Ken "the Yandere" Amada 2/?

[identity profile] lovesnotwisely.livejournal.com 2009-10-16 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Character: Ken Amada

Fandom: Persona 3

Character Notes:

History: (Taken from [livejournal.com profile] mayfield_rpg application and [livejournal.com profile] moksa_u application) So when Ken was 9, right, his mom was killed in front of him by—died protecting him from— Shinjiro's out-of-control persona. No matter how much he explained to the police, no one believed him and just attributed his mother's death to a freak accident. So Ken was like “Screw this shit” and decided if no one else would do something about his mom's murderer, then he would.
AND HIS EPIC REVENGE PLOT BEGAN.
So he was basically just an orphan for two years, staying in the elementary school dorms, until Ikutsuki invited him to live in the SEES dorm during the summer because “having him stay in the elementary dorm just wouldn't be right” (read: “he has the potential to summon personas let's use him”). He eventually joins up with them of his own will (FOR REVENGE), and becomes a member of the team! : D
Until October fourth.
When he's like. “MY NAME IS KEN AMADA. YOU KILLED MY MOTHER. PREPARE TO DIE.” at Shinjiro. Except not in those words, but that's basically the gist of it. And Shinji's like “WELL IF YOU KILL ME YOU'LL BE LIKE ME” and Ken's like “... >(” But then Takaya—the leader of this eeeevil organization called Strega—comes by and is like “OH HE'S GONNA DIE ANYWAY, AND I KNOW YOU'RE SUICIDAL, SMALL 11 YEAR OLD BOY” and Ken's like “OH GODDAMNIT.” Takaya then asks Ken who in SEES has the power to detect shadows/personas/etc. Trying to protect Fuuka, and because he feels his life has no worth any longer, Ken says that he's the one. And just as Takaya's about to shoot him, Shinjiro gets in the way.
Before he dies, Shinjiro tells Ken he's just a kid with his whole life ahead of him and not to waste it like this.
Robbed of his revenge and his facade, Ken runs away from the dorm, basically gives up on living, and is later found by Akihiko who tells him that it's his decision what he does with his life (“You can stay in this place until you die, if that's what you want”), but reminds him that, while Ken's alone, he still has the will to fight, and reminds him that he's been standing on his own two feet. It's this resolution that enables Ken to keep going, and allows his persona to evolve into Kala-Nemi.
After this, Ken basically lives his time in the SEES dorm, fighting with them until it's revealed that the end of the world is coming. He decides, along with the rest of them, to fight to the end—to save the world or die trying. And, indeed they save the world, and like the rest of SEES, he loses his memories of the dark hour and everything that happened there for a month... When he regains his memories, it's only just before Minato dies.
The only really major part Ken has in The Answer is his fight—he fights alongside Akihiko to not go back and save Minato. He understands that Minato chose to die. He had a reason, and even if they don't understand it, it doesn't mean that they shouldn't respect it.
It's assumed that he went to live in another dorm after the SEES one closed, but nothing is really expanded upon—Ken's role in SEES is kinda minor >| Not enough love for this child.

↳ When William tries to start Glee again, she tells him that he has to take over her study halls.

↳ Her primary goal is to destroy the Glee club from the inside out, and take back her status as top dog within the school.

↳ Her plans have involved: sending an elderly woman to the hospital so that she can place William's wife in the school, blackmail the principal with one of his videos for Air India, plant her own Cheerios in the Glee club so that they can tear it apart and she's even gone in herself to destroy them.

First Person (entry type):

Well, well, well, the internet. If this isn't where people go when they're in denial of being a hermit and find themselves too unhygienic for human interaction. Here I was thinking about making my dearest journal going public, where people can read about finding success from the depths of their empty unfulfilled lives, and I find you lot.

A philanthropist would suggest that I help you bunch of losers, but I believe in the food chain. If I made just one of you bottom feeders a lion or a tiger, who knows how I might rupture the sheer fabric of what is the social food ladder.

Who is this woman that has terrified me to my very core, you ask? This, paragon of what an iron fist dictator should be? This epitome of ruling with fear? My name is Susan Sylvester, and you're all what humanity would be if we legalized inbreeding in the United States.

And that's how Susan Cs it.

Third Person:

The woman is a tyrant, a fiend. The Spanish Armada would have wanted her at the helm of their prized navy to win the fight against the British. It was rumored that she didn't have a class to teach because by the time school started, she had to fly to Russia to meet with Prime Minister Putin to teach him how to properly run the KGB.

Or, at least, those were the rumors that were circulating because she had scare the shit out of her students again. To Susan, those rumors weren't something that she felt she needed to work on. No, no, no, for Susan Sylvester, those were the seeds for the fruits of her labor. She wasn't a pussy instructor that cared about if her students had a safe place to fully express themselves. Nor wasn't she the instructor who cared that one of her cheerleaders fell off a bridge and shattered her entire left side. If that young woman could still do a triple flip, that young woman was going to do a triple flip. Pain was no reason to quit, and neither was a full body cast.

So, when she had heard about the reemergence of that plankton-esque club, Glee, she had thought nothing of it. Perhaps it had been a mistake, the lion had got too cocky and now the lamb was dangling itself in front of her.

"Dammit, this isn't Twilight," She told herself one morning while she consumed her daily smoothie of raw egg, sauteed chicken with extra hormone and mashed up potatoes, "I will not be the wimpy vampire with the bad actress lamb in front of me. No Stephanie Myer. Not on my watch."

Susan Sylvester had a goal. And that goal was to crush the Glee club and everything it stood for: equality, being yourself, being civil to other students and most importantly.

Joy.

Are you at least 15?: That plus some!
Current Characters: Joker, Emo, Christopher Johnson, HAL9000 and Ryan Evans

Character: Hikaru Sulu
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Character Notes:
History: A lot of XI!Sulu's history is similar to his TOS counterpart - that is, he was born in San Francisco, is part Japanese and part Filipino, and he's the USS Enterprise's navigator. He's also got a pretty intense Starfleet record: he was the top of his astrosciences class and advanced botany, he founded the European Swordsmanship Club at Starfleet and helped save the Earth by being the awesome navigator of the Enterprise during the Nero crisis. Of course, he was only in that position because the original helmsman was sick, but that's beside the point.

Sulu's got two very notable heroic experiences to go by from this universe. Firstly, he pretty much saved Kirk's life in a fight with two Romulans due to his kickass swordfighting skills; Kirk was quick to pay him back by jumping after him when he fell, so they're even now. The second time around, Sulu used his piloting skills to warp right into the middle of a dogfight between Spock and Nero, saving the Vulcan's ass.

These are pretty much all the important parts of this continuity in relation to Sulu.

Personality: XI!Sulu is a pretty chill guy. He's fairly calm and collected as seen by his ability to quickly navigate through the wreckage of numerous starships near Vulcan. He has a passion for both fencing and botany, both of which he's highly skilled in, and uses a lot of his downtime to tend to various plants he keeps on the Enterprise. He can be a little snarky from time to time, but when he gets put in his place (coughparkingbreakcough) he takes it like a man. He's generally easy to get along with and knows how to balance his attitude between respectfulness and fraternal, which is a great ability to have when you live on a ship with guys like Jim Kirk.

Additional Links: Here are some Wiki links: Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikaru_Sulu) and Memory Alpha (http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Hikaru_Sulu_(alternate_reality)).

Hikaru Sulu - 2/2

[identity profile] devilishkurumi.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
First Person (entry type): I know that a lot of people don't always appreciate plants the way I do, and it's really nice that everyone wants to help my collection out, but I don't know how to explain that I already have six house ferns, five different types of basil and thirteen Earth-variety Venus flytraps and I really don't need any more. I don't even know why they think that flytraps are so special - there are almost a dozen carnivorous plants in my collection already and most of them are from planets we've only just been to. I mean, they're cute and all, but I'm a little more interested in the plants that devour cows, rather than insects.

Still, the sentiment is nice. Maybe I should just let more people into the greenhouse to see all the stuff I already have... That might spark some creativity.

Third Person: For the first few moments of freefall, Sulu found himself in that strange state between utter terror and complete complacency with the situation. He tried to do what he'd been raised to believe he'd do when faced with his impending death - that is, reflect on his life and the meaning of it - but instead, all he could think was:

Vulcan is going to die and I can't help it.

It seemed like a silly thing to think of at that particular point in time, considering that he had more important things to worry about, but nonetheless it was the most important thing to him at that moment. (Behind it, of course, were the usual thoughts - that he'll miss Starfleet, that his one great move was to screw up the Enterprise's maiden voyage, that at least he helped destroy the drill, even if it was too late to do anything...)

When he saw Kirk follow him over the edge he wanted to scream at the other in irritation, even though he had this very strong feeling that Kirk, of all people, knew what he was doing. When the other grasped him by the arms and screamed at him about his chute, Sulu had the sudden realization that this might not be over quite yet. He might still be able to help Vulcan - or at least, help avenge it. He might be able to leave more of a legacy with Starfleet. He might...

The chute ripped away from them; they began to fall fast again and all Sulu could do was wonder what kind of superstition he had broken to get this kind of treatment.

Character: Matt [aka Mail Jeevas]
Fandom: Death Note (Manga)

Character Notes:
History:
Not much is known about Matt's history, but we do know that; like Mello, Matt was also a former orphan at Wammy's in Winchester, England.

What is known, is that while Matt was say to be one of the top intelligent children (third, to be exact), he wasn't very interested in the plans that Wammy's House really had planned for the children; the becoming of the next 'L'.

Aside from the intelligence factor and where he was raised, Matt was seemingly quite a normal child. The was no doubt that he wouldn't have any problem making friends, however not being very social; it seems as though Matt really only made a connection with two other residents. Mello, and Near. It's a little fuzzy what happens during these years, but what is known is that when they split ways, Matt very clearly kept contact with Mello.

Like Mello, L, and Near; he goes by aliases as well when he works; all too careful to never leave traces of himself behind. Also, Matt is relatively young; only reaching the age of nineteen before his death; however he is extremely skilled in electronic technology. He can hack into just about any system without question, without much difficulty

Even with such a small role in visual canon, it's been stated by his creators that he has a very important background role in aiding Mello with achieving his goals even though there isn't much to be known about him.

Personality:
Matt is anti-social to a fault; to the point where his major dislike is 'going outside'. However this aside, he's general a nice person. His attitude is laid back and calm, and his temper doesn't seem to be very evident. He's almost the exactly opposite of his partner, Mello. Matt would no doubt have trouble making friends, he just doesn't want them. Mello is easily Matt's closest friend, and the one person he has the most interaction with in his life at the moment.

He's also an extremely dedicated video gamer. There's a good chance that if the game is available, he's played it (and if not, hell he could just hack into something and download it probably if he wanted it badly enough >>;). For those that are close enough to be considering a 'friend' and get to see his more relaxed side, he'd probably be thought of as a bit of a dork and a little awkward; from lack of socializing; surely. Video games being the top of his conversation, and probably not much more.

Working under aliases and false faces however there's a good chance that Matt would also be good at faking things from personality to his level of comfort - but not so drastic that it strays from the core of who he is

[identity profile] was-atrickster.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:
History:
“The moon used to have a lover, kuakuoku. But when another spirit, the trickster, got jealous of their love, he told kuakuoku that the moon had asked for wild roses. So Kuakuoku came down to earth to pick some for her. But Kuakuoku didn't know that once a spirit left the spirit world and came into ours, they could never go back. So now, every night he looks up at the moon and howls her name. Kuakuoku means wolverine.”

Kayla is a part of a special breed of humans, mutants. She has the ability to persuade others to do whatever she wants them to, just so long as she touches them. Once she gives them an order, or a suggestion, they will follow it even without her touch. But she is not the only one in her family with an extraordinary gift.

Her younger sister, Emma, also has a gift. Her skin becomes that of diamonds and can guard against anything. It is a powerful gift and a very useful one, and others know this as well.

When Emma is taken by Stryker for experimentation and study, Kayla does not willingly let her go. Instead, she strikes a deal with Stryker to protect her little sister. She’ll work for him, complete his mission, and in return he would let Emma go. Kayla didn’t think about the consequences, because at the time there were none for her. All there was to do was protect Emma and bring her home safely.

Meeting Logan had been almost simple for her. Settling into a normal and easy life with him in Canada flowed too easily. Their relationship seemed too comfortable and too right sometimes. At first it had been easy for Kayla to think of Logan as only a mission. But as six years between them went by he became more to her than a mission. The love she felt for him was real. He was the Wolverine to her Moon.

Or so he always thought.

The day came for Stryker’s original plan to be carried out. Victor came for Kayla, and she went along with the plan to fake her death at Victor’s hands. The idea was to anger Wolverine, to give him a reason to return to Stryker. And the plan had worked perfectly. Wolverine began to hunt Victor, knowing that he was tied to Stryker somehow and someway.

When Wolverine finally found Stryker, he allowed him to fuse a new and indestructible metal with his frame so that he could hunt Victor down and kill him. When the operation was a success, Wolverine learned of Stryker’s intentions to wipe his memory and erase Kayla from his past. He ran then, and intended to never look back. But Stryker wanted his creation back and hunted him down, killing innocents around him even. That was when Wolverine realized the only way to escape Stryker’s hold was to kill him.

Wolverine returned to Stryker’s base to kill Stryker and free the other mutants he had hunted down, but Stryker had told him if he chased this path he would find answers he never wanted to know. And he hadn’t lied.

Devit [2/3]

[personal profile] idgiebay 2009-10-19 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:

History:

Unfortunately, there hasn't been much revealed about Devit's history other than the fact that he and Jasdero were once one Noah called Jasdevi before they split in two. When or why this happened is never stated. I think it'd be safe to assume, however, that either Devit himself or Jasdevi was ridiculed by humanity at some point, because the guy's got some major issues with monsters, as evidenced by Jasdevi calling Krory a monster over and over and then pausing once Krory asked if humans have said the same of him. In the anime, he even thinks back on that moment after shouting, "Monsters shouldn't exist in this world!"

Yeah, his issues are... pretty transparent, I think.

As far as their history in the anime and manga goes, Devit and Jasdero were first assigned to kill Cross, but they failed spectacularly at it. Four times, in fact. Each time, Cross sent them on a wild goose chase while racking up debt and leaving them with the bills, which--in the anime--they actually paid off a bit of by doing cleanup work in a few taverns. Eventually, they got fed up and went back to the Ark, where they tried to force the debt onto Allen. After being mocked by Krory, though, they merged and took the form of Jasdevi, at which point an epic battle with Krory ensued.

The battle ended with Jasdevi being infected by Krory’s Innocence. They separated, fell into an abyss, and weren't seen again until the latest chapter. How the Innocence affected them remains to be seen, though. Their appearance was contained to two panels in which they looked kind of... out of it, so we shall see.

Personality:

Devit is, to all intents and purposes, a teenager, and he encompasses all of the worst stereotypes of an angry teenage boy. He's rambunctious, full of himself, upset with the world, likes to talk big, and--among many other things--takes his anger out on other people. (Assuming he was like that before his Noah awoke, I can only imagine what having the power to materialize anything he wanted must have done to his ego.) He also enjoys having fun, especially at the expense of other people, and isn’t above playing psychological games, like making Allen believe Cross was on the Ark by materializing things that would undoubtedly remind Allen of his master.

For all that, though, he’s also extremely insecure about himself. Such insecurity only fuels his anger, and when people make him feel insecure (like Krory did with the whole 'monster' thing), that’s when he gets REALLY angry. During his fight on Noah's Ark, up until Lenalee basically called him and Jasdero immature and Krory called them brats, they'd practically been playing with Allen and company. Their initial intent was to make Allen pay for the debts Cross left them with; killing him wasn’t their primary goal, but hey, if it happened it happened--it was all part of their game. Before they got angry, that is. That’s when play time was over and killing time began.

Other:

On his own, Devit can't do much, but with Jasdero, anything they imagine together will materialize in reality. For example, they carry gold pistols that aren't loaded, yet all they have to do is simultaneously think about loading the bullets, and it happens. It's the same tactic they use to merge into Jasdevi.

Together, he and Jasdero represent the "bonds of Noah". I have... no idea what that means, to be honest, and we haven't been given many clues. At one point in the anime, Road says, "It may be their strongest weapon, but it's also their Achilles' heel. Bonds that are too strong create flaws over time."

ヨハン・トリニティ☆彡 (Pt. 2)

[identity profile] vonkarmas.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Character Notes:
History:
↳ Johann is the eldest Trinity sibling, with brother Michael and sister Nena behind him. They are the genetically engineered children of Ribbons Almark and are perfectly aware of this, but not of who had specifically made them.

↳ After they were created and activated, Laguna Harvey was assigned their superior. The team was then given a spaceship, their Gundams and secrets about Celestial Being.

↳ The Trinity siblings are introduced in battle. They are there to save the original Gundam Meisters from getting their asses kicked. Johann appears when his trinity is blasting out Patrick (an AEU pilot) to save Tieria.

↳ The siblings continue to kick ass, kill people and make their gateway. They leave with no one having any information on these seemingly mysterious Trinity pilots.

↳ Off somewhere in space, the Trinity siblings review the history of the Gundam pilots. As they are new, they are being evaluated for their actions and whether or not they should be considered ‘Gundam Meisters.’ After realizing that if the Thrones hadn’t swooped in to save the day, the original Gundams would’ve been caught.

↳ They are unanimously accepted as new Gundams.

↳ The Trinities meet the Ptolemaios, greeting most of the people on board. Johann cannot answer many of their questions pertaining to their missions and Gundams, but says they have the same agenda to ‘eradicate war’.

↳ After this meeting, the Trinities move on to their own missions. They nuke the MSWAD base in what is implied as an assassination to Eifman. Johann and Nena demonstrate the GN mega launcher which is capable of destroying large buildings and the base. The siblings are successful in killing Leif Eifman and they continue to fight the Over Flags squad.

↳ Soon, the Trinities have made out seven armed interventions on military bases; successfully destroying them all. They aren’t winning people in their favor they do not find what they are doing wrong.

↳ In Iowa, Johann attacks the Iris factory which kills a large number of civilian workers. This leads to a fight between him and Graham. Due to the deaths of his comrades, Graham is more vicious in his attacks and manages to cut off the Throne Eins' right arm. This leads Johann to retreat and makes his younger brother, Michael, surprised he couldn’t handle the pilot.

↳ The siblings spot Setsuna’s Gundam Exia who initiates a fight to them. Johann tries reasoning with Setsuna but he does not accept them as Gundams. Too many innocent people have died at their hands. A fight ensues.

↳ Tieria arrives to back Setsuna up. As Johann and Nena attempt to team up again, Tieria swiftly intervenes. But as Nena had interfered with Veda and its Level 7 prior to this, they are timely saved from a direct blow when Tieria had gained the upper-hand.

↳ When the Gundam Thrones regroup again, they are shot at by Lockon’s Dynames. To prevent the battle from growing, Johann lets out that Lockon’s real name is Neil Dylandy and that Setsuna was partly responsible for the death of Lockon’s family. This allows the Trinities to escape.

↳ In Africa where the Trinity base is held, the siblings complain about the lack of missions. Not only do they receive a mission but Wang Liu Mei enters the base. She introduces to them that she is a Celestial Being agent. Michael and Nena are reluctant to believe her but Johann states that he’ll rely on her help in the future.

↳ As the team moves into China, they are interrupted by another battle. This time the opponents are a new group of HRL mobile suits, all emitting GN particles. The Trinities have difficulty trying to fight them and they are defeated. Another battle like this comes shortly after for the sibling team.

↳ The Trinity siblings are now on the run with low GN particles and having to resort to eating canned food. Remembering Wang’s word, Johann calls for her assistance. She agrees to the circumstances but warns them about the incoming fleet of the UN’s mobile suits. As they battle it out (again), they are on the verge of losing and retreat as soon as they can.

Character: Rose Tyler
Fandom: Doctor Who
Character Notes:
History: She was a shop girl turned companion from the day the strange man with the big ears and leather jacket took her hand and said, "run" (Okay I lied. It was when he said, "did I mention it travels through time as well?"). Since then, she had been traveling with the Doctor (even saw his regeneration from Mr big ears to tall skinny bloke with great hair- long story, looked into the TARDIS, bad wolf, "I think you need a Doctor" she doesn't remember much what happened), until one fateful day when Cybermen and Daleks threatened the Earth. It was an epic event, but she was stuck in a parallel universe, with no Doctor. Well, Rose Tyler is not one to sit around and accept that. She worked for Torchwood in her world, and with their help created a dimension canon to go between worlds. She was finally going to see the Doctor again! Yet it turned out, now both worlds needed the Doctor- the stars were going out. Another epic adventure later, and the worlds were safe (for now). And once again, the Doctor made a decision for her. She was back on this parallel world with his meta-crisis. That was a good thing, wasn't it? ...wasn't it?

Personality: Stubborn, clever, optimistic, can be a bit of a flirt, tries to smile through everything, very loving.

Other: I play her as slightly broken. Her heart has been torn to pieces, but because of her stubborn attitude, she has mended them over and over again- it's bound to come back every now and then. I also play her still in love with the Doctor- the REAL Doctor, after having tried to love the meta-crisis.

(( takes place during Rose's final scene in Doomsday, after he faded. ))

"Rose Tyler..." And he was gone...faded.

What were you gonna say?! Doctor, what were you gonna say?! I continued to stand there, crying...my chest...it hurt so much. I felt like someone ripped my heart out and let it come back like a rubberband pulled too far.

He burned up a sun to say good bye...I can't stand it!

I promised you forever!

Why?!

I remembered that I wasn't alone. Through my tears, I turned and tried to smile to them- I'm all right...really I am.

But they could see right through me. Mum, Dad, Mickey...

My mum comes running towards me and I ran to her. I needed her.

Oh mum, he's gone...he's gone...he's gone...

I continued crying until my eyes couldn't take anymore. I don't remember how long it was before we decided to leave that beach. All I remember is that I didn't speak to anyone, and no one asked questions. They knew the answers anyway.

But they didn't know that I had a goal now. I know what the Doctor was going to say, and I was going to find him.

I'll come back to you Doctor. I promised you forever, remember?

History: There's nothing particular in Patrick's past that's important. He's an average 80's yuppie kind of guy, his life has been average, his friends are normal, and he completely fits in.

But . . .
Personality: He's a cipher, and he knows it. He knows it and hates it. He regularly commits horrible crimes in the vain hope of being noticed. He hallucinates constantly. He kills men, rapes women, eats children. And through it all he's still a shallow, smarmy idiot. He doesn't want to be, but he does.
Other: A very big part of the theme of American Psycho is that everyone around him is so self-absorbed that no one notices that he's homicidally insane. Part of why I want him on DDD is for the sheer delight he's going to feel when people notice him.

Character: Saber
Fandom: Fate/stay night
Character Notes:
History:

In the Holy Grail Wars, there are seven classes of Servants: Archer, Assassin, Berserker, Caster, Lancer, Rider, and Saber. Among these, the Saber class is generally accepted to be the best one there is, and the one that most Masters hope to draw with their summons, what with its high marks in all areas of battle, high magic defenses, and even possessing the skill of riding.

The Servant of Shirou Emiya, Saber is summoned by accident when the boy is attacked and nearly killed by Lancer after witnessing Archer and Lancer's battle after school, her first words to him being "I ask of you...are you my master?" Driving Lancer away, she then moves to attack Archer as well, but is stopped by Emiya. It is then that she, along with Rin Tohsaka and Kirei Kotomine, begin to explain the basics of the Grail Wars to a reluctant Emiya. It isn't discovered until later on that she fought in the previous Grail War (the Fourth is detailed further in Fate/Zero), and was the Servant of Emiya's adoptive father, Kitsurugu Emiya.

Her true identity is that of King Arthur. Yes, that King Arthur. Born to King Uther and Igraine, her name was Arturia Pendragon; upon realizing his people wouldn't accept a female monarch, she is instead raised as a surrogate son by Sir Ector. When Arturia turns fifteen however, Uther dies, and England enters a dark age, with the Saxons wreaking havoc on the empire with their threats of invasion. It is this time that Merlin - who had entrusted Arturia to Sir Ector in the first place - comes forth, explaining to the youth that she will be accepted by the people if she is able to draw Caliburn from its stone sheath. Regardless of her age and gender, Arturia does so, and assumes the British throne, ruling from Camelot as a just but distant king along with her Knights of the Round Table. She takes possession of Excalibur when Caliburn is destroyed, and with the sacred sheath Avalon - given to her by the Lady of the Lake - Arturia is both ageless and immortal in battle.

The time of peace unfortunately, comes to an end; during a battle, Excalibur's sheath is stolen, and when she returns to her land, she finds England thrown into civil unrest; despite her emotional sacrifices for the good of the country, the people are critical of her apparent lack of humanity. In her attempts to calm the peoples' dissent, she is fatally wounded by a traitorous knight during the Battle of Camlann. Sir Bedivere and Morgan le Fay bring Arturia back to a holy isle, where Bedivere is commanded to throw Avalon back to the Lady of the Lake; when she is left alone, Arturia reflects on her life, regretting her monarchy, and appeals to become a Heroic Spirit so that if she wins the Holy Grail, she can wish for the opportunity to relive her life and not pull the sword from the stone.

Saber (2/idk)

[identity profile] kuja-rang.livejournal.com 2009-10-20 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Since her plea was made when she was still alive - after each War, she returns to her dying body unless she wins or forfeits to await the next one - Saber is unable to turn into a Spirit. However, she also remembers the events of the previous War, which Servants are generally unable to do (the only other exception to this rule is Gilgamesh). She cannot be any other class but Saber, unlike several other Epic Heroes, who are able to be in different classes (i.e. Cu Cuchulain can be either Lancer [which we know him as in Fate/stay night] or Berserker, and Hercules [Berserker] can be any class save for Caster).

Personality:

Saber is seemingly cold at first, devoted entirely to the Holy Grail Wars and hopefully finally achieving victory, In actuality, she swallows back her emotions in order to focus entirely on her goals. She is also extremely loyal, as seen in both her actions in life as Arturia, and in the way she protects her Master; this also displays her independence, as she is easily bewildered and irritated by Emiya's constant attempts to protect and prevent her from fighting. In the beginning, she isn't bashful, either; when Emiya goes into the bathroom to bathe and accidentally walks in on a nude Saber, she turns and speaks to him, growing irritated when he won't look at her, for she doesn't consider herself a woman, but only a Servant. It's later on in the series when she and Emiya begin developing feelings for each other that Saber is modest about her appearance, and even blushes on occasion. Despite her small stature, she is a strong warrior, going up against the likes of Berserker, Assassin, Rider, and Gilgamesh without fear.

Other:

I wasn't kidding when I said Saber is small compared to the other Servants; she stands only five feet tall, and weighs in at 92.5 lbs. She has blonde hair, green eyes, and type O blood, and her birthday is stated as May 13. In both official art and fanart alike, Saber is associated with the lion (appropriately enough, as they are both "kings" in a sense), and she is even given a toy lion in both the animé and game. If there is one thing Saber does love though, it is food; she can clear a dinner table on her own and ask for seconds without batting an eye.

I will be taking her mainly from the anime (which mainly follows the Fate route of the visual novel), after she's defeated Rider, which will definitely throw her for a loop when she notices the latter's presence here. |3

Character: Elle Bishop
Fandom: Heroes
Character Notes:
History: When Elle was 6 years old, she accidentally set her grandmother’s house on fire.

At 8, she caused a blackout in four counties in Ohio.

She spent her 9th birthday in a glass room with an IV of Lithium in her arm.

She threatened to kill the psychologists who diagnosed her as a sociopath with paranoid delusions, so she spent the next 16 years in The Company’s prison facility. How much time was spent as an inmate versus as an agent of The Company is unknown, but she was experimented on at the behest of her own father for years. The Haitian has removed any specific memories of this experimentation, but it was enough to turn her into the sadistic lunatic that she is today.

She has never been on a date, or a roller coaster, or gone swimming.

Her first chronological assignment that we know of us one in which she is partnered with Noah Bennet to observe Gabriel Gray, prior to his identity switch into Sylar. After preventing his suicide, she develops a bond with him that keeps him from feeling the desire to kill. However, the Company orders that she and Noah provide Gabriel with a list of people with abilities so that they can witness his ability in action. Elle tries to refuse, realizing she has feelings for Gabriel, but is strong-armed into going along with it. She appears to feel some guilt over helping create Sylar.

She is charged with taking care of Peter and making sure that he takes his medication while he is “checked in” to the Company’s facility, and she develops an attachment to him to the extent that when he escapes with Adam, she shocks him and sets him on fire as he escapes. She is also charged with recovering him, and follows him as far as Ireland when her father makes her come back because she killed Rick.

When she returns to the states, she is kidnapped by Noah Bennet as collateral for Claire’s return. From there she basically continues to fuck up until Sylar kills her dad, then she gets fired, and then her powers go haywire, she chills with Claude the Invisible Man in England, then meets Daphne who recommends she go to Pinehearst. She takes Claire on a flight where they bond and become biffles, then ditches Claire when she gets to Pinehearst. After ~*bonding with Sylar*~ over ~*forgiving each other*~, they begin working together as Pinehearst agents. And then they become tragic fucked up lovers and then Sylar kills her. The end.
Personality: Elle is said to be a cautionary tale of what would happen to the heroes if they had been aware of their powers since birth. The experimentation and memory loss thereafter led her to become sadistic and simultaneously infantile. She has the mental capacity of a child. She has a tendency to develop shallow affectionate attachments to all of the men she meets - Peter, Mohinder, and Gabriel - which mirror, though to a lesser degree, her insatiable desire to live up to her father's expectations and get his commendation.

She does have a few deeper emotions - she feels guilt about being a part of turning Gabriel Gray into Sylar, and she feels guilt about abandoning Claire at the Pinehearst institute after she'd helped her, but she generally is an open book. She doesn't hold back her feelings, always loudly complaining or becoming aggressive or overly cheerful. The only time she shows real restraint is around her father and Angela Petrelli - her father because she wants to please him, and Angela because she's the new boss of the Company.

She's a natural cynic and pessimist, and she thrives off sarcasm and adrenaline. She creates excitement in missions even if it costs them some ease of completing it.

Other: Elle has the ability to create and manipulate electricity at varying voltages - from a spark to an electrical surge. I'll be taking her from the end of 3x09 when she's working in the Pinehearst facility with Sylar.

I really hate the rain. I don't think I can say that enough. I mean, you'd think they'd learn not to send me places where it would be a problem, but I guess Daddy will make sure it doesn't happen again.

Whatever! [A pause, hitch in her breathing as if she just notices something.]

Heyyyy, I didn't turn that on. What's this? Some kind of computer virus? Daddy's gonna be mad when he finds out something got past his security... Ducks, though, that's cute I guess. Well, no, baby ducks are cute. The big ones are just kind of gross looking. Anyway!

[to herself] Hey, you know, I bet Daddy will forgive me for messing up the mission if I find out who's doing this! [into the microphone] Hey, ducky ducky duckies~ I'm Elle, and I'm going to be your new favorite person until you tell me how to fix this.

Third Person:
One of us, and one of them. That's how it always was within the company and Elle kind of liked it that way. Sure, Noah Bennet was boring, and sure, he was all ~*serious*~ all the time, but that made him more fun to make angry. And, she did. Often.

Their assignment was to pick up Fitzgerald and bring him to level 5. Bag and tag was one of Elle's favorite parts of the job because it meant she got to play. They'd cornered him into an alley and Elle just couldn't help but think of what an idiot he was when he went ape and his tattoos lit up like christmas lights. Really, it was like he didn't realize she was a human taser. So, she rolled her eyes as Noah continued threatening, gun brandished.

"Boys." She held out one hand, a ball of blue lightning gathering in it. "Would you just let me handle this?" It was direct at Noah and she sent the ball hurling in Michael's direction. It knocked him off his feet and a trashcan next to him caught fire from his hands. Elle didn't pay attention. Instead, she collected more lightning and began a continuous shock, giggling when she saw the way his body twitched. It took Noah's hand on her shoulder, shaking her, to get her to stop.

"What are you doing?" He demanded, "Bob wants him alive." She pouted for a moment, then stopped, dropping her hands to her hips.

"I'm just having a little fun, Mr. B. He'll be back at 100% in no time," she cast a look in Michael's direction and tried to hide her smile. "Well, maybe not. But, he'll live! He's a champ, he'll walk it off."

Character: Inuyasha

Fandom: Gee, I wonder…

Character Notes:

History: With as long as the series is, I’ll try to give you the short SHORT version.
Inuyasha’s a half demon, born to a powerful dog demon and a human mother. Never known father, mother died when he was just a kid. Had a very sucky childhood.

Many years later (when he’s around 100 years old), he tries to steal the Shikon no Tama in order to become a full demon. Doesn’t work out to well when he runs into the priestess Kikyou, and ends up falling in love with her. When he’s about to become a human and live with her, they’re tricked by the evil demon Naraku, and Inuyasha is pinned to a tree for 50 years. Sadness!

Jump ahead 50 years. He’s awoken and released by Kagome, tries to get the jewel, and instead gets a stupid necklace that forces him to faceplant whenever Kagome says ‘sit’. Things happen, jewel breaks into many many pieces. Inuyasha is not amused. So he’s forced to team up with Kagome in order to find the many many pieces, and along the way they meet up with Shippou, Miroku, and Sango. During their journey, he gains a cool sword called Tetsusaiga, fights a lot with his brother, Sesshoumaru, angsts over the resurrected Kikyou, fights a lot with the main villain, Naraku, and has a lot of really unnecessary fights with a bunch of pointless demons.

Along the way, he falls in love with Kagome, and after a whole bunch of power-ups that he doesn’t even use in the long run, they come to the final battle with Naraku. One thing leads to another, Kagome purifies the jewel, and they live happily ever after. Well, before the last part, Kagome kinda disappears back into her own time, and Inuyasha is forced to wait around for three years until she comes back. It’s then hinted that they are married, and THEN they live happily ever after. Maybe.

Inuyasha 2/3

[identity profile] akushou.livejournal.com 2009-10-22 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Personality: Well, most obvious point is that Inuyasha is EXTREMELY foul tempered. He does have a soft side to him, but for the most part, he’s just an ass. He’s crude, he’s violent, and he doesn’t think before he opens his mouth. He’s also more of a ‘hit first, ask questions later’ kind of man. It also takes a while for him to trust anyone, mainly because of Kikyou’s ‘betrayal’ and his shitty childhood.

So wait, I said he has a soft side, right? Well, he does. It’s just not shown very often. Inuyasha is indeed capable of loving, as he fell in love with Kikyou and, later on, Kagome. He also cared about his mother very much when she was alive, although he doesn’t like discussing her with others now that she’s dead. If Inuyasha cares enough for someone, as he does his friends, then he will protect them no matter what. It’s this side of him that allows for Inuyasha to wield his beloved sword, the Tetsusaiga. Surprisingly enough, he’s also capable of crying, although he only does it twice in the whole show. The first time is when he thought Kagome had died, and the second is when Kikyou ACTUALLY dies. The former time, he was caught crying and instantly denied it. Inuyasha doesn’t like showing weaknesses, even though most demons think that he’s weak just by being a hanyou.

Oh yeah. And then there’s the angst. Whenever Kikyou’s involved, Inuyasha will angst like no other except maybe Sasuke. He’s torn between his past love of Kikyou and his current budding relationship with Kagome. This point is brought up WAY too often, and finally comes to an end with Kikyou’s very delayed death.

It should also be mentioned that he becomes a human once a month, too, and when that happens, he seems to develop a gentler personality. The opposite happens when he loses Tetsusaiga and morphs into a full-demon mode, where he goes around killing basically everyone. He regrets it later.

He also has extreme brotherly issues. He hacks off his brother’s arm and doesn’t even care. ‘Nough said.

Other: I’ll be taking him from early on in the series, so he’ll have met Kagome already, but it’ll probably be before Kikyou is brought back.

Current Characters: I’m dropping Jackson and Nathan, deciding on what to do with Harvey this weekend and keeping House.

Character:Leonard McCoy
Fandom: Star Trek XI
Character Notes:
History:
Leonard Horatio McCoy was born in 2227, growing up in the ‘old South’ of America. He went to the University of Mississippi, eventually med school where he gained his license as a practicing doctor. His father, David McCoy, was stricken with a painful terminal disease, begging Leonard to give up his research of the cure and essentially pull the plug. McCoy eventually gave in to his father’s request, only for the cure to be discovered soon after David’s death. The decision haunted Leonard for years.

Leonard married an unnamed woman and had a daughter, Joanna, though much of his life with his family unexplained. Something occurred which tore the couple apart, leading to a nasty divorce in which McCoy presumably ‘lost the planet’ and turned to join Starfleet despite his fear of both space and flying since he had nowhere else to go. On the same flight that took him to the Starfleet Academy he James Kirk, a man who would prove to change the course of his life forever. The two became good friends during the three years they were in school.

At school McCoy was the top of his class in anatomical and forensic and created the Academy's first astrophobia seminar.

During Kirk’s academic trial the cadets were sent out to Vulcan after receiving a distress call from the planet. Kirk was barred from joining due to his probation, and McCoy decided to help his friend gain access to the ships. He injected Kirk with a vaccine that would insure side effects and bullied his and Kirk’s way onto the shuttle, citing a regulation that attending physicians had the right to keep their patients along.

They successfully made it onto the ship, though Kirk’s reaction to the vaccine was slowly growing worse. He chased after as Kirk went to warn the bridge of the immediate danger at Vulcan. Kirk’s warning proved to be right and the Enterprise was attacked as soon as it reached the scene by an unidentified ship that had killed Kirk’s father years before. While on the bridge the medical bay had suffered a hit, the Chief of Medicine killed in the blast. McCoy worked through the rubble, appointed the new CMO after the former’s death by Spock, who had been named acting Captain while Captain Pike was summoned to the ship.

Despite the ship’s efforts Vulcan was destroyed, many of the Vulcan elders surviving besides Spock’s mother. Kirk and Spock argued on the bridge over what road to take, McCoy taking Spock’s more logical side and irately watching Kirk’s attempted mutiny and subsequent marooning. Spock takes McCoy aside later and acknowledges the difficulty of doing so, receiving a biting reply from McCoy which he promptly pushes aside.

Kirk later reappears and picks a brawl with Spock, successfully making the half Vulcan lose his composure and proving his was compromised. Spock informs McCoy he is unfit for the duty as captain, leaving Kirk, made first officer earlier by Pike, in charge, much to McCoy’s apparent exasperation.

The bridge crew, Scotty and McCoy ponder the matters and eventually come up with a solution thanks to Chekov. Spock and Kirk enter the enemy ship and manage to save Pike and destroy the ship, the Enterprise nearly falling into a black hole before they escape.

Kirk is assigned as Captain of the Enterprise when they return to the Academy, McCoy presumably keeping his place as Chief of Medicine and standing on the bridge in their first take off.

Leonard McCoy | Star Trek XI

[identity profile] thedawniscoming.livejournal.com 2009-10-23 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Personality:

Leonard Mccoy is something of a bitter man. His demeanor tends to be sour and he regularly pushes those he knows and doesn’t if he feels the need, with little regard to subordination. He doesn’t try to be insubordinate or disrespectful to others, higher rank or not, he simply has very strong opinions and fights stubbornly when he feels it necessary. Despite his demeanor he’s compassionate, a healer with a great respect for human life- more often than not the more emotional side of arguments. He tries to keep others from getting hurt but cannot often comprehend the ‘stupidity’ of people. He’s all too willing to explain every detail of danger in a situation for his usually unwilling audience. You will know more about space ebola than you ever needed.

Even with his voice of reason, often laced with sarcasm or anger, he has a tendency to follow along with sometimes extremely stupid plans. His best friend, Jim Kirk, despite being constantly on the receiving end of his eyerolls is rarely flat out refused, usually followed by a grumbling McCoy ready to patch whatever goes wrong back together. McCoy shows a fierce loyalty to his friends even as he throws exasperated sarcasm in their faces, and is willing to put himself under the chopping block for their sake.

A very messy divorce seemingly shaped the more bitter aspects of his personality. Karl Urban mentions he’s a bit ‘bi polar,’ and suffers from aviophobia, a fear of flying, and a severe mistrust of transporters. He tends towards ranting, angry, nervous or otherwise, though his streak of ‘southern charm’ will also rear it’s head. He’s a good drinking buddy for those who seek him out. He also takes his job very seriously.

He puts on an air of a man beyond his years, often seeming much older than he really is. McCoy is a man who lost everything, not in the dramatic way of the Vulcan’s but through his own design. Whatever caused his break in the marriage he was at fault enough that his wife in the end received everything that he may or may not have held dear. How abrasive he was before this isn’t known but the experience does seem to shape his interactions with others to a sharp and occasionally painful point. While he is a loyal friend he’s not an easy one to make- one could assume Kirk’s equally stubborn demeanor helped draw the two together.

Character: Quackerjack (full name unknown)
Fandom: Darkwing Duck
Character Notes:
History:
Once, Quackerjack Toys was a successful toy company. Then video games came around, and children didn't want 'plain' toys anymore. The biggest offender? Whiffle Boy. It was enough to drive the head of Quackerjack Toys completely mad. He took on the role of Quackerjack, a crazed jester of a villain, determined on gettign revenge with the aide of his very unique toys.

At least, this is how Quackerjack tells the story. Usually.

Sometimes, he's angry because parents won't let their children buy his toys because they're too dangerous. The Whiffle Boy thing isn’t all that consistent, really. And how long Quackerjack has been specializing in weapon-like toys is unclear. A lot about Quackerjack's past is unclear.

His present, that's less of a mystery. Quackerjack is a villain in Saint Canard, terrorizing the citizens in a variety of ways: Maybe he's attacking a toy store that won't carry his toys. Maybe he's planning on ruining a Whiffle Boy tournament. Maybe Negaduck has a special job in mind for him. Heck, maybe he's just bored. But like all villains in Saint Canard, Quackerjack has an obstacle - Something standing between him and his 'fun'. That something? That would be Darkwing Duck.

Quackerjack first met the superhero in-person when he (Quackerjack, not Darkwing) snuck into a Whiffle Boy Video Game Tournament, planning to wreak havoc. Drake Mallard happened to be attending the event, and - under the guise of Darkwing - stopped the villain. Quackerjack didn't give up easily, and even ended up transported into the video game, but eventually Darkwing won out. The pattern had begun…

(It is hard to determine the order of events, since it would seem the episodes are not aired in sequential order. (I'm going by a mix of ‘what should be continuity’, air date, and significance here.) But, regardless of when they happened, these events have played an important role in Quackerjack's life, and/or offer good examples of the jester's bizarre mentality and unique villainy.)

-Quackerjack joined the Fearsome Five – a team of criminals constructed and lead by Negaduck. While simply being a member of this group changed things for Quackerjack, it is perhaps most significant that this is (presumably) how he met Megavolt. The two have since teamed up on a few occasions, and it could be said that the two are best friends, in their own, somewhat dysfunctional way. (Although Megavolt is probably second to Mr. Banana Brain in Quackerjack's book.)
-The Fearsome Five briefly took over Saint Canard, and Quackerjack got to run an entire quadrant of the city. Chattering toy teeth ran the police force until Darkwing Duck and the Justice Ducks put an end to things.

-Quackerjack created a time-traveling top, which he first used to go back in time and stop the yo-yo from ever being invented. (A mission he took on because yo-yos were more popular than his toys.) In trying to stop Darkwing from stopping him, however, Quackerjack ultimately ended up helping to invent the toy himself. Later, Quackerjack used the 'Time Top' once again, the next time working with Megavolt. The two planned to travel to the future to get their hands on the toys and light bulbs of tomorrow, but accidentally created a miserable future for Saint Canard. The two briefly worked with the heroes in order to fix things.

-Quackerjack attempted to set up his own play-land, a place where kids would play with (and pay for!) his toys, while he reigned supreme. Needless to say, it didn’t last.

-Quackerjack's best friend, Mr. Banana Brain, was possessed by an evil spirit called Paddywhack. The jester teamed up with Darkwing Duck to vanquish the demon.

-Quackerjack and Megavolt teamed up once again, this time using a device called the 'Relax-a-Tron'. Disguising as doctors at a 'stress-free clinic', they put nearly every citizen of Saint Canard into a nearly-comatose state, making the place a free-for-all for the two criminals until, as usual, Darkwing stopped them.

999 years ago or 1,998 in human years, a fox child was born to a Gumiho. After being weaned off her mother's milk, Laon was sent to her Granny, a Fox God, to be taken of. The years past by quickly and Laon slowly gained nine tails. They were her pride and joy and she loved to show off her tails to any that would look at them. Soon though, the Fox God decided to play a game with Laon and tricked her into betting her tails. Laon lost the game and despite many protests the Fox God scattered the nine tails on a distant star called Earth.

Furious, Laon followed her tails, losing all her physical features that made her different from the humans the lived in the star. It was there that she met Tae-He, a reporter that kidnapped her after witnessing her display inhuman abilities. Laon escaped from him but soon found herself staying by his side and the pair struck a deal. He would help her find her missing tails for lying and kidnapping her, but she must grant him one wish once all the tails were found. The duo soon faced supernatural murders, mysteries and creatures that wanted to eat the female Gumiho. However, a group of people began to aid them in finding the tails in secret hopes that Laon would become a Mehgoo so she would become their mother. What they want or what their real reason for helping will probably never be revealed.
Personality:

One of the traits that Laon carries with her is that despite being old, she has the tendency of behaving like a child or flat out like a puppy. Because she is childlike she is innocent of the ways of sex and the behavior of the act. Another branch of her childishness is the fact that she enjoys shows that are aimed for preschoolers.

She is a Gumiho and perhaps one of the more vainer ones as she prides herself in the beauty of her tails. Which became the main reason why she hates her Granny, because she took Laon's tails and scattered them on another world then their own. She is constantly hungry and because of that, food is very important to her and she will do anything and everything she can to eat, unless Tae-He interferes with her catching her prey. She is also curious about humans and the nature of their ways as they are different then how she sees things and act as well. Due to her curiosity she has very little respect for other people's privacy and also their personal boundaries.

Character: Jorgen Von Strangle
Fandom: Fairly OddParents

2/? caution spoilers

[identity profile] bluespikey.livejournal.com 2009-10-27 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Jorgen is very, very old. Ancient in fact. His job is not only being a Fairy Godparent to different children like the rest of the fairies, but he also has a high ranking position on the Fairy Council. (It consists of even higher ranking fairies that don’t need magic wands to perform magic, and don’t have god kids.) For enforcing he uses ‘Da Rules’ book, a guidebook by which all Fairy Godparents much live by, which he edits at will. He also built Fairy World (where all the Fairy Godparents live) in outer space, right next to Earth and connected with a rainbow bridge. According to the recent episode Crocker Shocker, Von Strangle built Fairy World over another world called, ‘Giant Bucket of Acid World’. Von Strangle was never known for thinking very far into the future. He created the Big Wand (which channels fairy magic similar to a cell phone tower) to be powered by the spazzing of those who fervently believe in fairies. However, he changed this rule when Denzel Crocker came along. Instead, the Big Wand relies solely on Denzel’s spazzing since it’s so powerful. In the end, Von Strangle changed the rule back to many spazziers, as Crocker was actually cured in that episode.

When Cosmo, Fairy World’s last baby before Poof was born, Von Strangle was in charge of teaching Cosmo how to use magic. As with all the fairies, Von Strangle taught them to control their magic, or least tries, since he is the drill sergeant of the Fairy Academy. At the time, when Cosmo came around, Jorgen was a five – star ranking Fairy Commander at the Fairy Academy, where fairies are trained to be Fairy Godparents.

However, no matter where Jorgen took Cosmo to try to train him, the goof messed up, causing all sorts of catastrophes. These include sinking Atlantis (not once but seven times), burning Pompeii and turning Xanadu into Pittsburg.
None the less, after those incidents, Jorgen added to 'Da Rules' book: ‘No being able to wish for a baby’ (that being the only way new fairies come into existence). This way, Cosmo would be the last fairy baby born and those horrible things would never happen again. But Von Strangle only wrote the 'No being able to wish for the 'b' word on a sticky note, later found out in Fairly Oddbaby, and never officially ratified the rule.

Therefore, a new fairy baby was born that Von Strangle tried to take from Cosmo and Wanda, so those incidents that happened with Cosmo would not reoccur and no more civilizations or fairies would be harmed. However, he was faked out with a plush doll. In the end, the new baby fairy was left with Cosmo and Wanda, and named Poof.
Jorgen is also the responsible for those children who lose their Fairy Godparents, by exposure, mind wiping them.
In the case of Mr. Crocker, March 15th, 1972, after Timmy had blown ten year old Crocker’s secret, overly mind wiping Denzel and all the people in town, so, none of Crocker’s amazing things he had done with fairies would be recalled. However, a few non – magical traces of existence of fairies was left behind. At the time, and admits later, even he isn’t perfect because of course didn’t know of these items or thinking ahead, that the DNA tracker would cause any harm.

Von Strangle does not like to be taken lightly; he wants the Anti–Fairies and Pixies, the main trouble makers of his canon, to fear him. Consequently, he doesn’t have any friends. He thinks of it as the same old, ‘you punch this guy one time and they never talk to you again’ deal. Ironically, because of the fact that Cosmo and Wanda don’t leave Von Strangle, considering he does bully Cosmo and Wanda, Jorgen considers them friends - even if he does horrible things to them and really hates and even wants to destroy Cosmo at times.

Character: Mouri Ran
Fandom: Detective Conan
Character Notes:
History: Born in a fictional Tokyo neighborhood of Beika, Mouri Ran was raised by both of her parents until she was six years old. Beyond that, however, her mother moved out and established a law office, leaving Ran with her father Kogoro. Soon after, her father quit his job as a police officer to put up the Mouri Detective Agency. A poorly run agency, it didn't help either that Kudo Shinichi, Ran's childhood friend and canonical love interest, rose to be a modern day Sherlock Holmes. This took a blow for their agency and Ran usually tells Shinichi that he was throwing her father out of business. When the unfortunate incident of Shinichi getting shrunk into Conan happened, the agency gained a newly found popularity when as Conan, Shinichi solves cases with Ran's father taking credit. Ran had a few hunches that Conan was Shinichi but these would usually get disproved. Up until now, Ran didn't know that the little boy she took in was actually her one and only person.

Personality: A sweet seventeen year-old girl, Mouri Ran is an example of a whole palette of personalities rolled into one. Compassionate to other people and their plights, she can be seen frequently crying over the anguish of others. Even if that's the case, Ran's a stubborn lass and can be feisty and lose her temper when provoked. As a known Karate Champion and the captain of Teitan's Karate team, she can willingly defend her loved ones and people in need when necessary, showing much of her great sense of what's good. When her parents separated, Ran assumed the mother role in the household, often cleaning up after her father's messes (i.e. beer cans and ashtrays) and cooking delicious meals for the both of them. When Conan joined the family, she cooks for him too.

Ran also means good toward others. She can be seen plotting well-intentioned things to keep her separated mother and father back together, even if these plots always ended up in failure. Usually, people would see her crafty side through these plans, as well. Her only vulnerable side that often breaks her down in tears would be her love for her childhood friend, Kudo Shinichi. Although being a tough girl outside, his disappearance left her missing him and worrying about him, frequently thinking of him fondly.

[Ran's looking troubled at the end of the screen, if not extremely worried over something.]

I've been noticing more and more of Conan's melancholy face. I refuse to believe that it's because of school, though. What's happening now?

[She pauses then her concerned face turned into a glare.]

If anyone of you is troubling him...

[Her hands slam on the desk, hard. Really, she can be quite a terrifying young woman.]

... You'll have to answer to me! Conan's a part of my family and I won't hesitate defending him, understood?

[Her glare seems to waver as she sits down again.]

I'm sure Conan would tell me what's bothering him... Speaking of bothering..

[She sighs and looks around. Oh hey, more beer cans.]

Dad's at it again..

Re: Rachel Berry - Part 2

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_bondless/ 2009-10-28 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Character: Rachel Berry
Fandom: Glee
Character Notes:

History:
Rachel was born to an unusual family of two gay dads. She claims she was born out of love. Her dads screened potential surrogates based on beauty and IQ. Then they mixed their sperm together and used a turkey baster. Rachel doesn't know which one is her real dad, and she hardly minds. Both of Rachel's dads spoiled her in the arts, from a very young age she was given dance lessons, singing lessons and acting lessons. Because of those, Rachel quickly developed a competitive edge which will become a key traits in her older life. Rachel was born for the stage, and she knew that as a child. She worked her hardest to improve her abilities in order to prepare herself for the day she'll be a known star. Not much is known about Rachel's life before she came to McKinley High School in which Glee takes place. What is known is that she entered different dancing and singing competitions from a very young age and won many awards. She also made a habit of putting a gold star sticker next to her name, as a metaphor for her being a star. At 16, Rachel joins her high school's Glee club with a clear expectation to become the club's star.

Personality:
The first thing one can say about Rachel is that she's full of confidence. Her confidence is backed up by her singing and dancing talent. She has no doubt that she is going to be a major success, it's only a matter of time. Rachel is an odd one; she is very likeable and also very annoying. Her extreme confidence makes her believe she's the best singer in her glee club, and while this is probably true, she refuses to accept the fact that others deserve a chance too. In Rachel's mind, she deserves all the solos, because she is the club's star, she deserves to shine. When she doesn't get her way Rachel tends to get very upset and usually storm out dramatically. But Rachel is not entirely insensitive and is known to be a very good friend. For example, when Rachel found out the word about her arch nemesis Quinn Fabray's pregnancy is going to be spread in the school she did everything to stop this from happening. And though Quinn tortured Rachel, Rachel helped her and supported her.
Rachel is also very passionate about her goals, when Finn hurts her feelings; she tells him 'my dreams are bigger than you'. Rachel is determined not to let anything stand in her way to fame. While she is sensitive and her feelings are hurt throughout the show by Finn, she refuses to let it distract her from her dream. She's a perfectionist, which annoys most of the other Glee members. Rachel won't settle over a single flaw, everything has to be perfect, since in Rachel's mind, everything she does represents her, and she will not stand to sing in a number with flaws. Rachel is problematic since she expects the same determination from everyone else.
One last thing I can say about Rachel is that she's very lonely, and secretly longs to be loved. She is worried about finishing high school with nothing to be known for, without feeling special. Fact is, Rachel is not popular. She's way down the 'social status' which results in people spilling slushies on her, and pointing and laughing. On the outside, she doesn't care, but she does say 'everybody hates me, being a part of something special makes you special.' That shows that even though she's very good at hiding it, Rachel is in fact very lonely. She tells the Glee club she rather be their friend over being the lead star in the school's play, which shows that her career doesn't always come first. In sum, Rachel is both confident in her abilities and yet she's very vulnerable. People sometimes forget that she's only a 16 year old girl, with fears and pressures every other 16 year old girl has, only she usually doesn't show it. She's very dedicated to her goal and to the Glee club, and above all she longs to be a well known star.

Character: John Fitzgerald Byers
Fandom: The X-Files
Character Notes:
History: If not for the assassination of JFK on November 22, 1963, John Fitzgerald Byers would instead be Bertram Byers, Jr. Luckily for him (though not so much for President Kennedy), Byers was born right after the assassination and the first stepping stone for his destiny as a patriot was set. He's been an idealist since childhood and still believes in things like truth, justice, freedom, and the American Dream. Around age 11, he decided he wanted to be a bureaucrat. His Big Dream was to spread the wonders of democracy throughout the world. In the late 1980s, he landed a job with the FCC. He thought he was on the right track, and in truth, he was... until he met a woman named Susanne Modeski at an electronics convention in 1989.

He immediately fell in love with her. Deeply, madly, and passionately in love — and it's because of her that he then met his future colleagues, Melvin Frohike and Richard Langly, though the circumstances were less than favorable and ended in Byers' first ever experience in a prison. She's also the reason why he is now wary of the government, why he isn't as naïve as he was when he was younger (though he hasn't lost his idealist attitude), and why he and his two pals now publish an independent newspaper called The Lone Gunman that seeks to expose all the less than honorable things the government does. He will not stand for injustice of any kind, especially when that injustice is coming from the people who are supposed to be the most moral.

Personality: Byers is very much what people would call a Good Guy. He fights the good fight, has strong morals, and is extremely intelligent: he can hack computers, can read and analyze medical information, can identify branched DNA, and knows about genetics and chemistry. He's polite, comes off as timid and shy at first glance, and is extremely clean-cut. Because of his appearance and his attitude, he's the “narc” of the group.

He's really not that much of a narc. He'll do things he's not supposed to, if he believes it's for the right reasons. He's not afraid to break into buildings! He's not afraid to publish things that might get him in trouble! He's not afraid to hack into networks and steal private information! But he has to have a reason for doing these things; you'll never catch him defacing money for fun, or sneaking around outside warehouses because he's bored. On that note, he's not always as brave as he should be, but he is very good at pretending.

Other:

Byers is coming in from canon where DDD's resident Langly has already mentioned this place and its craziness, so he will have some knowledge of it.

First Person (entry type):

So this is — and I don't mean to offend anyone by using this particular word, so I'm sorry in advance if I do; I just can't think of a better way to put this whole thing — weird. I thought Langly was joking about this “place,” or maybe just talking about one of his games, but... hi, I guess? I'm Byers. You may or may not have heard about me, and if you have, I've got money on your knowing me as the “narc.”

I am not a narc. I am a patriot. I am fighting for this country and all it used to stand for, for the dreams of our Founding Fathers, for the force of good that America used to represent. If that makes me a narc in the eyes of some (I'm looking at you, Langly) then that's fine.

But I am not a narc.

And now that that's preemptively out of my system: Is anyone interested in reading a newspaper?

Third Person:

“Who drank my coffee?”

It's a simple enough question that should come with a simple “yes” or “no” answer, but that would require honesty and neither Langly nor Frohike are about to 'fess up to drinking the coffee. Not directly, anyway.

“It didn't have your name on it,” Langly points out.

That's all the answer Byers needs. He sighs, moves to the kitchen, and preps a new pot of coffee. If he doesn't have his coffee, he gets cranky. That's been a thing of his since college, where his roommates introduced him to the wonders of caffeine and he promptly became completely addicted.

He knows it's a drug. That doesn't bother him. It's not like he's an alcoholic or a heroin addict, or anything like that. It's just caffeine. He just goes into mild withdrawal when he doesn't have any. It's really no big deal.

The thought makes him wrinkle his nose. He doesn't want to be addicted to something, but he also doesn't want a headache or jitters, especially not today; today, they're going on a mission. Today, they're going undercover, and Byers does not want to be the one to blow it. That's Langly's job.

Re: Estelle Sodis Heurassein - 2/?

[identity profile] insipid-poison.livejournal.com 2009-10-29 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
History:
As one of the candidates to the Empire's throne, Estelle calls Zaphias her home, though given her status, she was never allowed to leave and mingle with anyone beneath her station. Until her chance encounter with Yuri, in fact, she'd never been outside of the castle walls. She never knew her mother - or at least, didn't know her well enough to remember her clearly, and her father likely passed away early as well. Much of Estellise's schooling and upbringing was done by nannies, and as she was under almost constant guard, she wasn't given much free reign to wander the halls of the castle. She certainly didn't have anything even remotely close to freedom, and she felt guilty for longing for such a thing, when she had a life of privilege that others would kill for.

She had few friends, most of which were servants, but her closest friend at the castle was a man by the name of Flynn Scifo. He was a member of the Imperial Knights, and despite his initial misgivings, he and his fellow knights did eventually give in to Estelle's insistence and taught her how to fight. Because of his duties, Flynn was often away from the castle and would tell Estelle of his travels whenever she asked. Again she would often feel that wistful urge to have the same freedom that he did; but she never acted on it.

Now, Estelle for all her sheltered naivete, was a special girl - not just that she was a charming girl and her servants were all fond of her, but she also had the gift of healing. The only difference between her healing magic, and the magic that others around her used, was that they used what was called a bodhi blastia; which allowed people to perform magic and special abilities. Not so for Estelle, who was capable of casting her healing arts without the aid of a blastia. To avoid questions that no one wanted to answer, or couldn't answer, Estelle was given a very fancy bodhi blastia - but a dummy one, to just make it appear that she was using the blastia to use magic. Most people who used them frequently would be able to tell that she wasn't actually using it, however. Still, there were some people who had interest in her ability - and that interest was not benign.

Unfortunately, Flynn's time with Estelle was limited, and he eventually had to leave as part of a knightly pilgrimage. Before he left, however, he warned her that Something Was Afoot, and that she should be very careful. She didn't understand what he'd meant by that, and it wasn't until almost a week later, well after he'd left, that she began to get A Clue. An increase in her personal guard, a number of shifty looks, whispers that stop and change topics when she is near... it just was strange. Sure the knights that visited were all very nice, if a bit.. proprietary.

Over time, she'd been able to find ways to sneak out of her room to get closer and closer to finding a way to escape the castle. She'd slipped up once, the guards were going to take her back to her room when she encountered a strange man in a place where he certainly didn't belong. Admittedly he helped ... discourage the guards from following her and had even offered to help her escape. That he seemed to know Flynn was reason enough for her to trust him, and she followed him and the motley crew they met along the way - soon getting caught up in an adventure that took her out of the castle and all over the world that was as much to save it as to discover her own identity.

He plans on playing funny music but Katie says no. Micah then buys a Luigi board and tries to talk to the being but Katie says no again and they go out to Applebees for dinner. When they get back they go to bed and they are haunted for a very long time. Micah even puts powder on the floor to sees the steps of the beast and Katie screams so they call the demonologist who is out at Hawaii so they call the Psychic. The Psychic says No he can’t help them and walks off. The demon picks up Katie out of her room and Micah follows and saves her the next day Katie is possessed and when they go to bed she kills Micah him and throws him into a wall.
Personality: Micah is a carefree kind of guy. He is always the one at the party to make people laugh. He never says no to nothing and always smiles and makes immature jokes. He really loves Katie but is a strong head and will not let people like psychics and demonigists in.

Character: Katie
Fandom: Paranormal Activity.
Character Notes: Katie and her boyfriend find themselves haunted by a evil demon in their home. She is apparently some sort of psychic? o_O idk she just draws in stuff like this all the time.
History: Katie n' Micah get a new house and a demon follows them. The demon does really annoying things like make weird noises at night. Micah gets a video camera to record it. Some boring stuff happens and then Micah gets a Weejee board. Katie gets super pissed and slams the bedroom door in his face and Micah is like "Katie come on you bitch" and Katie yells at him to shutup. And she's really mad. Micah left the ouija board out and it caught on fire and he tries to figure out what the burns mean but he is just a mortal so he can't. Then Katie tells him to just stop. Oh and they called a psychic but then later the psychic won't even come in their house or something because the demon is so mad. Oh but before that there was a noise outside their room so they went to this one room that had stairs leading to the attic and Micah went up inside it idk why but he found this like picture of Katie when she was little it was so weird. Anyway then Micah's putting baby powder on the floor and Katie's all pissed again. Then later there's some footprints in the powder. Oh I forgot to mention, earlier Katie was acting really weird and went outside and just sat on a swing thingy when it was super cold out but then Micah finds her. Anyway after the footprints some stuff happens I forgot and then one night Katie gets dragged out of bed and the next morning she's like Micah let's get out of here. But then like five seconds later she's like no let's stay. At the end she gets possessed again and like throws Micah up all the stairs then eats him or something it was crazy.
Personality: Katie is a huge bitch sometimes but she just doesn't want to piss off the demon. So she's not that much of a bitch in retrospect? Anyway she has actual goals and maturity unlike Micah who just seems like a big

Micah...

Micah... are you out there?!

Third Person:
Katie sighed. Micah was out at the pool being an idiot as usual. She flipped her hair and walked outside and crossed her arms. "MICAH GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW." Micah looked confused and walked out of the pool. When he went inside Katie was gone. Immediately fear sprung into his chest. Was it the demons? THE DEMONS? He runned upstairs screaming Katie, Katie. And there she was. In some Victoria's Secret gear ;)

She said comehere Micah and the door closed heheh.

Jaaaaaaaaames Sunderland 2/actuallycouldbe4

[identity profile] touchofgenius.livejournal.com 2009-10-29 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
History: James Sunderland was once described as a surly man, one who didn’t laugh much but was actually sweet underneath all of that.

This isn’t exactly the man we see in Silent Hill 2, so let’s describe the man we do meet.

James was once a rather happily married man who vacationed to Silent Hill’s Lakeview Hotel with his wife, Mary. They never had a child. After this, however, Mary gained an incurable illness that drove James to drinking from loneliness and despair. She would lash out at him during her terrible mood swings, and it was too much for him to bear. So was she.

James suffocated her to death with a pillow because he wanted his “life back.” He’d later regret this decision, and it’s never said what’s done with her body.

Three years later, however, James gets a letter “from Mary” telling him to meet her in their “special place.” At the end, however, we find out that the letter was a creation of James’ own guilt and delusion to drive him to, most likely, death by his own hand, something he tells a tormented teenager named Angela he would never do. He debates whether or not she actually sent the letter, whether or not she’s actually dead, and successfully forgets all about killing her in the least. When he meets Maria, however, he calls her Mary—or thinks she is Mary—due to her striking resemblance to his late wife, rest in peace. They go together to find out more about this place, he meets Eddie again (a boy he found throwing up in a toilet in the hotel where he finds a dead man dressed like himself and first encounters Pyramid Head) and a young girl named Laura. Eddie’s scarfing down a pizza and Laura’s being a brat, so he eventually leaves the bowling alley and he Maria travel onward.

Maria says she has a hangover, or is just sick, and lays down while James wanders about to find clues about why he was brought here and what’s up with everything being all dark and demented and the like. Laura tells him she knew Mary and where the letter was. They banter, James falling down to the level of a bratty kid like her, and then she takes him to a room and locks him there so he can have a boss fight. While he and Maria are going out, however, the elevator jams and good old Pyramid Head skewers Maria without a thought, her wrist gets crushed by the door, and then she’s out of sight.
