spell and had been learning about it from Lettie. Howl explains he had tried to remove the spell but found he was unable. He assumed that Sophie had been enjoying the disguise of an old woman.

Angry about everything Sophie vows to leave the castle for good. However every time she attempts to leave something or someone arrives that delays her. Sophie’s step-mother arrives, aware of the spell on her. Soon they are joined by Michael and Martha, and then Lettie and Mrs. Fairfax. Lastly Mrs. Angorian arrives once again.
Amongst all the reunions Calcifer lets out a cry to Howl that the Witch of the Waste has found his family. Howl rushes away to defend his family against the Witch. He chases her away and follows her in her escape. In all the confusion Sophie invites the scarecrow in at last which causes a great number of magical things to go off inside the castle.

Meanwhile the Witch of the Waste sends a message that Howl fell for her decoy and that she now holds Mrs. Angorian captive. Calcifer at the same time grew quiet and very dim. Sophie uses the seven league boots to go to the waste and find the Witch. Sophie demands that the Witch return Mrs. Angorian, but the Witch refuses and says they must wait for Howl. Sophie tells her that he certainly wouldn’t come for such a trap, but the witch insists that because Sophie came, he would come and would have to be honest. The Witch also explains that she was the one who took both the Prince and the Wizard Suliman. She took them apart in order that she might make a perfect man for herself. In order to do this, the scarecrow and the dog were created from the pieces. She is waiting only for Howl’s head to complete him.

It turns out that Mrs. Angorian is in fact the fire demon which the Witch of the Waste made a contract with. When Howl does eventually arrive at the waste he realizes that Mrs. Angorian now has control of Calcifer back at the castle. The Witch is killed, so Howl and Sophie hurry back to the castle. Mrs. Angorian explained that she wishes to take over as Howl’s demon and takes hold of Calcifer, who in fact is carrying Howl’s heart. Sophie orders her walking stick to attack Mrs. Angorian, and it does. She realizes she can speak life into things. Mrs. Angorian drops Calcifer and Howl’s heart. Sophie retrieves them and brings them to Howl. Using her magic Sophie speaks the heart back into Howl and speaks a thousand more years of life into Calcifer. By doing this she breaks their contract. Howl revives and takes the Witch’s heart out. He crumbles the heart in his hand and Mrs. Angorian fades away into nothing.

By this point Sophie realizes that she is back to her own age and appearance and Howl remarks that he had hoped she would be the girl he saw on May Day. Surrounded by the friends and family that had returned earlier Sophie explains that she had to let Calcifer go and Howl says he knew that would have to happen. Prince Justin and Wizard Suliman are returned to normal and everything wraps up nicely. Howl suggests that he and Sophie “live happily ever after”.

And perhaps they will.

Sophie makes an appearance in two other novels (The Castle in the Air and The House of Many Ways), but she is no a central character in either.

Personality: Over the course of the novel Sophie’s personality takes some drastic changes. At the start she is a very humble, quiet, and shy person. She prefers to stay at home and avoid other people. Going out into town is a major decision for her every time and she must talk herself into doing it. However Sophie is still kind, sweet, and mature. She handles most things with grace, unless it involves major crowds. At this point Sophie is also rather passive. She accepts the decisions made for her and does not argue. While her sisters Martha and Lettie defied their fates right away for what they really wanted Sophie settled into the position handed to her.

After the spell is place upon her things begin to change. Sophie is still rather resigned to her fate of being an old woman but the strange new form convinces her of some more freedoms. She feels comfortable being a bit odd, even “mad” around people because isn’t that how old women are supposed to act? Being around Howl and his mysterious ways also brings out her curiosity and stubbornness. Again she is convinced that as the housekeeper of the castle it is her right to keep everything within neat and orderly. She becomes unafraid to explore new things and stand up to Howl, Michael, and Calcifer.

By the end of the novel Sophie has moved completely passed who she once was. She isn’t afraid to look for what she really wants and say exactly what she means. She is a more confident and strong young woman, thanks to her own experiences and the words of Howl. She realizes that it was her own stubbornness keeping her old. Not only that, but she realizes that she doesn’t need to be an old woman to act the way she was. She can still be a stubborn, nosy, loving, and outgoing young woman. One who has far more talents and friends than she ever dreamed of having. Her confidence isn’t completely solidified by the end, as she does blame her misfortune on “being the eldest” but Howl rebukes her for saying so. She has grown a lot over the course of the novel, but could still stand for some more confidence, which with time I am sure she will gain.

First Person (entry type):
In this place you may ask questions, right? I’ve never really owned an enchanted item so I’m not quite sure what to do with it. All I have are the explanations of the people I spoke with. I even had to switch out a new log book. Hopefully this on won’t be enchanted as well.

Oh, ah, I had a question. Yes, that’s right.

If you were handed an occupation that was not one of your choosing, but chosen for you out of a good heart and smart thinking, would you follow that fate? Or would you find another one; the one you desire more?

Third Person:
Very briefly Sophie wondered if she should be concerned in the sudden appearance of so many magical things happening in her life. It wasn’t unusual for magic to be around – her family had been buying and trading small enchantments from Mrs. Fairfax for years – but the sheer amount of it was enough to make Sophie pause.

First there was the strange log book that she had come across. The shop had said nothing of an enchantment when she had bought it. Of course she had yet to gain the courage to go back and ask him about it…

But no one else in the shop could see the strange writing that appeared without her touching ink to page.

And then even more recently was the trouble with her sisters. Martha and Lettie. Lettie and Martha. They’d gone off and switched places, all without a word to her! Perhaps the fact that they were keeping secrets from her was even worse than all this magic business.
Sophie sighed as she closed up the shop for the day. Hopefully she had already had her fill of magic and that would be that.

“I certainly hope so,” she said under her breath.

Character:Dr. Sheldon "Shelly" Cooper
Fandom: The Big Bang Theory
Character Notes:
History:
Sheldon’s humble beginnings start on a farm in Texas. Cooper lived with a very religious family. This proved rather difficult as everyone in Texas but him was a creationist and Sheldon was not.

Like most nerds, Cooper was bullied, for his superior intelligence as well as being chased by a deranged cat. His only friends, well rather imaginary colleagues, were all that Sheldon had besides his family. When Sheldon was young he often hoped that the Enterprise, from Star Trek, would come and take him away from this forsaken place called home.

Despite all of this, Cooper tried to provide free electricity to his town in Texas by storing uranium in yellow cake, however the U. S. government found out as Sheldon tried to order the uranium online and they have a chat with little Cooper. Sheldon then proceeded to go lock himself in his room and build a death ray.

Some time later, Sheldon spent eight and a half hours traveling to Comic Con on public transit to meet his idol Will Wheaten and get his autograph. When Cooper got there he found out Will Wheaten had cancelled at the last second and Sheldon vowed revenge.

After having had completed the 5th grade Sheldon went off to college for four years and then spend another four years working on his thesis. During his years in college, Sheldon had to endure his father’s football talking. His father died at a later time for unknown reasons. At age 14 and a half he won a Stevenson award – and is the youngest person to receive that award.

At 15, Sheldon started graduate school. When he was 16, Sheldon received his first doctrine.

Dr. Cooper was employed at the California Institute of Technology, as he focused in the theoretical physics, especially String Theory.

Sheldon met Leonand and the two become best friends, after Cooper saved Leonard’s life by tossing Leonard’s experimental rocket down the elevator shaft, as Sheldon saw Leonard put in extremely unstable particles.

Howard Wolowitz and Dr. Raj Koothrappali like Leonard and become Leonard’s friend and inadvertently Sheldon’s friends as well.

When Sheldon first met Penny, he wanted nothing to do with her. It was his roommate Leonard, whom wanted to be more neighborly for his own reasons. Sheldon quickly catching on that Leonard just wanted to have sex with Penny or was hoping for the chance. Since they’re never neighborly, Penny quickly created a no Sheldon at her door before 11am rule which of course Sheldon follows and is there at her door knocking at 11am sharp.

Finally, Sheldon is currently in a relationship with Amy Farrah Fowler, whom Sheldon met though internet dating thanks to Howard and Raj.

Personality:

First and foremost, Sheldon suffers from Asperger's syndrome. As Bernadette states, “Sheldon doesn’t know when he’s being mean because a part of his brain that should know is getting a wedgie from the rest of his brain.” Which is why Sheldon is a jerk hole but in his eye, making snippy and downgrading remarks is raising that person up. Such as to Howard, whom doesn’t have a Doctrine he comments that, "I never said you weren’t good at what you do. I just said what you do isn’t worth doing."

As well as going on with psychotic rants, which usually happens with subjects such as horoscopes and magic. Both of which he finds ridiculous.

Cooper is also rather egoistical, like how he comments on how he has an IQ that can’t be measured on any chart because it’s that high, as well as referring to himself as a superior human, to the extent that Stephen Hawking and him are the only human beings on Earth and the rest of mankind are just dogs. Not to mention Sheldon is far too evolved to learn to drive.

He does show kindness in his own strange ways. For example:
Lending Penny the money she needs for her apartment rent.
Letting Raj work with him so Raj isn't deported back to India.
Or when he's reminded of Spock's dying words, "The needs of the many, outweigh the need of the few or the one." Cooper will assist.

Cooper has also been known to come off like a robot, which some of his own friends question. However, when Penny broke her arm and Sheldon had to take her to the hospital, Penny states that Sheldon, "Totally is a robot but you're like a Wall - E robot. You come off cold but you can save a plant and get fat people off chairs." Granted this doesn't happen more towards season 3 as Penny influences this.

Sarcasm and social situations are something that baffle Cooper time and time again, however as the seasons progress, around season three, Sheldon with a lot of aid from Leonard, begins to grip sarcasm better and when he thinks he hears sarcasm, goes, “Was that sarcasm?” As if he’s making sure he’s calling the tone right. Whereas Sheldon, if he’s pulling your leg or being sarcastic rather, he’ll have a short pause and go, “Bazinga”. Loosely translated means, got you.

As Sheldon gets more involved with Penny and Penny develops a relationship with Leonard, he begins to understand social situations more from observation and sometimes questions what he should do when he's in a social situration he does not understand. He has learned things such as that sex is a better positive reinforcement then chocolate. As far as the idea of sex goes, up till Sheldon is dating Amy Farrah Fowler, and they experiment a social science of gossip, the juicy one the lie of her and Sheldon having had sex, at the end of the experiment, Cooper comments to Amy that he’d like to try that, to which she replies she’s not ready. Before that Sheldon’s view on sex is that it’s messy and usually calls Howard out on the other man’s natural urges getting in the way, "Once again, foiled by your own sexual urges." Out of four groups of friends, Leonard, Rja, Howard and Sheldon. Cooper expresses the least interest in acting out sex and has a fascinating time observing his friends and their mating process between his friends and their mates. As Sheldon states one time with Leonard and Penny:
"Interesting. Sex acts as better positive reinforcement then chocolate.. I wonder if anyone else has stumbled upon this."

Another social element Sheldon slowly learns over time is hugging or rather the apparent moment and length. So far, the only time Cooper has hugged anyone was Penny, when she gave him an autographed napkin with saliva from Leonard Nimoy.

Not good at making friends, the only reason he has Howard, Raj and Penny is because of Leonard. So, Cooper makes a Friendship Algorithm, which actually works.

Cooper also shows obsessive compulsive disorders, when he knocks on Penny’s apartment door, it’s always in three’s and always with the same time lapse between the knocks.

Sheldon even cleans Penny’s apartment after seeing how much of slop she is... He goes to clean her apartment during the middle of the night… While she was sleeping, in which Leonard comments:
“Did it ever occur to you, not everyone has the compulsive need to sort or organize and label the entire world around them?”
In which Sheldon simply answers, “No.”

Sheldon also has to have dinner at exactly a certain time or fears a bowl movement during the day at work, rather than before.

This can carry on to the point where you may just want to kill Sheldon.

Cooper is determined to disprove anything that is considered magical. Even a simple game of card tricks, which Sheldon spends an episode on, disproving Howard's illusion of being able to pick out Sheldon's card. In the end of course it was a hoax but Sheldon never figured how Howard and Raj drove the man up the wall.

Despite being a Theoretical Physicist, Sheldon loves his comic books, video games, movies, TV shows and anime. Considering his decor in his apartment of action figures and statues and his Flash and Spock Halloween costume. Where Cooper also LARPS, live action role plays Flash and Spock.

His most notable action figure is his Spock action figure that 'talks' to Sheldon and his very extension comic book collection, some of which he even keeps in a safety deposit box at the bank.

Cooper has begged three times in five seasons:
- That Babylon 5 be cancelled at the network
- The FireFly wasn't cancelled to the network
- That Howard let him meet Stephen Hawking

He also online roleplays, War of Witchcraft and has a level 92 Rogue Night Elf and his Sims world that is called Sheldonopolis.
He also loves his retro Nintendo video games even if also plays Halo.
Remember he's a Theoretical Physicist, who studies String Theory as Sheldon states, "I subscribe to the idea of many universes. There however is not one out there that has a Sheldon Cooper, who dances."

The line between genius and insanity is clearly a thin one.

Dr. Cooper is also rather arrogant. As Sheldon claims, as he refers to Isaac Newton and states, "Though, gravity would had been apparent to me without the apple."

Interestingly enough, Sheldon does have a dark side to him. Though Leonard does remark that Sheldon is, "One lab explosion away from being a villain."

This is mainly seen with Cooper's hatred of Wil Wheaton, whom cheated Sheldon out of an autograph, that he as a boy spent eight hours on public transit, despite his disgust of public transit and germs, to get his autograph only to find out Wil Wheaton canceled on the convention, Cooper even remarks in Klingon, to Wheaton, "Revenge is a dish best served cold."

Cooper is childish when things don’t go his way. For example, Sheldon threatens to quit the Physics team simply because they want to be called the Beagle Loins over the Army Ant and when Sheldon is kicked off the team for not being a team player, something else he has an issue with. He'd rather lose then win because one of his new teammates he told to be quiet during the whole time, spoke an answer and the correct answer at that, to which Sheldon himself did not know the answer too. In other words, he’s a sore loser and even sorer winner. When he’s sick, he’s whiney and demands people take care of him. Finally, Cooper may randomly remark, at some times, "I need to pee pee."

If Sheldon has any emotions, they lie subconsciously. When he and his best friend Leonard are having an argument, Sheldon has no bowl movements and developments insomnia.

In short, Sheldon Cooper is rather odd and everyone in his world has a different theory on what is wrong with him.

*String Theory, basically is the idea that every probable outcome is possible. So, if that outcome doesn't happen in the current universe. It is happening in another universe.
For example, there's a universe, in theory, where 65 million years ago, the asteroid did not collide with Earth and thus dinosaurs did not go extinct. In fact, there's a universe out there, in theory, where you weren’t even born.

Yes, this is a real theory.

Can you please redo your history and personality sections into separate sections, like they are supposed to be? I see a lot of personality in the merged section, but there's no history. This makes it even more difficult to judge how you're going to justify Auron first being in Final Fantasy X and then moving through to Kingdom Hearts II. I don't mind if you make the jump with headcanon, but I need to see that you're familiar with both canons and that you can explain how it's going to work.

Please post the new history and personality sections as comments to this comment, rather than editing your post.

Character Notes:
History:
A 300-year old Demon residing in New Hell after being assigned the menial task of janitorial work for the majority of her existence, once the Runaway Spirit Squad requires extra hands, Elsie drops her broom (figuratively, rather than literally to everyone's dismay) and is recruited. Thus starting her reason to appear to the world above to help catch the spirits that have aptly "run away".

A runaway spirit is a demon that has escaped Old Hell and hid themselves in a girls' heart. This spirit uses the empty space of a girls host as temporary residence before it uses the girls entire body to help resurrect it by, you guessed it, having a child. Which is why it is vastly important to fill this girls emptiness and one way to do such is by love.

But before Elsie can even think about finding these demons, she needs one crucial thing and that is a: buddy. A buddy is a just as it sounds, they're simply partners but a little differently, they're mainly human partners and Elsie sets her eyes on the rumored Capturing God, Keima Katsuragi. Even infamous through hell, Keima is the man rumored to be able to capture the hearts of any girl but what anyone fails to mention is that Keima is only able to capture the hearts of any 2D girl. Keima is the otoge expert and this miscommunication leads to an ill-fated union between him and his newfound, unwanted buddy and responsibilities.

Under the assumption that Keima is able to seduce any type of girl, Keima is sent a contract to assist the Runaway Squad which to him sounds more like a challenge. Blindly accepting it, Keima is suddenly stuck with Elsie and a collar around that his neck which will decapitate his head should he refuse helping her. Stuck with this unfortunate luck, Keima and Elsie have no choice but to work together and help fill the girls heart with Keima's love... Which would be even easier if he didn't hate 3D girls.

More personally, growing up, Elsie was a poor student and a poor demon. Unlike her overachieving sister and the other bright students like a demon called Haqua, Elsie has learned to smile through her personal disappointments and content herself with doing chores like cooking and cleaning. But now that she has been given the opportunity to prove herself a worthy demon and even if she was unsuccessful, she's happy with being given the chance.

However, Elsie can't live as a demon while she resides on Earth and manages to take on the identity of Keima's younger half sister or more humorously, Keima's father's illegitimate daughter much to the shock and horror of Keima's mother. This identity allows her to attend Keima's school and generally be around him at all time and bear witness to his insane gaming habits.

Personality:
Cheery and go-lucky, Elsie is the direct opposite to Keima and any preconception's people would have on 'demons from hell'. While the latter is due to state of hell itself, Elsie is still more optimistic and happy than any other person or demon would be. Elsie tries her best in everything even if she's clumsy or incompetent at the task. Elsie unabashedly dives head first into her work not matter how daunting it may seem but she might waddle out of the pool if it proves to be not as easy as she initially expected. Her cowardice at times, again, conflict with what one would expect from a demon. Hence why she easily lets Keima take the lead in all of his conquests and Elsie is content on giving him background support or commentary on his very dramatic strategies though she may act out if she doesn't enjoy the task he's assigned to her.

Despite having less parameters than her human counterpart, Elsie is amusing on her own and much more popular with her classmates than Keima is. Even Keima's own mother prefers her company more. She's sociable and friendly, warming up to people much more easily than Keima would or could. Though she has mastered this aspect of the human world, Elsie is still very new to it and is very fascinated by things most people take for granted. While being obsessed with singing idols is not all that uncommon Elsie also develops a strange obsession for... Fire trucks. Elsie's knowledge about Japanese history is outdated and she fails at most of her classes. But again, despite those oddities, Elsie also appreciates Keima and tries hard to earn his approval even if he's quick to make her flaws known and deny acknowledging her achievements.

Although it's through Keima's gaming skills that allows helps Elsie capture the runaway souls, Elsie still fails to understand how Keima finds his games more fascinating than real people and thinks his habits can be somewhat pointless. At least pointless enough to not understand why he needs to be so protective, defensive and even argumentative about it. But that leads to Keima enlightening her and the audience about the necessity of otoges and illustrate how much Elsie's existence has become an intrusion to his sacred life. But even though he finds her frustrating and annoying and vice versa, they both find one another endearing enough to put up with each other and work together.

First Person (entry type):
Dear Ducky-kami sama!

I know I don't have to type to you like this but I think it's a lot more friendly to address you this way. Kami-sama has a blog too but it's not as pretty as this place. It's sort of plain and it's just filled with his opinion on his games. But, anyway!

Today was a really interesting day. I went to the school's library to look up books about fire engines! [she holds up a two-spread paged picture of one, with a finger pinned right in the middle of it] Aren't they simply amazing? And they're so ... red! I hope to see a real fire engine soon. The library's assistant helped me find books like these and she found lots, lots... lots more! It was amazing! I never people were as interested about writing fire engines as I am about reading them!

But I have a secret... That girl is Kami-sama's next conquest. She doesn't talk a lot so this may be his most difficult challenge yet.

Please don't tell anyone, Ducky-kami-sama! [shuffling back to return to her fire truck books] Now I'm going to ask you all a question. Even though I'm not finished with these ones I already want to know a lot more, so... Ducky-kami sama! I have a favor to ask. Since the Internet is a big place, can everyone help me find fun websites with fire engines on them? That would be really helpful!

Thank you very much,
Elsea de Lute Irma
Third Person:
It had already been late in the afternoon and Keima still hadn't left his room. While the great Kami-sama had worked hard to fill the last conquest's heart and help Elsie capture four runaway souls, that still didn't justify his hermit behavior. Even though Elsie knew what he was up to, a young boy in a dark room, all alone and with only the thought of girls invading his mind and she knew she should absolutely not disturb him... Not leaving his room after all that time, wouldn't his hands start to cramp up? His room was probably a mess and more importantly, wasn't it about time he changed the sheets in his bed?

She sighed quietly as she lamented Keima's very off-putting habits, shaking her head as the weird noises Keima made escaped from the crevices of his room.

"Kami nii-sama..." what am I going to do with you she asks herself before reluctantly turning the knob of his bedroom door, bracing herself for the image she might see.

After witnessing the scene once before, Elsie still didn't understand the point of playing six games at once. A cute boy like Keima should be out with friends and getting fresh air! But instead he's holed himself up in his room with a neat arrangement of monitors and every console ever created running instead.

Elsie still didn't understand how anyone could be content with that sort of lifestyle but that was probably why he was so useful to conquests in the first place. Still. It didn't hurt to hope that he could grow to be more sociable. While Elsie and Keima's mother knew there was more to him than met the eye, no one else was going to get past his "otamegane" status if he forfeited his bodies needs to simply play games. And while he was a great partner, if only he had this sort of motivation towards capturing runaway souls... Or anything and anyone else.

The light glow of screens was starting to hurt her eyes as she took a peek at all of the games he was playing. His hands continued to move at a rapid pace and though she had set her sights on one screen, the dialogue and text changed so fast she didn't even have a chance to read them. So many questions were running through her head, most of them starting with "why" as she slipped back into the hall as unnoticed as she had entered.

Even if he didn't want it right now, she was going to make him eat some real food because no matter what she's been told, it's impossible for someone to live off games. And as Elsie went off to the kitchen to make her hell famous partner, she could hear a cackle as if it was going to prove her mental statement wrong.

Are you at least 15?: Oh yes.
Current Characters: None at the moment.

Character: Yuuki Natsuno
Fandom: Shiki (anime/manga)

Character Notes:
History: At one time he and his family lived in a big city, however his parents moved him to a small town named Sotoba. At fifteen, it's illegal for him to live on his own so he is stuck with them. Not much is known about his life prior to Sotoba, but he is a student at the school, high grades and intelligence. Since his arrival in Sotoba, Megumi Shimizu has fallen in love with him and stalks him constantly. He doesn't have many friends, but one day he was taken in by Mutou Tohru, an eighteen year old and has been close to him since.
Personality: Natsuno's personality is cold. He has one friend and is disinterested in most of the other small town folk. He especially finds them to be frustrating and ignorant. With his friend however, he is warm and every bit a normal teenage boy. He has a paranoid streak, thanks to Megumi, but it leads to poor sleep, and a grumpy disposition and most importantly paranoia. He is supportive of Tohru's attempt to date the town nurse, and it is the fact he stops caring that tips him off to his impending doom. He has a strong desire to stay alive, and in return he vows to take out the Shiki after they kill his best friend. He meets Akira and Kaori trying to discover the Shiki and they band together to get the adults to realize their town is being overrun by vampires. Giving up his own life doesn't seem to mean much and when he finds out Tohru has become one of the Risen, he offers to run away with him, to find a way to exist together because ultimately he just wants to be with his friend. It is after Tohru's passing that he seems to stop sleeping altogether.
Once he knows he is going to die, he becomes resigned quickly, leaving the exposure of the Shiki to Akira and Kaori.
Other:His strongest desire is to leave the village. He dislikes his parents and is ashamed of them because they never married and he wants to throw everything behind and move into adulthood.
*Although he does not realize those dreams, he is a unique case. Instead of becoming one of the Risen, he becomes a Jinrou. Why he becomes one is unclear, but it gives him an advantage in the fight against the Shiki.
*While alive, he has several visions from Megumi's viewpoint of her stalking him, probably implanted by her. One of these visions leads to her attacking Tohru, and he is the first person to realize that Shiki are invading their town.

First Person (entry type):
Megumi is gone. She's finally gone. The summer here is sweltering and yet every night I have to shut my window because that stupid, dumb bitch is sitting out by the tree in my yard, staring through the window at me. But she's gone, died actually. It might have seemed cruel not to take her postcard, but I want nothing more to do with her. I want my freedom back. I want to be able to leave my window open like a human being. I don't care if it's rude to talk about the dead like this, she was a stupid, spoiled bitch who was following me around, staring at me. It was completely disconcerting. When I got out of here, the first thing I was going to do was slap her with a restraining order and run off back to the city, but now at least I don't have to do that. Sotoba is safer with her gone.
[An hour or so passes.]
If she's dead, why is my skin crawling? Why do I feel like she's still watching me? I feel those eyes on me...

Third Person:
The lights in the room were off, and the window firmly shut and locked. Natsuno pulled the blanket off his bed, around his shoulders. He shivered, feeling her gaze. He flicked a glance at the window. It was still shut. He should feel safe, but something was off. He wrapped his arms around his knees, rocking back and forth. She was dead, she was dead and she couldn't get him.

A banging at the door startled him and he cowered. He could practically see it, the way the house looked, dark and silent as Megumi crept up the stairs one step at a time, pausing when it creaked with a muffled giggle. She would skip onto the top step, throw her hair back and walk to his door. With a swoop of her hand, she'd open it and grin, staring at him with her vacant eye sockets, a worm or two sliding out of her lips. She would walk in and whisper "I'll never leave you alone..."

Natsuno snapped out of the vision with a cry and put his head in his hands, trembling. There was no way in hell he would sleep anytime soon, not when Megumi could get him. It didn't matter that it wasn't possible, he knew he was still being hunted.

Are you at least 15?: Y
Current Characters: Sollux Captor, Jake English

Character: Moist von Lipwig aka Albert Spangler et. al.
Fandom: Discworld

Character Notes:
History:
Moist was born in Lipwig, Uberwald, to parents who apparently really suck at naming their children. Little is known about his early life, though he apparently did spend a lot of time around the hunting dogs who come from that part of Uberwald, and also lived through some very turbulent times in his country's history, forcing him to learn to survive by whatever means he could.

During this period, he became a conman, at one time working with a man named Cribbins, who taught him everything he (meaning Cribbins) knew. Moist didn't much appreciate many of these lessons, as he felt that Cribbins was an unnecessarily brutal criminal, and Moist tried hard to forget a lot of what he 'learned' during this period.

Moist's big advantage in life is his forgettable face. He's very skilled at making himself impossible to describe to law enforcement, by means of adding features to what would otherwise be an unmemorable visage - adding glasses or a moustache and other features gives people something to point out and describe, and when he takes them off again, he can easily blend into a crowd and disappear.

He uses this, and a natural charisma and intelligence, to swindle greedy people out of their money, ultimately amassing a fortune in excess of 150,000 AM (Ankh-Morpork dollars). Then he gets caught, hanged, and pressed into civil service under his real name, much to his chagrin. He is first tasked with reviving the Ankh Morpork Postal Service, something he does with great success, inventing stamps, investing his entire fortune into the effort, and ultimately exposing the fraud committed by the owners of the Clacks company, thereby giving Lord Vetinari the ability to bring the Clacks under government control. During this period, he meets Adora Belle Dearheart, and begins to court her. He also wears a gold suit, and a hat with wings on it.

Once he's brought the Postal Service under his wing - so to speak - things start to get boring for him, so Vetinari gives him another task - fixing the Ankh Morpork Royal Bank and the Royal Mint. As a former bank robber, he is apparently perfectly suited to this task. He refuses, but ends up roped into it anyway, via a dead old lady who left the damn thing to him. He manages to invent paper money, and saves the Ankh Morpork economy from the greedy Lavish family.

From hints left at the end of this book, he's supposed to fix the taxation system next.

Personality:
Moist is a thrill junkie, but also a good-hearted and non-violent person. He turned to running cons because he loved the adrenaline rush, but prided himself on only swindling people who were trying to swindle him, and on never carrying a weapon or hurting anyone. One thing he learned in Going Postal was that he had, in fact, actually harmed and even killed people, in an indirect manner. This realization is something he initially dismisses as not being his fault, but which affects him deeply. He's literally terrified just holding a weapon, as it raises the stakes - he prefers to avoid violence and to talk himself out of situations wherever possible, or simply to run if talking doesn't work.

Talking usually works.

Despite being physically unremarkable (though generally handsome) Moist is very charming and skilled at getting people to like him. People gravitate towards him instantly, and he's a showman, knowing how to work a crowd, how to get a laugh. If people are laughing, they're not paying attention to what you're really doing. If you can direct their attention over here, they won't see the queen you palmed over there.

Though his real skill is his words, Moist is also a skilled lockpick, pick pocket, and forger. Though he cares for people and eventually accepts his path on the straight and narrow, he can never truly leave his criminal nature behind. He steals Drumknott's pencils, basically because he can, and when Adora Belle isn't around to distract him, he breaks into his own post office, just because he's so bored it seems more interesting than going in through the door.

Other: I'll be initially introducing Moist as Albert Spangler, while he's in Ankh Morpork conducting various confidence scams. My plan is to play through him being captured and thrown in the Tanty, then to BUY A RENAME TOKEN and reintroduce him as Moist under a different journal name. Yup.

First Person (entry type):

[The video turns on, at first showing a far too clear view of Albert Spangler's nose, then pulling back to show him looking a lot more scruffy than normal - his hair unkempt and his moustache and beard full and untamed. He smiles sheepishly at the screen]

Oh…kay, uh, is this working? I finally managed to bribe Bintworth - Ah, I mean persuade that fine upstanding gentleman - to give me one of my personal effects. And by that, I mean that I got him to give me back my journal so I could contact the community, and in return I gave him a few hints to the location of my stash - which actually doesn't exist, and even if it did, I wouldn't tell him where it was.

All of this leading up to say that I'd really like to get out of here before he figures it out.

[He draws a breath, and lets it out, tilting the journal to show a view of his dank, dark cell.]

I've run into a spot of trouble, which is why you've all been deprived of my presence lately. Sorry about that - who knew there was a werewolf in the Watch, eh? [He smiles hopefully] So I was wondering, would anyone be willing and/or able to get me out of here? A little worldhop wouldn't go unrewarded with my undying gratitude. [He lowers his voice to a conspiratorial whisper] And maybe even heaps and heaps of gold.

Or failing that--

[He holds up a spoon - or what once might have been called a spoon. It's now about half a spoon, mostly just the part that isn't…spoony] Could someone at least spot me a new spoon? When I get out, I'll buy you ten more to replace it, I promise.

Third Person:

Moist grabbed a milk crate and turned it over, then jumped atop it, giving a whirl of his arms that was half dramatics, half attracting the attention of the wandering audience that was Ankh Morpork, and half trying to catch his balance - the cobbles weren't perfectly level in the street right outside the post office.

Once he'd caught his balance, he doffed his winged hat and took a bow, adding another flourish. When he straightened, he had produced the sheet of stamps.

"Special edition, Unseen University Tower of Art stamps - now with octarine ink!" The ink, which was the special eighth colour - that of magic - made it nearly impossible to be forged. Moist had tried, and he had never been able to reproduce the green/purple shade. "I promise these will be collector's items. One dollar each - enough to get your letter to Uberwald."

Several people stood around, simply waiting for the show to get better. Most people couldn't really afford a whole dollar for a letter. But even so, a number stepped forward, digging around for big gold dollar coins to buy the stamps. Moist jumped down and began tearing off stamps, handing out stamps as the crowd grew. As he did so, he felt a spark jump between his fingers and the paper, and he had to suppress a yelp.

Maybe it was a good idea not to keep too many of these stamps in one place. Who knew what might happen?

Current Characters: Tony Stark [personal profile] rockstark and Agent Kay [personal profile] olbustedhotness

Character: Charles Foster Ofdensen
Fandom: Metalocalypse
Character Notes:
History: ((Absolutely NOTHING is given in canon about Charles' life before managing Dethklok ... so I've built up a pretty substantial headcanon based on the things we do see of his personal life and his personality, and in keeping with the general tone of the show in regards to family and home lives vs. life in the music industry, and how the two interact. There's a rundown of all of that headcanon here if you're interested, but basically, suffice it to say that managing the band is not just Charles' big break, but his True Calling.))

Several pentuple-platinum albums, thousands of sold-out concerts, and trillions of dollars in official merchandising surround the heavy metal band Dethklok. They are not only the most popular band in the world, but its greatest source of economic prosperity. Dethklok's roadies and other innumerable, vastly varied staff make up a substantial percentage of the world's workforce. If the band fails, the world fails. Unfortunately, its five members are the most socially inept, ignorant, self-absorbed jackoffs in the history of socially inept, ignorant, self-absorbed jackoffs.

Fortunately, their manager is anything but, and has somehow had the know-how, the sense, and the stability to keep every single blood-red plate spinning in the air since day one. Everyone knows Dethklok, but not many know Charles Foster Ofdensen, unless they're in the underside of the industry... and those who do know him will tell you he's one hell of a man. Some say it with awe, some say it with jealousy, some say it with fear... but all say it with respect. It seems like Dethklok have been around forever, even if they've only reigned from their metal throne for the better part of a decade now ... but if Charles has his way, they'll be around as long as they can play music. And he intends to make sure that that ability has a very, very long shelf-life.

Personality:
How The Band Sees Charles: Emotionless robot dildo who always tells them what to do and doesn't let them spend any money or do anything cool but occasionally pals around with them so they guess it's okay.

How Charles Presents Himself To The Band: No, really, guys, you need to focus and get some records made so the world doesn't fall into ruin. You would think you'd understand that the world depends on you by now. You would think you'd get how important this -- no. No he does not think a fountain that spews Code Red Mountain Dew is a good idea. He'd really like you to stay on topic here. Boys. Let's go. Come on. Seriously. You're hopeless. Sigh.

How Charles Really Thinks Of The Band: They are the Black Klok. They are the last hope of civilization, foretold throughout the centuries. Their power can save or doom billions. They are everything. They are all. They are to be defended at all costs, by any means necessary, and he is their first line of defense. He is their champion, their protector, their compass, and their rock. If they cannot fail, he MUST not. He must always - always - be there for them when it matters. If the others are the Gears, he is the Mainspring - the piece that stays tightly wound, perfectly aligned and poised to keep it all running smoothly and promptly. And the black Gods help him, he loves them all like his motherfucking family.

Charles Minus The Band: At first glance, it doesn't look like there's much - because for the most part, he truly has devoted his entire life to Dethklok. But there are vestiges of his personal life, even at their citadel at Mordhaus. He makes small talk with record executives, other managers, and professionals in the business. Behind closed doors, he talks the talk and walks the walk like any other schmoozer. He touts golf courses, appreciates fine cigars and brandy, collects lamps, and is .... a self-confessed Huey Lewis fan. Past a point, though, it's hard to tell whether Charles was a perfect fit for Dethklok, or he simply grew into them all. He enjoys subtly trolling the band, quietly taking advantage of their naivete in ways that don't outright harm them. Go ahead, ask him about the time he got them all wound up over an embezzler, only to tell them later that it was ... them. Or the time they pitched the most inefficient, horribly conceived mobile phone model and plan to him while they were all drunk, and he went ahead and had five of them made and connected to a party line, so the band could suffer through their own terrible idea. When the band treats him like dirt, that's the sort of thing he does to take the edge off.

And then, of course, there's the fact that it's quite possible he's just shy of batshit insane. Take the legal end of things: Charles helped orchestrate a VERY stringent copyright policy for Dethklok's songs, to ensure that they hold on to as many royalties as possible. Anyone caught illegally downloading their music or otherwise pirating Dethklok property is caught by strategic task forces, brought to an extensive underground dungeon beneath Mordhaus, and tortured. Horribly. Charles also organizes the defense force that keeps Dethklok safe from rabid fans, government assaults, and most importantly, the shady mechanations of a secret organization known mainly as The Tribunal, and a group of jaded ex-fans called The Revengencers. These defense forces are nothing short of a well-trained army, and Charles kits them out with advanced weaponry and technology that put the world's governments to shame. He wades right into the thick of it with the rest of them without so much as batting an eye or wrinkling his suit. Death, dismemberment, and other horrible disgusting words beginning with D don't even faze him - it's all part of the job description. And never mind that on at least one occasion, he's seen taking a personal hand in the punishment and torture of some of Dethklok's adversaries ... with relish, to boot. Once he's behind the boardroom table, however, that violent side gets tightly locked away, and you'd never know it existed to look at him.

Other:

"That's my bread and butter you're fucking with."

Charles is, to put it bluntly, one badass motherfucker. He's a cutthroat - not just in the business room. He'll literally cut you if you come between him and his band, and he's pretty much invincible. The man was thrown from the top floor of a hospital and landed on his feet like a cat. He's been left for dead - even pronounced as such - and somehow come back in one piece a few months later, with no explanation and not a word about it all. He's an expert swordsman - fencing, in particular - and can hold more than his own in hand-to-hand combat and knife fighting. He's also a crack shot with a gun, though most of the time it seems he prefers to get his hands dirty rather than shoot.

This is headcanon, but a little poking around the series of tubes has shown me it's pretty much fanon, as well: Charles is the voice of Facebones, Dethklok's animated mascot, as seen in videos released for their fanclub and employee instruction seminars. Facebones is pretty much a parody of Mickey Mouse: he speaks in a falsetto and starts out every broadcast with "HEY, FOLKS! IT'S ME! FAAAACEBOOOOONES!" Facebones' videos are generally informational in nature: a tour of Mordhaus, tips for Employee Safety, ways to avoid sexual harassment in the workplace, and so on and so forth. They're Charles' way of poking fun at conventional How-To and Public Service Announcement videos, since he peppers them all with Surprise Disturbing Content and occasionally lapses into muttering swears and insults at the viewers. Expect at least one of these videos to show up in the community at one point.

In a very connected vein: Metalocalypse has an on-again, off-again habit of "bleeping" out characters' swears with distorted guitar riffs. I'm going to be exercising this quirk with Charles from time to time, in accordance with the Rule of Funny.

I'm planning on connecting CFO to the community during the events of 1x04, Dethtroll, so that I get the opportunity to bump him up through the course of all four seasons. This is for a number of reasons: (a) it'll be freaking awesome (2) there's time allowed in case he gets castmates (iii) by the time I'm up to Season 4, maaaaaaybe the end-canon movie will be out. Hurr hurr.

HEY FOLKS IT'S FACEBOOOONES
Charles re: what he does. (SPOILERS.)

First Person (entry type): [the feed turns on to show Charles polishing off a bottle of water, sitting in his desk chair, a majestic mountain backdrop visible outside the picture window of his office. he's speaking to someone off-screen]

Yeah, that - those look good. I like the piping along the sides, that was a nice touch. Why don't we get the first run out by next week, see how they do. Maybe do a limited edition with ivory in it. Thanks.

[he turns his attention back to his laptop, aaand--] Oh. Hello, again. I was just giving my go-ahead on one of the boys' next merchandising endeavours. I'd tell you what it is, but - then I'd have to kill you. Heh-heh. [the chuckle sounds genuine enough, but he stays completely straight-faced] So. What have you all been up to, mm? Good to keep my finger on the pulse, as it were. Know what's going ...

[a loud crash, offscreen. and a bloodcurdling scream]

... on. Out there. [AHEM] Oh, and uh, let's all cross our fingers that there aren't any viruses on the horizon, shall we? I've got a meeting with Roy at Crystal Mountain Records on Friday afternoon, and I'd hate to show up to that as a ring-tailed lemur or something ridiculous like that. Okay? Great. Keep me posted.

Third Person: It wasn't often, Charles thought, that he got an evening to himself. But after the mess the boys had gotten themselves into, he figured he could let them stew in it for a little while while the Klokateers went through their usual damage control gamut. They were all well-trained for concert fallout such as this - even if the summoning of an ancient lake troll wasn't exactly covered in the PowerPoints. He set the bath in his hotel room to draw, then padded out to the room in his hotel bathrobe and drew back the curtains, contemplating the panorama of Finland stretched out in front of them. It was picturesque, even with the forests at the outskirts of town on fire, and he cracked open the hotel bar to fix himself a drink.

"Just a few hours," he mumbled to himself, pouring a nip bottle into a glass and swirling the amber liquor, watching it cling briefly to the sides. "Kick back, take a moment. Get it all in order."

It was all he needed, now - a few moments here and there, small things, snatches of luxury or normality to balance out the insanity that came with managing five of the most ignorant man-children he's ever known. He hadn't necessarily known since Day One that it was all about the band: but even before he discovered the Church, he had a feeling. Those first scratchy, crappy little demos Nathan recorded in his garage unearthed something he'd buried long ago, and dragged up something else along with it - there was power in the music, power and something deeper. The sort of something that could summon lake trolls.

Fucking lake trolls. God, this was either going to be a PR nightmare or just the sort of boost they'd need between albums. Knocking back the first sip of his drink, Charles moved back in to check on his bath. If he could just have the night to think about it all, plan it out, figure out how to spin it - they'd be golden. Maybe he'd even have a little time to watch the crappy hotel cable before he crashed for the night.

That was, of course, when the riots started downtown, and some panicked Finn ran into a telephone pole, plunging his plush hotel suite into darkness.

"... Well, ****."
