Character: Soma Cruz Fandom: Castlevania
Character Notes: History:
» Soma's early life is pretty much nonexistent as far as we know, but it's implied that he's had a pretty normal childhood. Things really don't start heating up for him until he's 18 and studying in Japan.
» In the year 2035, Soma was going to visit his friend Mina Hakuba at her family's shrine to watch the first eclipse of the 21st century. However, when on his way to do so, he blacks out and he and Mina find themselves in a strange castle.
» Soon Soma and Mina find out that they aren't the only ones there – a mysterious man going by the name of Arikado is also there, and it's though a short skirmish with some zombies that Soma finds out that he has what is called the “Power of Dominance”, which allows him to control the souls of the various creatures that haunt Dracula's castle.
» Though Soma's travels through the castle to try and find a way out, he encounters others that have been pulled in – and he starts to realize that it's by no coincidence that he was pulled into this place. After Dracula's demise in 1999, a prophecy foretold of his reincarnation – though nobody knew who that was at the time.
» He later meets up with several others, including Yoko Belinades, a witch in the employ of the Church, Hammer, a former U.S. Army operative that was sent to investigate the shenanigans, and Graham Jones, a man who believes himself to be the reincarnation of Dracula, since he was born at the same time that Dracula was defeated in 1999. Soma also meets a man who is only known as “J”, Julius Belmont, the last of the legendary vampire slayer clan and also the man who defeated Dracula in 1999.
» As Soma moves along, he eventually ends up absorbing many of the monsters' souls within the castle, giving him incredible powers. He eventually confronts Graham in the castle's keep, who accuses him of “grand theft” before opting to trying to destroy Soma.
» After defeating Graham and his transformed form and absorbing his power, Soma then realizes that, in fact, he is Dracula's reincarnation. Julius then confronts him, and the two battle, but Soma realizes that Julius had been holding back, if only because he could sense Soma's spirit fighting off Dracula's influence. Soma then makes Julius promise him that if he ever fully becomes Dracula, to kill him.
» Arikado then tells Soma that if he wants to leave, along with Mina and Yoko, he must cut off the castle's chaotic energy at the source, in a place only “Dracula” could go. Soma then agrees to go, and defeats the chaotic energy at its source. Afterward, he's congratulated by the others and wakes up outside the Shrine with Mina, relieved that the incident's over. Also, it apparently seems that Soma lost his abilities when he and Mina escaped the castle at the end of the game.

Character: Serena Celia Van Der Woodsen. Fandom: Gossip Girl. Character Notes: History:
Serena was born on July 14th in Manhattan. Her early years weren't much to record, but were more of the type that every kid ever dreamed of. Aside from her mother bringing home different types of men every night, Serena was still very content with her life. She grew up in a penthouse in Manhattan with her brother, Erik, and every once and awhile her mother. She spent most of her earlier years making friends with the two most important people in her life right now. Blair Waldorf, and Nathaniel Archibald. Serena and Erik grew up supporting each other basically, even though their penthouse was never short of any kind of assistance any of them could ever need.
Serena is what you call the party girl, and she did it all through out middle school. Being almost inseparable with her best friends Blair and Nate, and sometimes even Chuck, they all had their own little life centered around each other and it seemed to work, especially when in a place like New York, everyone knew everything about everyone else. They couldn't keep secrets in middle school, but once freshman year hit for high school, thats when it seemed like everything changed. High school proved to be the worst time for Serena, and it seemed to happen so suddenly. Blair and Nate were still a couple, and seemed to be more in love than anyone could have ever figured. Serena couldn't stand it really, and on one night, at a wedding,

Character: Shinji Matou Fandom: Fate/stay night Character Notes: History: Once upon a time, there were three magus families: the Einzberns, the Tohsakas, and the Matous. The Matou family was headed by Zouken, who became some kind of weird worm vampire thing to live forever. Anyway. The Matous' talent for magic died down over the generations, and by the time Matou Shinji was born, he had no Magic Circuit whatsoever. Still, he studied magic as much as he could, being the family's oldest son and all.
Oh, and the Tohsakas had an agreement with the Matous, and they gave the Matous their spare child Sakura ten years ago. She was actually capable of magic, and thus Zouken trained her.
Shinji didn't know about this. For about seven years, he treated her kindly out of something like pity. She was only a second child, after all. Then three years ago, he found out about her being the heir, and got pissed off as hell at her.
...And then he got ordered to start raping her to deal with her body's problems, and he took way too much pleasure in that. And started being physically abusive to her.
Right, actual game canon time. The Holy Grail War starts, Sakura doesn't want to participate, Shinji gets her to give up control of Rider. Who it's also implied he rapes. Great.
In Fate route, he assaults Ayako, tries to kill everybody in the school with a boundary field, fails, runs away, and is killed by Ilya shortly after Rider dies. In Unlimited Blade Works route, he loses Rider early, gets Gilgamesh as a replacement Servant, almost rapes Tohsaka Rin, gets one arm chopped off, gets turned into a vessel for the Grail (having a lake-sized amount of flesh grow out of your body), and is rescued. In Heaven's Feel he holds Sakura hostage during the boundary field thing, torments her a lot, and is killed by her when he threatens to tell Shirou about his raping of her. Personality: Shinji is arrogant. Arrogant, arrogant, arrogant. He thinks of himself as the biggest and baddest until there's way too much evidence to the contrary. He doesn't mind blackmailing other students, using his friends' flaws to get what he wants. He treats his adopted sister like trash (and goes so far as to call her a piece of shit in front of someone else).
He's also extremely cowardly. He will do anything to save his own skin, no matter who he has to throw under the bus. Family ties, other people's lives - doesn't matter. When he gets scared, he gets going.
Besides that, he's a womanizer. Surprisingly enough, girls at his school adore him. If arrogance looks like confidence, I guess it's understandable... Character material says he isn't too bad to non-Sakura girls, although Rin seems to be another exception. Other: I plan not to talk about the whole raping thing except in locked entries, and even then only very rarely. (It seems like it would hurt his chances for friends.) Character: Owen Harper Fandom:Torchwood Character Notes:
History: Owen was born on Valentine's day in 1980. His mother and him were never very close (the nicest thing she ever did for him was pack his lunch one day, and she didn't particularly like her son much). Not much is known about his father. By his early twenties, Owen had made himself a nice little career as a doctor, and was engaged to the love of his pre-Torchwood life, Katie Russell. Unfortunately, Katie had what doctors considered to be early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Owen attempted everything to help Katie, believing the other doctors to basically be wrong, as she was insanely young to have Alzheimer's; after countless tests, a brain scan seemed to indicate that she had a brain tumor.
During what was supposed to be a relatively normal surgery, however, that brain tumor was revealed to be an alien parasite. At this moment, Jack Harkness appeared, rushing in to try and save the day - unfortunately for Jack and Owen, the parasite killed the surgical team and Katie once it had been revealed. After trying to deal with the death of his fiancé, Owen was approached by Jack for the second time; this time, Jack came with an offer for him to join Torchwood.
After joining Torchwood, Owen led the classic one-man-wolfpack life of sex, booze and being a medic in a secret government agency. Owen seemed to get along pretty well with the female members of the crew - meaning, he had an affair with Suzie, later Gwen, and Toshiko always had a thing for him. He spent the first part of his life with Torchwood flirting with women, patching up his workmates whenever they got themselves shot or otherwise hurt, and making disparaging remarks whenever he felt like it.
Then came Diane Holmes, a woman who came through the Rift from the 1950's. Owen and Diane became involved during the short time she was in Cardiff; this was probably the first serious relationship Owen had been in since Katie. However, Diane left, unable to stay in one place for long, flying off in hopes of finding an opening in the Rift. Owen was left devastated. He spent most of his time sulking, getting into fights, and eventually his anger and remorse led him to a "Fight Club" styled underground group, where he was put into a cage with a Weevil. Instead of letting out his aggression on the alien, he simply stared it down, without fear. After that, it seemed as though Owen had come back to himself a bit, though he would swear off one-night stands. (Theoretically.) However, when Bilis Manger and Abaddon used the image of Diane in an attempt to convince Owen to open the Rift, he immediately went for it. His mutiny against Jack culminated in the rest of the team siding with him; when Jack tried to regain control, Owen shot him. Of course, that only delayed Jack from gaining control again, once the Rift was open. He was summarily fired from his post. (It didn't last long.)

Character: Dr. Atsuko Chiba and her dreaming personality, Paprika Fandom: Paprika Character Notes: History: A premier research psychologist, Dr. Chiba heads a team devoted to the use of the DC Mini, an invention of Dr. Kosaku Tokita, as a device to aid in psychological treatment. The DC Mini records the dreams of the user and makes them able to be viewed on a computer. It also permits dream sharing between users. Dr. Chiba is very experienced in the use of the DC Mini as a treatment aid, and created an alternate personality to more easily enter dreams and analyze them and the dreamer.
This alternate personality is named Paprika.
When a DC Mini is stolen, the team has a big problem. The model stolen is unencrypted, and is essentially able to be used by anyone. The implications of this are very bad, since a DC Mini in the wrong hands can be used to warp and implant dreams into other people's heads.
So Dr. Chiba, Dr. Tokita, Dr. Shima, and Detective Konakawa get on the case to figure out who stole it and how to get it back before all of reality is endangered.
Unfortunately, it doesn't take long for shit to get real. Dr. Shima, head of the research team, is infected with a dream while he's awake and ends up ranting nonsensically and jumping out of a window. He survives, but several other doctors end up affected similarly. Dr. Chiba, as Paprika, enters various peoples' dreams to try to figure stuff out.
Shenanigans happen, and reality starts to merge with dreams, and things get really trippy. There are a couple of moments where they think they're awake, only to be caught by dream concepts again. Many questions arise: is Paprika a part of Chiba, or is Chiba a part of Paprika? Are they separate entities entirely? Who is behind all of it, anyway? But what about the rest of it?

Character: Jin Kisaragi Fandom: Blazblue Character Notes: History: Jin is the younger brother of Blazblue's primary protagonist, Ragna the Bloodedge, and currently a major in the NOL and the 'hero' of the Ikaruga Civil War. As a child, Jin was raised in an orphanage along with Ragna and their younger sister, Saya; and while Jin favored his brother and constantly wanted his attention, most of Ragna's time went to the sickly Saya to the point that Jin started to bully Saya, and Ragna distanced himself from Jin to focus more on Saya. At about this time, Terumi Yuuki appeared to Jin and told the boy that he was destined to become a great hero, but in order to do so, he would have to kill his older brother who would become a monster known as the Black Beast. Sometime later, the church Jin grew up in was burned, his caretaker killed, his brother's right arm cut off, and his little sister kidnapped; however, Jin has no memory of this event, save for a vague recollection of his right hand covered in blood.
Sometime afterwards, Jin was adopted into the Kisaragi family, one of the twelve noble families with close ties to the Novus Orbis Librarium (NOL, or 'Library', which is the closest thing to a government in the world of Blazblue). Jin was entered into the military academy and excelled academically and on the field, being among the top of the class and receiving the Nox Nyctores Yukianesa (one of the ten Ars Armagus, special weapons made to combat the Black Beast) upon graduation. He went on to end the Ikaruga Civil War (essentially a war between those who could use the Armagus and those who could not) by assassinating the leader of Ikaruga, and rise to the rank of Major.
Despite these achievements, Jin himself felt empty on the inside and life sort of passed him by - until he heard rumors of the Grim Reaper and felt compelled to meet this man. Like the rest of the cast of Blazblue: The Calamity Trigger, Jin made his way to the city of Kagutsuchi, where he discovered that the Grim Reaper was none other than his older brother, Ragna. From there, Jin was gripped with a psychotic need to meet his brother again, even going as far as to deliberately disobey his orders. Due to what's truly going on behind the scenes in the game, Jin's story diverts from there, as the world was stuck in a time loop. Jin, though, truly has two paths to his story.
In one ending, Jin's final battle with his brother is interrupted by v-13, who takes Ragna along when she throws herself into the Cauldron. Jin follows suit, wanting to stay with Ragna and kill him, and he ends up in the past where he meets Rachel Alucard, who like Terumi, offers him the chance to become a hero. From there, Jin becomes one of the Six Heroes who goes on the defeat the Black Beast, Hakumen. In the true ending of Blazblue: The Calamity Trigger where the timeloop is broken, Jin is heavily injured by Ragna during their battle and ends up in a hospital, where he learns the NOL has ordered his assassination, but he continues to chase Ragna, thereby cutting all ties with the NOL and the Kisaragi family.
Jin seeks to kill Noel Vermillion, his former subordinate, who resembles his lost sister and is accompanying his brother. (spoilers for Blazblue: Continuum Shift) Over the course of Blazblue: Continuum Shift, After this revelation, Jin resolves to grow stronger on his own terms, and he is on the way to becoming a true hero.

Character: Theophrastus Bombastus Van Hohenheim Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist (manga)
Character Notes:
History: 400 years prior to the opening of the series, Hohenheim was a young slave called Number Twenty-Three who lived in the country of Xerxes. At the time, alchemy was in its infancy: mere theories bandied about by philosophers and scientists alike. Because the country existed in a time of relative peace, its people could devote their time to intellectual pursuits. Indeed, Xerxes was most likely experiencing its Golden Age, since it was an isolated desert civilization with no neighboring countries to make war with.
Hohenheim's master was a powerful alchemist who worked directly beneath the King of Xerxes. During one of his many experiments, he used some of Hohenheim's blood, and through sheer accident, managed to summon a being from beyond the Gate. This being, which resembled a faceless sphere of darkness, was called Homunculus, the Dwarf Inside the Flask. It possessed knowledge far surpassing that of mankind. Unable to leave the confines of its flask, lest it should perish, the Dwarf decided to make conversation with the slave whose blood had been used to summon it into our world. Grateful for being given life, the Dwarf decided to grant Number Twenty-Three a new name: Theophrastus Bombastus Van Hohenheim.
Until that time, Hohenheim never questioned his lot in life as a slave; that was simply the natural order of the world, and what right did he have to question that order? But the Dwarf, who longed for freedom outside his flask, convinced Hohenheim that they need not live as prisoners. With knowledge, both the slave and the Dwarf could experience all that life in the outside world had to offer...
So Hohenheim began to learn to read and write from the Dwarf, and to perform arithmetic and basic alchemy. The young slave freely shared his knowledge among his fellow slaves, much to the chagrin of his master. But Hohenheim's master saw promise in the young slave, and offered him a position as his apprentice. He was a brilliant student and learned very quickly from both his master and the Dwarf. Hohenheim continued to grow close to the Dwarf, each of them confiding in the other, sharing their hopes and dreams for the future. In a sense, because they shared the same blood, the Dwarf considered himself Hohenheim's offspring.
Eventually, the Dwarf was brought before the King of Xerxes, who sought the secret to immortality. The Dwarf agreed to teach King Xerxes the ritual by which he could gain immortality, but unknown to the king and his subjects, the Dwarf was planning his own escape...
As the years passed and Hohenheim grew to adulthood, the King of Xerxes grew weaker and more desperate to prolong his lifespan. He forced his subjects to work night and day digging “canals” which served as a huge alchemical array that would encompass his entire kingdom. He then ordered his soldiers to wipe out several outlying villages in order to carve the Crests of Blood necessary for the ritual.

Character: Squall Leonhart Fandom: Final Fantasy VIII Character Notes:
History:
• Squall, age 17, was born in the small town of Winhill.
• After the passing of his mother, both Squall, and his elder sibling Ellone, were taken in by a nearby orphanage. At present, his father's whereabouts are unknown.
• With little explanation, Ellone is removed from the orphanage.
• Squall (troubled and problematic), was never placed inside a home, and so spent his youth in the care of strangers. Ellone's absence affected him deeply.
• Following his stay in the orphanage, Squall enters into the Balamb Garden; a school specializing in the training of SEEDS (students, both male and female, capable of handling various weapons, magic, or an innate special ability). SEED is a "military" based organization. Under the command of Cid Kramer, SEED deploys its members to various parts of the world, operating as a sort of national guard.
• A sharp and focused individual, Squall chooses to master the Gunblade⎯ an unwieldly weapon notorious for its difficulty.
Personality:
• Hardened, reticent, and seemingly apathetic.
• Squall prefers to work alone, but functions well in high-pressure situations.
• Suffering from a deep-seated fear of abandonment, Squall does not trust easily, and shuns potential friendships.
• Squall is entirely self-reliant, believing that any dependence on others will only lead to eventual heartache.
• Despite his frigid, unwelcoming exterior, Squall is pained, fearful, and reluctant.
• At first glance unemotional, his insecurities overwhelm him.
Other: Squall has no desire to discuss his personal feelings. Dismissive and avoidant, he answers few questions, and counters (most) inquiries with a mumbled "whatever".

Character: Soifon Fandom: Bleach Character Notes: History: Soifon was born Shaolin Fon, into the Fon house--a lower noble house. In the family tradition, Soifon was the youngest of six siblings and joined the the Executive Militia of the Onitsukidō. When joining the militia, she dropped her given name and took the code name of her great-grandmother: Soifon. Her five older brothers all died in their service to the militia (the longest running career was five completed missions, dying on the sixth).
Soifon served the militia for seven years before being transferred to the corps-commander (Yoruichi Shihōin) personal guard. This event was marked by both's signature traits: Soifon said how honored she was to protect Yoruichi, using all her official titles. Yoruichi tried to convince Soifon to just call her "Yoruichi-san". Soifon was shocked, saying she wouldn't dare calling her merely Yoruichi-san, eventually settling on calling her "Yoruichi-sama". Yoruichi wasn't exactly thrilled but could tell that it would be useless with the new guard that she thought of as "so serious".
Yoruichi took Soifon under her wing--making her into her protege. They became quite close, despite their personality differences. Even though Soifon thought Yoruichi's close friend, Urahara Kisuke, was lazy and incompetent and tried to disenchant him to Yoruichi all that happened was Yoruichi ending up teasing Soifon, saying that she must have a crush on Kisuke. Soifon was unamused.
Then Urahara Kisuke got himself exiled and Yoruichi went with him, leaving Soifon behind.
Needless to say, Soifon got pissed, feeling incredibly betrayed. She swore to capture, then later kill, her former mentor--to become stronger than her, to take all her former titles. A hundred years later, Soifon became captain of the Second Division and the corps-commander of the Executive Militia: a cold contrast to Yoruichi.
Then some shit went down, and when Soifon was about to kill someone in the following events guess who showed up. That's right, Yoruichi. She tackled Soifon off a cliff into a forest. It was only until they were falling that Soifon realized who tackled her.
Cue Yoruichi using sarcasm, Soifon using all the bitterness she stored up over the last hundred years and trying to kill Yoruichi. Soifon throughout the fight thinks she has the upper hand, taunting Yoruichi saying that she hadn't gotten any stronger while she, Soifon, had. Then when Soifon thought she had Yoruichi on the ropes? She showed Yoruichi a new technique that she hadn't even thought of the name yet. It was to kill Yoruichi.
It didn't. Yoruichi already knew the technique and named it herself: Shunko. Yoruichi turned the tide of battle by using it on Soifon. Soifon, after the attack ended moved to attack her, only to be stopped and told that she's not yet strong enough to use the move. Insert Soifon raging at Yoruichi, telling how betrayed she felt at being left behind all the while attacking her. Yoruichi effortlessly evades the attacks. She ends the attacks by going in for a Shunko powered punch but stops short of actually hitting her.
Soifon's reaction? Breaking down and asking Yoruichi why she wasn't taken with. Then reconciliation! Yay! Oh wait, there was still that shit storm to take care of.
And for the rest of her history, have a wiki (http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Su%C3%AC-F%C4%93ng).

Character: Jonathan Archer [Mirror] Fandom: Star Trek: Enterprise Character Notes: History:
Jonathan Archer was born in 2112 and became a soldier in Starfleet for the Terran Empire, especially when the rebellion started. He spent his younger days romantically involved with Hoshi Sato, and thinking of his command of the ISS Enterprise.
Unfortunately, his command was given to Captain Forrest and Hoshi left him to advance her career with Forrest. Instead, Archer became first officer aboard the ISS Enterprise and outwardly faithful to its captain.
When he found about the Earth ship from the future of an alternate reality the Tholians had captured, he tried to reason with Forrest to capture it. His idea was refused so Archer organised a mutiny and took over the ship, setting course for Tholian space.
He appointed Commander T’Pol his first officer and ordered her to work with Commander Tucker to install a Suliban cloaking device for their mission. His next act was to capture and torture a Tholian for the whereabouts of the ship. Once this was obtained, he locked the course into the computer with a random code and ordered Hoshi, who he had claimed as his own again after becoming captain, to send his findings back to Starfleet in case his mutiny failed.
As it happens, Forrest was freed from the brig and ordered by Starfleet to complete the mission. Archer was given ten hours in the agony booth as punishments for his actions.
Archer was given command of the away team to the future Earth ship, USS Defiant, and told to download the database and destroy the ship. Again, Archer disagreed with Forrest and again he was overruled. Archer watched the Enterprise, with Forrest still on board, be destroyed by Tholians before escaping on the Defiant, picking up Enterprise escape pods as he left.
Unknown to Archer, Forrest had intended for T’Pol to make sure he did not return from the ship but as Enterprise was destroyed, plans changed and T’Pol took her chance to tell this to Archer.
Archer became the captain of the USS Defiant and took her to rendezvous with the rest of the assault fleet from Earth. Whilst on route, Archer searched the database and found out about his alternate self. When they arrived at the battle only one Starfleet ship remained. The ISS Avenger was saved from several rebellion ships but Archer let one go to allow the word to spread.
Admiral Black, captain of the ISS Avenger, congratulated Archer on his timing but refused to give him a battlefield promotion and command of the USS Defiant. Archer, now being taunted by visions of his alternate self, murdered Black and took command of the USS Defiant against orders to bring to back to Earth for reverse engineering.
Archer then ordered all non-humans, except Doctor Phlox - a Denobulan - to leave the ISS Defiant for the ISS Avenger. He was planning to take Earth by storm and crown himself Emperor. Archer destroyed the ISS Avenger after the aliens tried to interfere with his plans.
Archer’s success was short lived as he was betrayed by Hoshi, who poisoned him and crowned herself Empress.

Character: Pele Fandom: Hawaiian Mythology Character Notes: History: (As a note, there's about four or five different stories dealing with the birth of the Pele and her family, giving varying sets of parents and siblings, so for simplicity I'll be going with the most common version.)
Born of the goddess Haumea and the god Moemoe, it's important to note that Pele, Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes (as well as fire, lightning, dance, and violence) wasn't even native born to the land of Hawai'i. She originally hailed from Tahiti, born in the land of Honua-Mea. Known to be a rather restless bunch, Pele and her siblings were known as the first to leave their home in search of new unexplored lands to live.
Wanderlust only seems to be an excuse, though. In reality Pele had actually been chased away from home by her older sister, the ocean goddess Na-maka-o-kaha'i, who had been in a jealous rage over finding Pele had seduced and stolen away her husband. Once they had reached the Hawaiian islands, Pele first attempted to make a home by digging out a fire pit on the island of Kaua'i. Unfortunately, her sister had followed her the entire way, completely hellbent on getting revenge for what had happened back in Tahiti, and once Na-maka found her on Kaua'i she made the waves rise high enough to completely flood the pit Pele had dug, hoping to drown her. Pele escaped, moved onto the next island, and tried again, only to have Na-maka follow in suit to flood that pit as well. The chase continued all down the island chain, and eventually Pele found refuge in the fire pit of Halema'uma'u on Mt. Kilauea, which even her sister's waves could not reach. The volcano summit has been her home ever since, and she still safely mocks her older sister from it to this day. (Fun Fact: Kilauea also happens to currently be the world's most active volcano, lava flows happening pretty regularly.)
Since then, she's had many adventures exploring her new domain, constantly traveling from island to island, and often with a sibling or two in tow. Many of these ventures involve collecting lovers in the various unsuspecting men she comes across, and all too often end with killing those same lovers in fits of jealousy. One well known case is when Pele caught sight of a Kaua'i cheif, who she asked her youngest sister Hi'iaka to bring to the Big Island for her. When Hi'iaka took too long to deliver him, Pele immediately thought she had been betrayed and destroyed Hi'iaka's favorite forest. After finding out what her sister had done, Hi'iaka embraced the young cheif out of spite, and Pele sent lava on them both, killing the mortal man in the process. Another incident involved the snow goddess Poliahu; Pele seduced and won over a man Poliahu had previously claimed, and the snow goddess then attacked them with cold, which once again killed the poor mortal caught in the middle.
Pele didn't only get involved with mortals, however. She also has a long standing history with Kamapua'a, the boar-like god of rainfall. The two have always been in a constant struggle over control of the land, Pele destroying the land with her lava only for Kamapua'a to put her fires out and create new forests in its place. Kamapua'a eventually began attempts to woo her. Pele responded with insults and further destruction. It was only after her brothers begged her to stop the fighting that she decided to take the god as a lover, though conflict between the two continued even after they decided to keep to separate sides of the island. They had a son together, considered to be the ancestor of all chiefs. But as happens with every lover she takes, they didn't last. One day Kamapua'a finally up and left Hawai'i, and headed back to his own island home to be with his family instead. Pele truly had fallen in love with him, and she sang and danced for ages to try and call him back to her. It didn't work, and it was about that time she finally gave up on love altogether.

Character: Mihael "Mello" Keehl Fandom: Death Note Character Notes: History:
• An orphan, and former resident of the Wammy's House, located in Winchester, England. Wammy's, with the appearance of any other orphanage, exists with the sole intention of creating an "L"; a genius detective possessing superior knowledge. With the current "L" deceased, a new successor must be chosen.
• The young Mihael, possessing above average intelligence, is raised alongside many talented children. As is customary in the Wammy's House, he is assigned a letter (M), and to protect his new identity, is given the less conspicuous code-name, "Mello". Ranked according to his abilities, he is placed 2nd beside the reticent Near.
• With the death of L, and the choice between Near and Mello left undecided, the two are asked to work together. Insulted, Mello vehemently declines.
• Repulsed by the thought of cooperating with his rival, Mello leaves the Wammy's House. Determined to become to new "L", and free from interference, Mello pursues a life of criminal gain.
• Using illegal means, and a connection to the Mafia, Mello seeks both the Death Note⎯a dangerous book that kills with the use of names and faces, and the demise of Kira⎯a murderer, responsible for the death of L, and at present, possessor of 1 of 2 Death Notes.
Personality:
• A manipulative young man, Mello uses both his intelligence and his charm to outsmart and deceive his would-be captors. Above all else, a brilliant schemer with dreams of grandeur.
• Fearless. Dangerous, and unpredictable. Motivated by jealousy, and driven by desperation, Mello is often times careless. Depending solely on his emotions, he is quick to act on impulse.
• However selfish, Mello is not without conscience. He is neither ignorant of, nor blind to, the suffering caused by his destructive methods.
• Despite his impressive intelligence, Mello is intensely jealous, envying and even targeting those who view themselves as "superior". Underneath the dramatic bravado, he is deeply insecure. Ranked 2nd only to Near, he considers himself inferior. What Mello desires most is the status and prestige of "1st".
• Mello seeks only to achieve his own ends; to become the new "L". Unlike his rival Near, Mello displays little interest in the "just and fair".
• With a focus that neither wavers, nor wanes, Mello will doggedly pursue a goal. It does not matter if lives are at risk. ⎯For the title of "No. 1", most brilliant and best, and second to none, Mello will gladly, and hastily, risk his own.
Other:
• Mello, much like his mentor L, possesses an inexplicable lust for sugar. Mello surrounds himself with chocolate. He keeps a bar or two on-hand, snacking compulsively, and habitually snapping off chunks.
• He is a Sagittarius, born on December 14th. At current, his age is 19.
• Assumed to be Catholic, Mello wears a beaded rosary, and collects religious artifacts.
• Although sociable, Mello maintains very few relationships. Outside of the Mafia, his closest contact is Mail "Matt" Jeevas. ⎯Another product of the Wammy's house, ranked 3rd beside Mello himself.

Elektra, just as her name implies, has lead a tragic life. Even tragedies in the making have innocent years. For Elektra, these were the first five years of her life. This was the time where her mother was still alive. Her father was dedicated to making her the best through rigorous training. His methods were questionable. We see in flashbacks that he would make her tread water in a pool for long periods of time without her hands, even when she was clearly starting to drown. But, it wasn’t all bad. Her mother would try to talk him and afterward she would comfort her.
Elektra was happy living like this until the day she witnessed her mother’s murder. An assassin from the Hand, for reasons unknown, killed her mother as young Elektra watched. Elektra was too stunned to react as the killer fled. When what she had witnessed started to sink in, she was devastated. The little girl took the necklace her mother often wore off her body and laid down next to her until the murder was discovered by the rest of the household.
After that, they left the home Elektra had grown up in and never looked back. Her father intensified her training from then on. Every year she got a new martial arts teacher so she would never be a victim like her mother before her. She excelled in her lessons and became everything her father wanted her to be; the model daughter worthy to be heir to the Natachios family.

Character: Arthur Pendragon not_a_clotpole Fandom: Merlin Character Notes: History:SPOILERS
As Crown Prince of Camelot Arthur has a lot of expectations placed on him and he places a lot on himself. He generally hides any uncertainties and fears he won't be good enough under a mask of cockiness and bravado.
Arthur idolises his father, King Uther, however in recent years they have clashed more than once over important issues especially in terms of how to tread the lower classes in Camelot and beyond.
Arthur is also close to his father's ward - Morgana, the two have a sibling-like relationship and love to tease each other, but when push come to shove Arthur will do anything (even disobey his father) to help her out.
A few months before his 21st birthday an out of towner by the name of Merlin saved him from an assassination attempt, and as a reward the King made the strange fellow Arthur's personal manservant. The two have a complex relationship which varies between friendship and relentless teasing. Whatever weirdness Merlin displays (and he displays it often) he's fiercely loyal to Arthur something which he deeply appreciates - no matter how many objects Arthur throws in Merlin's direction.
When it comes to romance Arthur's in a very precarious position, he is in love with Morgana's handmaiden - Guinevere and if the difference in class wasn't a big enough hurdle there is also the fact that his father had her father executed. Gwen doesn't seem to hold that against him, but ever practical she doesn't believe their relationship can possibly work. For his part, Arthur doesn't think it's fair to make her wait for the day when he will be King and can make whatever rules he likes. In the meantime the specter of an arranged marriage hangs over his head.
Arthur knows almost nothing about his mother because Uther refuses to talk about her, partly because of grief and partly because he is keeping a terrible secret (that is he asked a witch to use magic so Arthur could be concieved. The price for this magic was Igraine's life - a price Uther apparently didn't know about and as a result magic of any kind is punishable by death in Camelot and just after Igraine's death Uther instituted a Great Purge in which hundreds of men, women and children were killed sometimes on the flimsiest of evidence).
Personality:
As mentioned, Arthur is cocky - or in Merlin's words a clotpole (or prat if he's feeling nice). When you first meet him he comes off as someone who is every inch a prince, destined for the crown. He is fiercely competitive, but fears others might go 'easy on him' since he is the heir to the throne which fuels his doubts in his abilities.
As a Knight of Camelot Arthur places a huge amount of importance on the Knights Code of Honour - he'll never back out of a properly issued challenge even if the odds appear entirely against him.He also values fairness in so far as the lower classes are not taken advantage of and are protected (in the face of his father's more pragmatic approach of protecting and valuing the nobility). These views have become firmer thanks to his friendship with Merlin and his feelings for Guinevere.
Arthur carries around some guilt for being responsible (as he sees it) for his mother, Igraine's death as she died giving birth to him. He wishes desperately that he could have known her and have at least some sort of memory about her.
He also wants to please his father, for most of his life in fact he thought he was a disappointment to King Uther, his father has told him nothing could be further from the truth but because of Uther's own personality (cold, angry and paranoid) Arthur sometimes finds it hard to believe.
Despite his gnerally prattish and snobby behaviour, Arthur cares a great deal for the people of Camelot and wants to be a king they can be proud of.

Character: Nicole Caroline O'Gara Fandom: ExTerminators Character Notes: History:
Nikki is a poor, young woman living in Texas. She has anger management issues and is currently ordered by the court to take a class after ripping some dude's clothes to shreds because he wouldn't take them out of the dryer. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevada however and had to move because of an abusive boyfriend who she was going to kill. Nikki is the fourth sibling out of six. Three boys and three girls in total. Like the freaking Brady Bunch. She likes alcohol quite a bit and gets drunk often, probably to ease whatever pain she's feeling.
Nikki has become friends with Stella and Alexandria. They go to the Dive Bar every night after Therapy and just have fun and drink and smoke. She smokes quite a bit, especially when she's drinking, and if she isn't smoking, she's sucking on a lollipop. Nikki and her two friends decided one drunken night to follow an abusive husband who had come into the bar earlier that night to beat his wife. Stella got pissed and ended up ramming his car a few times, causing him to go off the cliff and set on fire, inevitable killing him. After that, women began to come to them, asking for "pest control" of horrible and abusive husbands. Nikki and Stella took up the offer while coy Alex shied away from it. Alex does not know what her two best friends do in their free time.
Personality: Nikki is; Abrasive, Impulsive, Vengeful, Intelligent, A Grammar Nazi, A Sexual Persuasion Ninja, Witty, Sarcastic, Manipulative, Quick Whipped, Big Mouthed, Angry, Aggressive, Quick to Act, Bi Polar, Doesn't Give Up, Does What She Has To Do, Loyal, Trustworthy, Blunt, Does not trust others easily, Mentally Unstable, Crazy, and Pretty Friendly.
